WHOOOOO-HOOOOOO...

YES! My phonecall to Sony had the desired impact. I have been vindicated:
I WAS RIGHT!!
Nothing will gove me more satisfaction than reading the law-breakers' complaints!

I'm so happy!

Yes, it obviously was your very own phone call to Sony, that mainly made PD patch the game. So important that phone call was. It sure was!

Rejoice! :dopey:

Fixed that for you. It isn't against the law. It is against the TOS.
Whoooooo hoooooo doesn't mean crap Whoooooo hoooooo.

Not even interested in getting into how you calling Sony alone did anything at all. Mainly it will probably result in me losing brain cells with your future replies.

Because when i was against hybriding at first (at the time had only seen ridiculous/unrealistic cars. I actually called Sony to see if they were doing anything about it. Do you know how interested they were in it? Little to none at all. They sent me to the website to complain there (and only complaining against certain members which I refused to do). I was just seeing if they were even interested in the subject. The guy sounded like a teleprompter/reading from a script.

Looking on another site, it appears that 2.12 hasn't cured the 'hacking problem'. It's just got rid of many good and realistic cars without tackling the problems. Here's what one thread says.

Suspension hacks: Not possible
Engine Swaps: Not possible
Drivetrain Swap: Not possible
Chassis Swap: Not possible
Turbo Swap: Possible but cars receiving parts must be fitted with stage 3 turbos anyway
Wingless: Not possible
Paint: Still works
HP multiplyer/mods : Still Possible, but some tuning parts reduce HP
Hidden tyres: Still work, but here's the best bit. For example: If you fit RSS tyres to your car, in an online lobby it will tell you that you are using RSS. But, for everyone else in the room it will show that you are using the cars stock tyres.

So you cannot make a V8 swapped Miata, or a V12 E type, or a replica drift car.
But you can make a 40,000HP Lamborghini with Racing Super Soft tyres that appears to be using Sports Hards. :dunce:

So, we had this cool new functionality on GT5, it gave us much larger freedom with the cars, due to this fact, group 1 (IDIOTS) can then go about making stupid cars and cheating the game and others.

Yet on the flip side others (group 2) can use this new freedom to make truly brilliant cars (which most did).

PD then ruins it for group 2 and leave many options open for group 1, so as this dry spell of hybridless online play slowly comes to an end and the trolls get back on track, I can truly put this game in the draw and never bring it back out.

Ta taaaa :grumpy:

Agreed. If anything they made it worse

People are finding ways around everything ;)

The funny thing is, PD only disallowed the realistic good cars, and didn't make the 10000000000000hp cars disappear. Unbelievable.

Trying.

And yep in my opinion, it was a horrible decision on their part

Excellent, so not only did they not do anything about the type of hybrid no one wanted, they also went and made cheating easier. Btw, online is horribly unplayable for me with this new 2.12 patch.

Can't say for sure it's the patch, but it's pretty coincidental.

Ironic isn't it? hahahaha..
Classic PD fashion ;)

This dude is funny. He only has 1 of each car lmao.

1. not a dude, 2. I don't spend hours upon hours on GT5 or even my PS3. 3. What's the point of having multiple of one car? There are 3 slots for 3 different settings for one car. 3 settings 1 car is the equivalent of 3 of the same car.
Point?
So This Thread has become a Safe Haven for GT5 Modders/Hackers/Hacked PS3 owners with too much time on their hands/etc

Kazunori Yamauchi (GT5 Producer/Director) Didn't and will never say: "Modding? HEY go for it!" He didn't release an update that handed those mods out. They patched it the best they could at the time.
It makes people look really selfish when they cry and complain about not being able to mod/hack GT5 anymore.

Those calling other idiots because they fully support PD or not cheating/glitch abuse. You should go apologize to your parents for wasting their time raising you, to grow up to know how to behave online or offline. Keep the rude insults to yourselves.
Wasn't interested in needing to lock a thread but it's sounding pretty good about now since this thread was mostly voted by those who wish to abuse a feature that wasn't made by PD and never will be. It isn't a 100% fix but lets see you script it better?

