Still hoping for a 930 or 964 Porsche :D

Well... DLC maybe? Could just be the website having a few issues as well, though. Dunno :D

Dissapointed by the fact there is one jag, one Infiniti and 2 Honda's (but no NSX?) and seemingly no new Audi's (They have the S models, but no RS's?)

I am getting a little worried by how much emphasis is being placed on drifting in SMS's articles and in their car list, but at least they HAVE blogged about how you can progress with no problems even if you ignore the drifting section completely.

Which is what I'll be doing!

mee too, i just hope that all the drifting is in the drift section and all other six disciplines are free of it.

I'm guessing they are trying to push it so much since there hasn't really been any major attempt at putting drifting in the game.

I will give drifting a shot, will focus on racing though(drifting isn't racing).

I would agree if the drifting physics were the same as shift 1.

Shift's drift physics were altered from the racing physics and were terrible.

Using the standard physics model to drift with would showcase a new physics engine IMHO.

Under those circumstances I would definitely give it a shot. Not a big drift fan TBH and wouldn't enjoy fudged physics.

Same here. I must be something of a moron when it comes to drifting because I only manage to do it when I don't mean to and the other way round. Still, I think the discipline looks stunning when performed by proficient drivers. I'm always struck by those videos from Japan. Whether it's with Grid, GT5 or Shift, my friend can be equally impressive; I simply can't, but I'll definitely keep trying with S2U. It's totally different from regular racing but just as exciting. I understand why so many people around the world enjoy doing donuts and long slides, and I won't leave this aspect of the game behind!

I'd enjoy drifting with fudged physics as long as the fudging made it easier.

Although I'd much prefer learning to drift well on the standard physics system, as long as the system gives you the proper feedbacks you need to be able to reasonably balance the car.

Just out of curiosity but is Monza 1958 layout the GP cicuit and oval combined because so far that's the only reason for buying this along with racing Bathurst at night!

Spa doesn't get you juiced? So far, we have not seen a single shot of the oval section of Monza. I have my doubts it's in...

What game are you playing that only Bathurst excites you from that great list of tracks?

Why does it look like they have race-modified the cars? And why do they look uglier? I always think that the racecar variant of a road car is a little prettier.

It's called works converted, funnily enough Shift had the idea before GT5 did it. And, concerning the cars looking uglier, it's aerodynamics, so function over form.

no there is not 1958 layout with oval, it's just the normal one ( f1 layout) and than the junior version which doesn't involve the oval.

this is monza junior driven by a drunk man:

however the track list is amazing and don't forget underrated tracks like zolder, dijon and enna pergusa.

Thanks for the reply. It's a shame the combined circuit isn't in the game. I would a game to do this even though the oval is now overgrown and deteriated. Still can not wait for this game though!

Probably GT5...

I would be excited even if Bathurst was the only track in the game 👍

But Spa will also be great

Seems a little erratic and unnecessary is all that I am saying. What have they done to the Zonda F :yuck:?

Some of the cars do look better (Astons... gorgeous 👍), but what was the motif for converting them?

Up-dated :dopey:

If you want you have the option to leave them stock... so no need to complain
Its better that way - we that like to RM the cars can do it and you that like to leave them stock can do that too (and even save a lot of credits). now imagine that you couldnt RM the cars - only you would be happy and that wouldnt be fair would it? The aston works convertion in IMO one of the uggliest ones - that one I will leave stock myself... just goes to show that when it comes to taste everyone has their own and choise is a good thing...
