Tbh I haven't played around much with suspension at all (I don't know what half the stuff does, so I don't know what to touch :P), just downforce and transmission. I stiffened the suspension up at the back, but messing with camber and stuff didn't seem to do much for laptimes, not that I really understand entirely what toe in, toe out, camber, etc. actually does for the characteristics of a car. This is for the Arta Garaiya though, sure it'll be much different for other cars, and I think out of all the GT300 cars the Arta probably naturally handles better anyway.

What have you done to the downforce then? Too much will result in loss of top speed, right?
 
Its very hard Andil, im driving with a DFP from gt4, all settings off, abs set to 1 and MT. Moieman plays with a DualShock, settings same as mine, only AT, and managed to get 2.03.xxx with the Garaya.

That was the guy RedSuinit was talking about.

Anyone here online right now that can get me info on the Lexus WEDS SPORT IS350 '08. I need top speed set to 250kméh or 160mph, the I need Individual Gear Ratios, Final Gear and Peak HP and TQ with respective RPM. Please!

High downforce is without a doubt the way to go at Suzuka - even when I was running literally full downforce there was negligible difference in straight line speed - I'm running 31 on the front and 52 on the rear iirc. If you can take 130R flat out and feel comfortable (in a GT300, sure it's way different in a 500) then that's enough downforce imo - if you have too much, you will know it.

That's true, im running the same downforce setting, but i decrease a bit to get more high-speed, the car was still stable.
 
Practice tomorrow at 7:00 pm GMT, guys? Hoping for more GT500 cars, so I too can prepare for the race.

Running 2.07.xxx in the RX-7 at the moment, 2.08 on a bad lap. That's about as far as I'm going to get with my limited tuning knowledge at the moment though, I think.

Can we get a rough idea of who's using a wheel and who's using a pad?
 
Wheel user here. Going home to try Downforce now and 130R Full throttle :)

Wow, I haven't even touched DF yet and I am already taking 130R full throttle. I might just be able to keep up with 1'03's after all.

That´s going to be a very close race, we are all between 2.06-2.05, in ours best lap, that means we can't keep that momentum forever, in 20 laps, the tire wear and other stuff will probably slow us down, such as the new mechanical damage. So fast laps only count to qualifying.

I noticed that rx7 have a disadvantage comparing to the ARTA, rx7 have no "power" at low revs, because its a rotary engine, however the strong point is at middle, high revs and the corner capability is best than the Arta. Dont know about the Weds Lexus, but i think its probably equal to Cusco Impreza. Still need to measure up this 2 cars.

So its going to be a good race i think :D.

Just hit 2'04"135 on fresh tires and a full tank of gas... W00T! Bring it ON Moieman! That DF REALLY helps.
 
Haha, nice! Told you :P - I've only done a 2.04.08 on full tank, 2.03 was half-tank :P - Really looking forward to this now.

Hahahaha! Added up all of my fastest sector times, and if I could hit every section with my fastest sectional time I could hit 2'02"749 with a full tank of gas.

Too bad I am not that consistent... :(
 
Bah! Ok i've spent some time working on my line and making tuning adjustments.

SO, I too am now running 2:06.xxx Getting real close to cracking into 2:05s. rahhh.

I wish I had bought a wheel already! This is a blast though. Race on Sunday will be a lot of fun.

Edit: I see i missed that its been set to sun for sure. Good to know.

Really nice event you have set up here. So keep up the good work. There should be races like that more than once a week. ;)

I feel like a real professional driver with all the talk and build up for this race. Come Sunday, I will probably be too nervous and spin in the first corner and get humiliated by the others speed.

You GT300 guys have great talk about lap times, etc, but I havn't seen anything from us in the GT500. Maybe they are playing mental games.

Anyhow, I found a new better tune path yesterday and managed a PB of 1'56.2 with most laps in the 1'57-1'58. Don't know to change fuel so it was with full tank and new tires. So hopefully I should be able to avoid the disgrace of finishing behind the GT300 cars in my GT500.
 
Is there serious lag online with chat enabled?

I think it would be best to have it on so that each driver can serve as their own spotter.
Be it for slower traffic or close side by side racing, if you know what i mean.

Practice mode. That's the best way to hotlap, you can make adjustments easily, and you always have a full tank of gas and your tires don't wear out.

Chat lag: There are settings to have chat low and still place race quality at very high. We should do some test runs using the different settings because being able to let us know would be useful. And other than that we should have a minimum chat rule so that we can keep focus. Plus being able to apologize should you tap somebody is good as well.

Don't trim it back, turn it all the way up. I am a few ticks from full downforce on both front and rear.
 
I would love to watch this race since my son, Jaedon, will be driving. I was going to try to get in but I see that it is closed. I'll watch to register for the Fuji race though. Hopefully, I can get into the race on Sunday. I'm not sure what I have to do to watch, but my PSN is "NBA336" I will try to add you to my friend's list Strittan. Cheers,:)
 
2.06.XXX's fo rme...can't figure out how to get faster. I know it's stringing 3 sectors together. IMO the subaru has a little more pick up and go than the Lexus, 4WD is the reason lol.

I guess I have to aim for the 2.05.XXX's now lol.
