Senna has been reported as bringing fourteen million Euros to the team. They're already getting about forty from Maldonado and PDVSA, so they don't really need the extra income. Nevertheless, they chose to take it over someone like Adrian Sutil or Jaime Alguersuari - and comapred to Senna, what they lack in sponsorship, they more than make up for in actual talent.
I do indeed:Do you have an actual source?
As for the PDVSA deal, the details of that have been known for some time - $225 million over five years.Autosprint said Senna has amassed an impressive EUR 14 million in major Brazilian sponsorship, including OGX, an oil giant headed by billionaire Eike Batista.

Going by reports from Brazil, this must be the sixth time Senna has signed a contract with Williams.
Well that's almost certainly that for Rubinho. I doubt he'll drop down to HRT

It also means the end of the road for Rubinho in F1. I think it was still one year too late but he can be an interesting addition to Le Mans drivers line up if he chooses to consider this form of racing as his "next step".

"I don't want to specifically talk about individual drivers, but Adrian was in our plans. However, based on everything that was laid out, Bruno for me and the team was the best way forward."
Read: he doesn't go around glassing people.
Read: he brought the most money to the team, even if Senna thnks otherwise.
You just mad
Williams chief operations engineer Mark Gillan had this to say: "From our side we had an extensive driver evaluation programme with a handful of drivers, and we made the final decision based on raw pace, consistency, tyre management, technical feedback and mental capacity - and most importantly the potential impact they would have on the team," he said. "I think in all those areas it was very clear that Bruno has not had a lot of experience in single seater racing, but has consistently shown improvement and real talent."
as someone who grew up from about age 10 with the rubens/schumi pairing at ferrari, this is a pretty sad day T_T
Oh well, congrats to senna and hopefully he'll help williams shape up
