Fair play :P A bit like Prostreet really then, that was a terrible game, but the car selection...

Yeah pretty much! At some point I won't have to deal with the physics because all I'd be doing is painting cars.

Hello my friend, where is your Anti roll bar settings ???? Nice tune. Good luck.

I'm in on begging the testers for any sort of feedback, even if its via pm.

As for Shif2 its not bad really. No the physics aren't up to par with GT5 but the career mode is way better and much more logically laid out. Also the way upgrades affect the cars class that it can be raced in works much better than the PP system here. Finally your race position at start varies from race to race, and the AI is better than GTs as far as actually racing you and each other. Yes the driving can feel slightly more arcadey but makes a fun change of pace and the livery editor will keep you busy for hours.:odd:

I ain't gonna be able to test today because of a headache. I'll have the testing done by the end of the next weekend at maximum.

Post the damn feedback or the next time you say "I ain't gonna test", your excuse is going to be much more fatal than a mere headache. :mischievous:

Anyway, since it's Saturday, I suppose that means I'll have to stick my neck out and jump in on the feedback. Not "officially", but just to stop the thread and the tuners exploding.

@Roj, YAY!!! YOU GOT BLUR!!!! We should have a online session in the near future…settle our slight sparks with a few loud explosions and a red missile thing.

4/4 IIRC, maybe someone testing can check for me.

Both are actually fully online/offline compatible, that's a first for me.

Great minds think alike, especially on car choice.

Aarrrgggg. Hey Onboy how about you test my Lambo to see how it is, tell me, and then when I wake up it will be a surprise :dopey:

I NEED FEEEEEDDDDDBBBAAACCCCKKKK!!!!

...again sorry.... I just needed to :D

Tested 9 of 10 in the GT500 class. TrackRipper123 planning to be on tommorrow to accept friend request. Can test again tomorrow night then post feedback.

The wolves are howling for blood and need some feedback meat to satisfy their hunger or they go after the testers with a vengeance...and yeah I'm one of the wolves hear.

Come on guys give us a little love please.
Quit teasing us about how many cars you've tested or what you've been doing instead and give us tuners something to gnaw on here besides your ears.:odd:

Eh, not too fond of clueless after our recent scrape, so nope, screw that. :P

I'll probably start drip feeding you lot just for fun, come to think of it. I wonder...times first or feedback first?

X - Too tired to post feedback right now. Wrote it all down and will type it tomorow after testing the last car. I will say that I liked your Lambo. Good trans, good corner entry and mid corner. Pretty well balanced tune. I like the overall tune, but there are some tiny areas for improvement. The other Lambos were stronger under braking. I did get a tiny bit of outside wheel spin off the 2nd gear hairpins. Maybe one click lower LSD Accel... maybe? I couldn't rip off the corner exit like I wanted to.

Good tune, but right now you're right in the middle of the pack. There are four tunes that are just off the charts outstanding.

...Why do I get the feeling the testers enjoy doing this? :odd:

It's part of the fun, you get everyone pissing themselves for results and then post them when they're about to kill you.

I'm so going to post my mini-feedback results just before the site maintenance.

Benchmark- Onboy123's Raybrig NSX '06- 1:38.018

Krenkme’s Nomad Diablo GT1- 1:38.981

Twitchy at the limits, just how I like it, LSD kills chance of extreme oversteer unless it’s in the low speed chicanes. Good top end pull from 5th - 6th, but is beaten in terms of acceleration in 2nd - 4th by other entries. The handling is a toned down (read as- better) version of my NSX in terms of feel, twitchy and unnerving, but won’t do you much harm. However… for some reason, I’m slower in this car than everyone else is…

Ugabugaz’s Takata NSX ’03- 1:37.855

Fits me like a glove, no understeer to speak of, a little loose at the limits when exiting some corners but otherwise, perfect. Steering response is good, nice and quick, but not so quick that the rest of the car is thrown off balance. Gearing is…like the rest of the car, very well done, no real complaints though if I was being picky, I’d say there could be a little bit less shift lag between the lower gears. Overall, very solid and well done tune.

Motor City Hami’s Takata NSX ’03- 1:38.248

Ditto the above, but with one difference. This NSX is that it feels more natural to drive. Not neutral, natural. It feels more like its road going counterpart, I suppose, and that's good. I was almost getting tired of how the Takata NSXs seemed to latch on to my driving style and perform some quick laps, but feel so soulless and lacking in "feel" in the process. This is fast but fun, a hard trait to get with race cars, I find. As mentioned above, gearing "lag" is an issue, but it's nothing big to fuss over, the car doesn't stop dead when changing gears, so I'm just nit-picking again.

