Good to see the misinformed are still prevalent at making misguided assumptions about the patch 👍, what would we do without you, good work your making the rest of us look a lot more intelligent :sly:.

Lol... why do so many people think that it was a preparation for the DLC, that makes no sence. If the DLC needed preparation it would be included in the DLC... But I can understand the doubt because the game feels pretty much the same to me besides the sticky car beeing fixed.

Well.. I can imagine that a developer prefers the entire installed base to run the same software version. So it makes sense to distribute DLC preparation code as an update also to people who perhaps don't buy the DLC-content just to keep everybody updated to latest state.

If people are running multiple different versions of your software, update management becomes a nightmare.

because also people that won't get the dlc need an update for the online stuffs, you also get the trophies even if you don't buy the dlc in fact your % of trophy's game is reduced but you can't unlock them, is just for comparison activity on psn. I remeber also uncharted had always an update before the dlc.

This is not true, I've seen quite a few games where they are patched for the dlc. I would guess it's so that the original game can cope with the new content being around in multiplayer mode and scoreboards.

I'm not saying it is or is not, we just do not know - of course you can guess, but that is all it is... 1.01 update may even contain some fixes, but we still don't know it's the patch griff has been talking about.

Interesting we know have the unofficial patch list, so perhaps if we can prove something on that list really is or is not fixed, we will know if this is THE patch :)
The only two fixes, I can see that would be 'provable' are:
- Fix tech hang on vehicle selection if own loaner car and it's upgraded it past initial class.
- Fix restarting or quitting a race while slow motion is active in replay
( the others I think sound subjective or difficult to reproduce)

Anyways, back to legends , it's a great dlc

As soon as I have time today I will download the patch and make a video to time the lag, as I did shortly after release. That should definitively show any reduction in lag. I really hope they're not just blowing smoke.

So this is it then, huh? This is the patch that is supposed to fix the input lag?

If so, I have to say that I am disappointed because the patched hasn't improved anything for me. I think I'm going to have to let this game go. Too bad, it has so much potential.

Bring on Motorstorm! lol =)

What about prize-money fix? Any insights?

Yes, that is what I'm most interested in also. Apparently, this problem isn't that prevalent or more people would mention it. All I can say is that I've leveled up once (17 to 18) post-patch, and I did receive my bonus cash. But, that doesn't prove anything since I was getting it roughly 50% of the time anyway.

Griff has added the following to his post in NogripRacing:
*EDIT* I originally said 'DLC title update' instead of 'title update 2' - the 1st console update is a subset because the equivalent of the 1st PC patch is split over two updates. My bad, that'll probably cause some confusion.

So, I guess this first console patch doesn't include all mentioned fixes.

IN MY GAME ON PS3 the patch fixes nothing. The game is the same as before with the same problems. I don't know what changes people are seeing.. maybe you want to see a change but there is no change but maybe it's my game. I look at everything important and it' all the same.. i also tested the modern A and there is stil the engine blow.

I already posted my comments on that and here's more:

Data for cars like the cobra, murcielago and GT-R (R35) SpecV has changed.

Just did the comparison with old PI changing upgrade vs changing upgrades after patch.

There must be changes for more cars.. just haven't found them.

PS: I never blew up the engine in the modern A invitational..

Aha! That could explain a few things. I wish they were being a bit more explicit about these things, maybe publishing patch release notes and such.

Yep and Griff also changed the description above the fixes to say title update 2, so it seems update 1 didn't do much except prepare for the DLC...

Good news that Griff has clarified things abit, those that are having problems can still hope that "titile update 2" will contain some of the things they unhappy with.

hopefully EA, will release the official patch notes from the 'console dev teams', which will let us know what has been fixed in 1.01

i wonder how far 1.02 is, if they did finish the pc build last week, hopefully the 1.02 patch cannot more than a few (2-3?) weeks away.

it's a famous bug, always i had to turn off damages to complete it.

