Gotta say this is my favorite seasonal yet. It is a blast going around that eifel track with an RM'd Lotus of sport softs :)

Then next time out I tried my zr1 then a mclaren f1. Great fun changing upfrom the eifel track in the k cup.

Isnt the eifel track change weather and time ? I must have driven it 15 times today and allways sunny.

How lame are these races? Absolutely no challenge unless you use something ridiculously slow like a Focus ST or Volvo C30. I nailed these events (Eifel, for example i had a 6 second lead) in a 100% stock E46 M3. How on earth would a standard M3 leave cars like a Veyron and 458 Italia for dead? Come on PD, whilst i appreciate your efforts to keep updating the game, stop insulting us with these pathetic 'challenges'. They're not even challenging to a one armed blind chimp. 👎

nice, what r the stock tires that come with that? you used them right ,no change. pp. please?

Will let you know tommorrow when i switch the PS3 on :)

I tell a small lie actualy, it's not 100% stock - i sprayed it !!!

EDIT; skip that, just managed to have a quick look. Sports Hards, 464pp, crap oil. Like i said, 100% stock.

love that seasonal. many cars you can use + 3 of 5 tracks are nice. :)

Eifel circuit was a blast. Thank you so much, PD! Like so many other seasonals, I don't consider it a grind, but more like a warm up. These past events have been a lot of fun.

I love how the only requirement is under 700PP, go take any car you want basically and go make a ton of money at it! Score! If only the XP payout was high as well :(

When you know what your talking about come back but till then dont post what you dont know.
just for your information when the first hot hatchs came out they where running around 115bhp golf MK1 Escort XR3 i owned one. Also there has never been a Ford Focus RS500, the only RS 500 was the first 500 cars made in the 3 door hatch ford sierra and most where used on the track mid eighties they evolved to become the now famous sierra cosworth but with a 2 litre engine as apposed to a 1.6, the nearest the Focus came was 2002 when they made the 3 door hatch called the Focus RS

I think he was talking about this...The 2011 Ford Focus RS500...

And that's not going to be available in the U.S. We only get the Titanium edition, which is still pretty cool, but it is not the RS. I live in Dearborn, and the Ford proving grounds are right at the end of my street. It kills me to see a few European Focus RS editions in their parking lot. Stop playing with these cars right in front of me if you aren't planning to bring them here.

Hey has anyone tried a fully modified Dodge SRT4? Been running mine on eifal. Took forever to get a win, not enough time for me to catch the McClairens and R390, had to wait till a Ferrari California showed up as the lead car. Of course I'm a lousy driver and not great on setups so...haven't tried the other races with it yet. Only using abs1, driving line and race softs.

Would anyone argue I can earn more doing event as opposed to 1 lap at La Sarthe in the French Seasonal Event? If I do 2 laps in 2 races at 4 mins each, thats almost 240,000 credits in about 8 minutes (plus a few menu clicks). According to the screen shots in this thread, I could earn about 160,000 in 7.5 minutes. I think the French seasonal is more lucrative.

The Eifel race (the last one) can be completed in 5 minutes. $163,000/5 minutes is $33,000/minute.

It's essentially the same rate as $240,000/8 minutes. Or $101,000/3 minutes in the Eifel K Car race.

We are going to get a Focus ST in the near future. Will most likely have a 200+ horsepower Ecoboost engine. Should be a fantastic car.

Specs are already on the Ford website, but no build and price info yet. Will be cool, but not a five cylander turbo with 300+ hp of the RS. Damn U.S. insurance companies.

Ahaha you are complaining the races are too easy and you are running tc 1 I completely understand now lol

I find it novel that we're talking about a Focus... in a thread for the supercar seasonals.

Anyways, what cars have you guys been using in the events?
I went for my 587PP Viper ACR. Seemed to work quite well, I don't understand why they let you have 80 more PP than the 'best' competitor.

Yes because thats easy mode imho. To come and complain that races are too easy then say he runs tc1 is trolling, of course its going to be easily winnable with slow cars with TC1. I run ABS1 only and they were challenging with the car choices I made. Maybe he is a super driver? I am not.

Why's it 'trolling'? Get over yourself, driving god! I was under the impression that everyone can set up their cars how they want without your approval. Bloody 'Elitists' do my head in.

I dont recall you being at the checkout and paying for my game when it was purchased, so dont tell me how to play it. :):)

One word: Tsukuba! :yuck:

I dunno if PD are actively trying to make everybody hate Tsukuba but with me they definitely managed to achieve exactly that. And of cource I had to runit twice... I beat every other race with a stock GT-R safe for sports softs with no problem. But when I finally got myself to drive that horrible Mickey Mouse-track the R390 was on pole and there was no way in hell to catch it with sports soft tires. So I put on Racing hards and voila... a Ferrari GTB or whatever on pole so I was 1st in 3rd lap or so.

Sigh.

Hmmm. I love Tsukuba! Need a good tune and shorter gears for that track. Finished 3rd using a 330hp Integra. To each their own.

I just think the game gets a little better each time PD adds another way to make decent credits/min. I still have nightmares about being trapped in an infinitely long K-cup race:scared:

I am having trouble finding a nice balance of cars for this seasonal. For the muscle car seasonals, I was able to de-tune a number of cars to make it challenging to beat the lead AI on the last lap. I have like seven cars that all drive just a little bit differently and turn laps just enough to beat the AI.

For this seasonal, I either have cars that are way too much for the challege or way to little. The PP limit is 700. I'm killing the AI with 500pp. Any suggestions on cars to try?

This one was quite fun. I used a S2000 LM Race car. Was hard to catch up on some tracks as it just lacked speed, but made up for that in the corners with racing hards and the downforce.

Tsukubu is a let down, that is one awful track, I raced this event yesterday in my Tommy ZZII car, stock and quite enjoyed it. Tried the Zonda first but that was far too rapid. Still, not a bad event with good credits on offer.

Well I drive with all the aids turned off, the tv upside down and with the 6axis controlled via my toes and anyone who can't drive like that must be really poor