Adrenaline’s Takata NSX ’03- 1:37.456
*sigh* I told you so……[/annoying voice]

Faultless, in a word. Absolutely fantastic to drive. MCH's car and then some. Its messiest lap was on par with the time I set for ugabugaz's car, and the lap in his car was pretty tidy. I can't really say much about this car…it rotates exactly when I want it to, and points its nose at exactly where I want it to be facing. The steering responses are quick and it gets its power down without trouble.

GeeBaby's Takata Dome NSX '03- 1:37.646

Very smooth and easy, as expected of the Takata NSX, quite like Adrenaline's car, though this does feel more planted and doesn't rotate as eagerly. Not that this is a bad thing. I could use nearly full throttle (well…70-ish%) through the last section and the car could cope just fine, so it's very balanced as well.

XDesperado's Nomad Diablo GT1- 1:39.960

This Diablo is probably the harder one to drive, it feels nervous and on some low speed corners, it likes to get sideways even if you short shift. My 'complaint' would be fairly similar to everyone else, give it a bit more downforce, front downforce especially. I'd have set it at 25-30/40, but that's personal preference. Look pass that though, the tune itself doesn't seem to have any issues. It lost a lot of time at…you guessed it, the last section. It had trouble getting its power down and rotating into the corners, often over rotating or not turning enough.

MrGrado’s Nomad Diablo GT1- 1:39.140

A hybrid of the 2 other Diablos. Looseness of XDesperado's car, easiness of Krenkme's (though not as easy). It oversteers very slightly exiting slow corners, as well as the sweeping left in the last section. I have to be very gentle with the throttle in 2nd, but otherwise, it's very controlled.

Trackripper's Castrol TOM'S Supra- 1:38.502

Not bad at all for a car that was hardly competitive in this field to begin with. The car corners competently enough, though it does oversteer when you exit corners with a bit too much throttle. It also seems to push slightly when taking that corner before the 100R. I'd say the brake balance is a bit strong for the front to rotate freely under braking, maybe try 6/8? Otherwise, I've got not much to complain about.

CSLACR's Calsonic IMPUL R35- 1:37.628

Very stable in slow corners, absolutely none of the snap oversteer that plagues most GT500 cars is present. Slight understeer from mid corner onwards, but apart from that, no faults at all. Keeps up remarkably well with the far superior Takatas, which is quite a feat in itself.

Oh yeah :P
Still...

Now go return the favour. :P

I'm also waiting on feedback, you know. I know what will be said though-

"GT300: Murderously twitchy, I don't like driving it.
GT500: Murderously twitchy, death in corners."

But then I'd just think that I must have a thing for cars that kill, since although I'm probably slower than the tester in question, I'd have driven the car better.

@Onboy if your through with family time how about giving my pair a quick run and letting me know what you think?

I'm dying for someone to tell me if their horrible garbage or just slow...:odd::crazy::lol:

Give me…3 hours or so. :P I told you, drip feed the results, it's so much fun watching you all sharpen your teeth but are completely unable to do anything about it!

Eh, read MCH's post. :P

I'm at music college all day, so I doubt I can get on the PS3 until maybe tomorrow, if not then it would be Tuesday when I can next go on...

But you know what I'm gonna say  If I'm alive to say it by the end of the test.

Wait since when did I turn into a tester? I'm not one :P

You told me you didn't go to a music school. ._.

Eh…it's a mentalist? I'd put you in a few of my WIP tunes so you can see just what happens when I'm being not-mad, but I can't be arsed to.

Since when? Since the moment I decided you need to return the favour for me giving you all that advice for the GT Concept. :P

I don't. Not full time anyway. Normal school weekdays, music school saturdays, see?

And the GT Concept still won't lug its fat ass around corners as well as I'd like.

So you do, just on Saturdays. What do you actually do there, sit in front of a Steinway piano for 24 hours hammering away on the keys?

Well…last-resort-which-probably-won't-work-at-all is to use alternate tyres front/rear, so sports soft at the front, hards at the back.

Yeah I think this all got said the last time I derailed a shootout thread with Shift 2 talk.

Is this going to be a new part of our shootout discussion? The "How shift 2 is a better racer but GT5 is the one we have because x/y/z"?

Alright, when? :D

Also, I've just driven MCH's GT500 entry, very much the fastest car as of now…though I've only done 3.

Probably not.

When I get the game and I've at least unlocked a few cars.
