Stock M3 on Midfield challenge

The challenge:

Factory spec BMW M3[ no Mods]
Medium sport tyres

-On Midfield, the right way around [ going downhill down the main straight]

I've done a time of 1.21.1sec, which has even won me 1st place in a local[ South Africa] GT4 competition held at a popular mall.

If someone can beat that, i'll be hugely impressed!

What kind of BMW was it exactly?
M3 or M3 CSL or M3 GTR?
There are diferences between their power: 343-358-380 HP...
Maybe I'll try this one because I like Mid-Field.

I would guess he means the straight-forward 338BHP '04 M3. At least, that's what I used because it comes ready unlocked in arcade mode

Ran a few laps in this as Midfield is a nice easy track and thought 5 laps and I'll submit ... haha! this car is wicked in stock form and such a great drive I got hooked on it for a good 25 - 30 laps ... here's my best so far 24.8xx / 48.7xx - 1'19.327
I could hit a 1'18 with lots more laps and a more determined session, again I say for no adjustments in anyway! .. this car in stock form is a brilliant drive

I honestly thought that time was unbeatable. I thought maybe a high 1'20 was possible, but a low 1'19:tup:

Ps. Did u do that with a dualshock controller or a steering wheel?
Would you say its easier to drive on the limit with the steering?

Hi mate I ran that on the DS2, and it was in the normal stock BMW M3 '04, its a very easy car to drive for sure 👍

Well,well.
1'19.200 but to be honest with you I used the extra tarmac part in the second tunnel...So it is not WRS clean but replay saved.
Maybe Hekke can do a 1'18ish lap.👍

Even he beats me by miles in the looks department.. so therefore all I could muster after a short session was 1'19.097. 👎

Ran a few more laps on this combo and now its getting tough to improve anything so far i'm down to..

.. 24.744 / 48.587 = 1'19.113 and can see another .1 tops with a better section after T2, any chance you guys can post your splits so as we can compare where we lose or gain? thanks in advance 👍 I reckon one of us can crack the 1'18 with some decent effort ... my money is on hekke as always Cheers guys I will run some more on this after work tonight

Hi mate and welcome to the madness 👍 I gotta say I couldn't help but notice the brilliant split you have from T1 - T2 were you have made a full .2 of a second over anyone else it seems ... and come to think of it your T2 - the line is as good as Hugo's ... now either you are one hell of a driver who is simply crap at turn 1 on Midfield? or you have adjusted the car in some way which is against the the thread starters suggestion for the combo

I know something is definitely wrong anyway because I'm not used to losing .2 per section at Midfield unless its the dreaded last tunnel blues in a slippy arsed car or the opposition is pretty much World class like a few of the guys running this at the moment are .. but anyway no big deal if you haven't read the ruling for this combo properly .. just hook it up again and run with the correct stock M3 '04 with stock sports medium tyres and dont adjust the power or weight for the car in anyway 339hp/1570kg and then we can see how you really stack up against us 👍

Well I can accept that you might be "really really good" at Midfield mate .... but I also consider myself to be pretty damn good at Midfield and I can say for sure that your splits dont add up to that total laptime with the same car I am driving you are blatantly killing 3 veteran racers from T2 to the line and I assure you we have been racing each other for years in GT4 and GT3 and we know our way around this track with our eyes closed! and to be beating the fastest of the 3 in one split by .2 of a second is something only a replay will make me believe is possible 👍 ... without a replay I am sorry but I will just ignore your time and consider it made up
Are you drifting or something that might explain that crazy sector time?

Please consider buying a replay device and proving me wrong as I would like you to do

I must say that I am with Ron...
You loose so much time in the first two sectors that you can't shave off under just one corner.
Maybe you are using Sport Softs,isn't it possible?
But that means that you are not "really,really good" at Mid-Field.
I am only "not so bad" here but I can't get 1'19.5 with a little mistake neither,not even with two bad sectors.

About amemyarz... well, I don´t see Hugo, Ron, myself nor anyone else, for that matter, losing a good 3 tenths in the final sector to you unless you´re one hell of a driver or got your settings wrong in the first place.
