The 20 tracks issue is really bugging me

Correct simulation of all atmospheric phenomenons with accurately rendered skies, desintegration of clouds, rainstorms, marvelous sunsets and hazy mornings with light shining through, all those wet and half-wet spots will be very tough job. But who is able to do that if not PD?

Crytek

has really nobody thought that i might be 20 real life tracks ? and then a big bunch of fantasy tracks? after all 20 real life tracks is quite a lot!

In the WRC 4 PS2 game, i think there was 5 point to point courses with one 1 special stage per country, that was across 7 continents. That's 42 together including the special stages.Maybe the course count will be the same, less or more than i don't know.

I reckon most if not all the real circuits, rally stages and special stages with the popular fictional tracks will be in the game from the start.Later on i bet more fictional tracks will be in track packs & maybe with a few known/new real life tracks.

People have though about lot's of things, this included and discussed it at lenth. However the direct translation, which is all we have to go on, said 20 tracks and 60 layouts. It might have lost something in translation (hopefully), but that's all we have to go on.

If new tracks are going to appear as DLC then it needs to be real world tracks so people get axited about them, if they're fictional only the hardcore fans will buy them.

I personally find the city tracks quite boring (NY especially) although Seoul was quite good, extremely fast around tight corners and was very rewarding if you got it right.

every one is saying 20 tracks...

but it was writen on the page as more than 20 tracks...

so how many more than 20 track is a thing we have to wait and see

Remember there's probably going to be DLC too. I would say thats most likely to be track packs...

But if they are released as DLC, how are they going to incorporate them into GT Mode? There would have to be enough tracks from the get go so that people can get a rewarding GT Mode experience without having to get DLC

Either way only the hardcore players will buy it. DLC doesn't sell well in racing games.

I know I wouldn't be happy if you need to get a lot of DLC to get the complete experience... I think the whole DLC thing is rapidly moving towards basically paying more for a game.

I mean a satisfyingly large number of tracks but then DLC that is really cool (extremely desireable tracks, something really special) is cool by me.

But a handful of tracks and then what really should have been the rest of the included tracks bringing up the final price to $100 or so will be very agravating.

As painful as it is to say this, you need to get use to this. Especially since FFXIII costs $100, this is slowly becoming the norm. :nervous:

How? It was announced as there being 70 tracks?

Try reading this thread.

The leak said there will be 20+ courses making up 70+ tracks and 90% of everyone here laughed at the idea they would be releasing so few tracks.

Now it's been confirmed that instead of 20+ courses making up 60+tracks, it will be 20+ courses making up 70 tracks :yuck:

I believe 20+courses making up 60+ tracks does accurately describe 20tracks making up 70 course.

And yes that is pretty dissapointing. I smell DLC rippoff coming down the pipes...:indiff: if so it would give F2's car packs a run for their money ripoff wise.

Actually its 70 tracks and 20 photo mode locations

I don't see where it says that anywhere. And besides the amount of photomode locations is completely irrelevant to how many tracks there are.

The number of tracks from that leak that had everyone up in arms...... turned out to be true:guilty:

It is buried inside the TGS thread. I think only a few has noticed.

Be patient. Theres still 3 1/2 days left.

Still though... 20 tracks, 70 variations? Do you really believe that? Please...

You're.....you're actually still in denial? O_o

No. I'm patient. I'm a realist. 20 tracks with 70 variations is idiotic. Add a chicane just to call it as 'another track'? ...THINK THINK THINK! GT4 has more than 50! ...Count the tracks inside GT5P's ending credits, there's more than 25!

That's it. I'm done with this thread.

1. That figure was leaked from Gran Turismo .com

2. KY was quoted in an interview stating the leak was accurate

3. Now we are in TGS where that figure has been confirmed for the 3rd time.

And you're telling me to "THINK THINK THINK!"
