I can report using a GT 2 on xbox is fine. But that's no conciliation.

where can I get the patch for PS3? I dont have internet at home :| Could I possibly download it to a flash drive? Also, what is this "LE Eboot" patch I keep coming across?

i've got a friend , not subscribed to gtplanet, with the dfgt.. and after the patch.. no more limited content and non more ffb like me. ..and i'm reading several case also io here.. me, Pakt, RomKnight, Start and Buzii ( LE lost too like mee).. etc PS3.

Well the fact that the LE content has seemingly been erased, insures you that it will get patched. They have to reinstate your content.

Just having to play the waiting game is a drag.
I know that feeling from having to wait for my wheel.

Hopefully DLC, patch and LE content will all arrive at a similar time for PS3 owners to offer some solice.

Well if the patch has deleted or corrupted your LE content they have a duty to rectify that.

Do you still have the code? Maybe the code is console specific and unlimited downloads to your console will work. I'm not sure.

Nothing is irreversible though. If all LE owners are suffering then they will sort it. IMHO.

I don't own the LE, wish I did. Was the extra content good? Did the extra events add alot.

LE and non LE only segregate the autologs. We ALL want to compete with each other, so everyone loses in that regard.

Fun is decreased if the only person on my friends list with LE is me. ( the LE content does post to speed wall right? ).

No no. I reinstalled games (shift 1 is one example) and I was able to reinstall the dlc from psn store.

yes it's very good, the events are real fun... and the cars have i to tell you that the murcielago is a beast and the alfa romeo giulietta an amzing looking car ?.. and yes it post times on autolog.

yes i have the code, it's written in the instruction book inside the cover.

Paul I'm not sure because I'm not near my PS. I am sure there is a downloadable history on the PS which shows all downloads.

Not sure if you need PSN up though.

Have a look through your XMB mate and try to find it.

I know I downloaded a load of singstar stuff and my console remembers it.

I don't think you can do that... I remember going to PSN Store looking for the game and everything I ever paid for its there to download for free.

I also remember the LE cars in GT5 appearing auto-magically upon booting the game after having the game data deleted to win the penniless trophy after which I restored the old data (i obviously had the backup... so much time cannot be wasted )

Now that I think about it, it should be the same thing as it happened in GT5. If you have a backup maybe you can try this:

- uninstall patch
- delete game data file
- boot the game (probably you'll have to do those 1st races)
- ignore patch warning
- check if everything its there
- exit/load the game
- install patch
- exit game
- restore game data file
- load the game

Just following the same logic. I haven't tried because I haven't lost LE. Bless my PS3

i don't have the backup.. but you know the mad thing.. in the carage i don't have the cars from the limited but if a press triangle before the race in order to select the car i can actually select for ex a giulietta and race it.. and if after the race i got into tuning i can tune the car, take photos, change livery.. but the car isn't in the garage neither in the dealer.... while events are gone, totally.. i only have the badges for having complete them.

I did a bit more testing of ps3 vs xbox version with the fanatec pwts.
Again with exige, and then a radical ( can't try gt1 as haven't got that far on ps3 profile)

It's definitely better than it was before on the ps3, the ffb feels perhaps different to the xbox , but not worst or better just slightly different and very playable.

But the steering doesn't feel as precise, I think there might be just a little more lag on the ps3, which means jumping between the xbox and ps3, sees your timing out ... Hence why I thought I needed quicker rack, after a few races though, you start to get used to it, then it seems quite playable. (though I did have the nasty feeling I was turning too soon, as if preempting the action)

I hope in 1.02 they have more improvements on steering for the ps3.

btw, for the record, I did the reset on both xbox and ps3 and no issue with ffb (fortunately!)

After that, the tune does not stick, and the FFB is basically gone...its there, just very weak.

Maybe I'm missing something, not that I could find reading through the threads though. I hope the 2nd half of the patch fixes things.

Romknights method fixed mine but lost le content. Probably just till psn is fixed.

i'm the first probably with RomKnight that sperimented the issue of loosing the ffb after first race. i can guarantee you that using my method or romknight method provide the ffb to be back and it's a lot better than before the patch, really really strong even if it has ffb losses in high speed turn if you turn too much the wheel.

The price of this improvement is LE content, if you delete the patch and you're not lucky enough you lost everything... but here is what happened to me:


- le cars should have been in your garage before unistalling the patch, so buy them.
- uninstall the patch
- you know that the LE cars are an alfa, a lambo and a nissan.. if you have other cars from this manufacture in your garage you won't lose the LE cars.
- if you don't have any alfa, nissan or lambo in the garage you will loose the cars
- now what you have to do is just buy a car from this manufacture and you'll get back also the lost car.. for ex i bought the 8c and i got the 8c and the giulietta.

while for the events there is nothing to do, they're gone.

hope to get it back with psn.

yes, incredible.. i had like 5/6 frezes and LE contet erased but i got all the cash!

And I must be one of the unluckiest! I've received about 50% of my cash bonuses through Level 18, I get freezes from time to time, and I've now lost my LE content.

But...I'm still having big fun playing this game!

I went back and tried some races yesterday and still had the same problem.

My Gumpert and Corvette Z06 felt great.Classic Muscle cars,Lamborghini's,Skyline R32 and others i can't remember off the top of my head still had hardly any Force Feedback and was near impossible to turn.

I seen that RomKnight had a fix for this,but i'm not chancing losing my LE content at the moment.It's hard tellin how many more days until PSN is back up.So i'm just going back and doing the races i already have an Autolog time for.This includes the LE,which is too fun to lose.

Any DLC, demos, full games, Qore or whatever can be downloaded again in the Account Management of the XMB.

Ok, curiosity got the best of me and I reset my wheel settings to make the patch take effect. Whatever they did with the patch worked, and on my first race, the FFB was better than ever. I no longer had the FFB drop out when the front end started to slide, and it felt damn near perfect. This was with the default settings that I had after resetting too.

However, just like many others on the forums, I started losing FFB strength after the first race. Long story short, I did what RomKnight suggested and got things running normal again.

Now that I restored everything, I have no loss of FFB strength like I experienced with my second race after the patch. But I have no improvements either. My FFB is exactly as it was prior to the patch. I still have the feeling of the FFB dropping out when the front end starts to slide.

I really hope they can get this sorted for the Logitech wheels, cause the first race you do when the patch is working is quite a difference.

I had cars from nissan and lamborghini but NOT an Alfa Romeo besides the Giulietta and have all the cars. Maybe have at least one more car of the said manufacturers will do the trick. In any case, better safe than sorry and buy on of each manufacturer.

Glad to know my method worked. I can't help with the events though, sorry.

Yes, but it drops later as if when you really lose the steering instead of losing the front just because. Plus you get a stronger FFB. So I 'd say its a welcome improvement and one that add to realism. No car has grip "ad aeternum".

At least its the way it works for me. Also, the floating feel to cars is greatly reduced with Lotus Exige S the being the very first example. I can beat it 5 times in a row with hard AI after the patch ( I could've done more tries but i got bored )

PC Patch is out! Input lag fixed! Woooo hooooo! FFB during rolling starts fixed! Yeaaah! Per-fect Did you guys get patch 1.02 on ps3 yet? It should fix the input lag.
