I also hope that when an opponent makes contact with you he stays glued to you for 5 seconds like in shift 2 :S

Either Im not understanding correctly or you got it wrong... this is made by SMS and here is the proof... hope this settles it once and for all

...and from that interview it doesnt look good/different in terms of handling (comparing to Shift) because she avoids every question about physics or handling and says the major improovement/difference is the career mode/events...

It looks terrible. The cars look like they are floating along in the track on a lazy Suzan or rotating cake platter or something. Awful. I hope this is no indication of what pCARS will be like. And WHY isn't pCARS influencing this?

You really shouldn't bring pCARS into this at all. And if you do want to then I suggest going to the pCARS thread and asking people how much like Shift 2 it feels. ;)

Shift 2's physics weren't that bad. The problem is, most people played the game with the default controller settings and the default car setups, which are horrible. Once you've got the controller set up properly and the cars setup properly, the physics feel so much better, although they're still not quite as good as FM4/Race Pro/LFS/Rfactor etc.

I'm interested in this Ferrari game, hopefully the driving experience is as visceral and immersive as Shift 2. I like the car and track list SMS have chosen for this game, the classic Ferrari F1 cars in particular should be a lot of fun. 👍 Hopefully some/all of these cars will be included in Project Cars.

Trailer does not look good at all :grumpy: At least to me, and that's only my private opinion. Previous videos showing game play looks much better.

I wonder how F1 cars will behave in Shift physics.

It was stated by the developer that the physics for the game are setup for pick up and play racing. With the emphasis on fun. To me that means it is gonna be the same old slow to react , hit detection lag. Maybe they will turn the magnets on the cars down for this game. I hope this game plays well, but I have high doubts it will. :indiff:

I keep on wondering how they call that handling to be fun...:ouch:

If they decided to postpone release date and works some more time to fix some issues it shouldn't be that bad. Ill play TD:Ferrari since there is no other decent racing game on the market for ps3.

I can agree with you. It's still worth a try.:)👍

On the PS3 the physics were fine but the input delay (from a DS3 anyway) was quite appalling. I got it recently via Playstation Plus and didn't see any sign of patches, how do I get those? Must admit I do still like the game but in spite of the input delay, which becomes part of the game, but moves it further and further from being realistic.

This looks good, I am all about good tracks and good cars and at least an OK physics/control set-up. If this is like Shift 2 without the lag, i'll be ok with that.

Seems like theere won't be a livery editor. I can live with the stock car colors, Rosso Monza, Blue Nart, Giallo Modena etc.. but let's say 16 F1 cars with the same livery... hmmm, that sound so "Polyphony style lameness".

Even more strange if we consider project Cars can easily be called project Liveries.
I see what you did there SMS.

Pardon me for asking but is there an official vehicle list yet? I'm pretty sure there is but I've seemed to have missed it.

I am going to buy it.
When I think back to Shift 1 I get a good feeling.
But I'm not going to buy it when it comes out immediately, because with a price of €60 in Holland I think it's a little expensive