Theres still hope after all :D I just hope that it doesnt take long to release patch n2.
Because Im not buying any DLC if the game isnt fixed.

I posted the question on nogrip to confirm if the wording was correct, so I am glad he updated the post to confirm that. But I posted a follow up question, because of wording used and because I am pushy. Part of me believes the rest of the fix is in the DLC, hopefully he squashes that.

I was not planning on getting the DLC until I saw what the patch fixed, i like the game, but there are some things which are frustrating.

I see you got your reply. Hopefully it wont be long.

You don't need the DLC to have the fixes included in the console patch.

Just to clarify things a little further - on console we split the equivalent to the first PC patch into two updates. The first update is already out.
The second update is from the same build as the PC patch. Both are currently in QA.

I had blown engines but as an accident. going in 6th gear using paddles and suddently one of your kids touches the H to 3rd gear means a blown engine but that's not because of the bug

And yes I know about the bugs but somehow i'm more less immune to the most serious ones or it doesn't happen so often as I see around here.

My works Gumpert is certainly less slippery now - but mid corner at speed the steering wheel STILL goes all light/floppy.

- PS3 with Logitech DFGT wheel

I'm not using the default settings. I'm using the ones from this thread. I'm too lazy to reset them to defaults and I wouldn't really be able to tell anyway as I played through the whole career with those settings (not the default ones).

Don't be like this lazy guy.

As suggested try resetting your wheel settings to see if patch takes effect.

Ive got a fanatec and both the xbox and ps3 s2u,
So I thought Id try I'd try the fanatec on the ps3 again to see if the patch had resolved the issues.

And I have to say it looks like it might have improved it at least my limited testing showed the ffb seemed better. However, I think something is not quite right still... As I'm still much faster in the xbox.

What I did was run the exige race on suzuka, I kept the fanatec on same settings (450 deg), and used the same game settings (450, and linear i.e. 50)
This should mean I'd get the same feel...
( I also reset both systems controls in setup, as there is some talk of this improving g25, so I did this just in case, I also did a restart race, as this seems to reset ffb on xbox). I connected wheel by usb on ps3.

Results, were ps3 is now quite playable, and no ffb dropout, it wasnt before, but steering is less responsive, and theres a 'drag' on the wheel. Both I think could be dialed out, e.g. Dpr -3, and use 360 deg perhaps.
(I'm guessing this differene is because baseline for the ps3 is based on g25, whereas the ms wheel is used for xbox.)

But the concerning thing is I was a full 2 secs per lap faster on the xbox, and also my lap times were much more consistent.

Are others on the ps3 still getting ffb dropouts with fanatec after resetting settings ?

Of course, I only ran the one race, but thought I'd share my experience

I just installed my xbox version last night. I haven't had a chance to try it with the Fanatec yet, but I did have to do the initial test race in the GTR with the controller to get to the in game menu to download the Legends DLC. On the PS3 this was a nightmare to control - I did it with the PS3 controller and was focused on the game and barely finished. On the xbox with stock controller settings and multitasking between the game and rocking my 2 month old in her bouncy seat I nailed the 1st place time on the time trial and came in third in the race. Granted, I was playing after the small 1.01 patch so SMS might have tweaked the default settings some, but the game felt better. Can't wait to try the wheel.

What happened to the DFGT with this patch? I reset the wheel settings, then brought them to where I had them before. I did a time trial with the Murcielago R-SV GT1 (for the WTC) and everything worked great (stellar, actually. Everything felt extremely natural and it allowed me to be really precise). Then, I continued the GT1 championship from a couple of days ago, and the FFB was really limp, and the lock seemed to be back up to 900 degrees. I tried resetting the wheel settings about 5 times, but with no avail. This is aggravating. :grumpy:

This is on PS3, btw.

I'll try that tomorrow morning when I get home from work. Your experience is really strange. I'll report back if that happens to me, but I'll try what you suggest in the other thread. 👍

same here, same wheel and ps3. FFB is gone after the reset and there is no way to get it back.