Not using the power limiter to down tune. Instead, building a car up to a certain spec (like in real life). Easy answer

It's more like a tragedy than funny.. I'm quite sure they've tried to get rid of something else (while patching), but really failed on that.

3. What's the point of having multiple of one car?

Sometimes 3 tuning sheets are not enough.
I guess you haven't tried hard on TT's back when they were open to PP. Or you are an alien tuner that is satisfied with three slots..

When i called Sony, i spoke with someone who had no idea this was happening.
My argument was strong, sound, and indesputable. Thanks to the hackers for your evidence. It was verry telling, to say the least. He was so gravely concerned, he promised to send a copy of the phonecall directly to Sony's HQ.
Good has conquered evil, so i rest my case.

I wasn't really on GT5 before the PP's were put into GT5 :sly: [Trophy unlocked: First Smiley expressed] 3 is enough. 1. Drift, 2. Drift, 3. Drift with less HP.

Let me insert another one for you that suits your logic.

4. What's the point in having virtual cars? Just go and buy a real one, the game will never have the equivalent feel.

So you don't play the game, you appear to miss a huge key point in why people own this game, yet you come across as if what you want is more important than those that dedicate themselves to the game a heck of a lot more than yourself. Surely the game should be made to satisfy the hardcore players and not the casual ones, you know the guys who have played everyday since GT1, rather than the pick up and play once a fortnight style player? (looking at the seasonals and all with this outlook too).

You come across as a bit of a sad individual to me, I just hope you've led a perfect life where you have not broken a single law or rule of any type anywhere, anyhow. If so, that would make you a hypocrit. I don't believe anyone has gone through life without breaking some sort of rule.

Hahahaha same exact thing happened when I called. I provided them with information on the subject. Stated the same usual crap that everyone that comes in this thread (the hatred aspect). You are actually going to sit there and tell me that just because you called Sony that's why the patch was released? No just no. They said the same thing to me. If i called again right now, they would say the same thing.

Ok let test something here.
If you had seen people hacking on say Battlefield 3.
You got so angry that you picked up the phone and called Sony. So happens that a patch for the hacked comes out. Does that mean your call to Sony made a difference? Not really (because that is EA's responsibility not Sony's)

So do you know for a fact it was your individual call that made the patch happen? No that's more ludicrous then me saying I made the patch happen.

You need to realize that a Sony representative will not tell you anything. They read from a teleprompter. That's why i told you they said the same thing about a month or two ago. Chose to live in a dream world and take credit for something that you have absolutely no proof that's the reason for this happening.

More like a person in a delusion

Also I see you have not read my post to you again. I guess i didn't burst your bubble there.

??? PPs where in the game from day 1..
Congratulations on your trophy *facepalm*

Yeah, I really LOVE it. It's just YOUR point of view that justifies EVERYTHING on your opinion. What you don't need on the game, is not to be used by anyone else.

Like no other options allowed, everything else is bad!

You haven't even READ my description on why 3 slots sometimes are not enough 👎

lol Soo much angry fanboys. Relax. no one is targetting you. I own a car, in fact 2 but will soon be one once I sell the extra. Actually I live in a big city I really do not need a car considering I can just take the train everywhere or bus. I'm not going to go out and try and drift my car through 24/7 jampacked roads.. This is why Driving games are made. Relax yourself. You guys don't need to be jerks to make a comment. Have a little more respect for those who respect you.

No anger here, it takes something to truly irk me, text is not nearly as expressive as speech. Of course you wouldn't drift in traffic though, you don't do it on GT5 either, you do it all on closed off circuits. Why can't you just do that with a real car?

Like the guy a couple of posts above says, why restrict options? As for the respect, I'm not purposely trying to be disrespectful, yet at the same time the anti-hybrid brigade show little respect for the hybrider's opinions either.
