What about the dog though? As much as he was following orders should he be able to know the difference between a docile figure and someone resisting arrest?

I feel bad for the dog either way. I hope he doesn't lose his job over this. Actually serious as silly as that sounds.Police dogs respond to command. They are not individual thinkers.

How do arrest/incarceration rates affect death statistics? That their economic circumstances are worse? Sure. It doesn't explain why they're more likely to be arrested and incarcerated regardless of criminality though.

In other news, leaked documents show police knew far-right extremists were the real threat at protests, not “antifa”.

They don’t but I'm pretty sure their economic circumstances do. To be honest I'm not sure what point you're trying to make by bringing this up.How do arrest/incarceration rates affect death statistics?
This all started from your objection to who was killing Chicagoans, rather than whatThey don’t but I'm pretty sure their economic circumstances do. To be honest I'm not sure what point you're trying to make by bringing this up.
No, it didn't. My objection was about black people being more likely to be victims. This all started from your objection to who was killing Chicagoans, rather than what
Apparently a DOJ memo threatens to cut off federal funding to "anarchist jurisdictions" such as New York, Portland and Seattle.

Thank god he's still alive. The SLPD released the bodycam footage of the 13-year-old boy with Asperger's who was shot a few weeks ago. I'm not going to link the video since it shows a 13-year-old being shot, repeatedly, by police. But you can see if if you follow the link to the news story, which links to the SLPD's YouTube where the footage was released.

Apparently, the mother who called for crisis intervention said that her son might have a toy weapon on him, but didn't know for sure. The cops said they needed to treat it like it was a real gun and apparently they did so. The boy, Linden Cameron, was also apparently afraid of law enforcement since his grandfather had been killed back in January after an encounter with police (a shooting that appears justified), but I have to imagine that would be hard to explain to kid, let alone a kid with mental health issues.
In the video it shows Cameron walking down the sidewalk trying to get away from police. They tell him to stop and get on the ground and when he doesn't, one officer mag dumps in the boy's back and side. The boy then falls on the side walks, bleeding, and says "I don't feel so good, tell my mom I love her." The cameras shut off after that to protect the boy's privacy, but what we know is that he was handcuffed (because someone who just had an entire magazine put into them would be able to fight back...right).
The police chief and the mayor held a press conference yesterday are were, unsurprisingly, milly-mouthed about the whole thing. They called it a tragedy and an opportunity for learning. Yeah, opportunity for learning alright. Guess that's what we say when police use excessive force.
Seriously if the police thought Cameron was a threat, there was more than once during the incident they could've deployed a taser or even just tackled him. But nope, they immediately went for their service weapon.
I hope the cop that did this gets put through the wringer. I know he probably won't but he should be.
Hey, #bluelivesmatter and that kid could've shot them with the gun his mum already told them was a toy. What gets me is how hard she tried to stop this happening and yet the incident seemed to occur with shocking inevitability."I'm tired of giving chase. This will stop him running."
Listening to her talk, I got the sense that she knew how inevitable it was and she was doing her best to prevent it. The sad thing is that every word she said went in one ear and the only word that didn't go out the other was "gun."What gets me is how hard she tried to stop this happening and yet the incident seemed to occur with shocking inevitability.
I was thinking exactly that, so I will.Waiting for some idiot to say "where's the outrage?" because he's white.
Lots of people are dead. Now 2 people are dead.
Explain how he was allowed out of jail? Seeing his past record?Listening to her talk, I got the sense that she knew how inevitable it was and she was doing her best to prevent it. The sad thing is that every word she said went in one ear and the only word that didn't go out the other was "gun."

Come on, "All Lives Matter" crowd. Linden Cameron was white. He was just thirteen years old. He didn't have the easiest of times and his life wasn't of his own making, rather he was dealt a difficult hand. Where's the outrage?
Oh, I know, "All Lives Matter" is only useful as a rebuttal to "Black Lives Matter."
Lots of people are dead.
What?Explain how he was allowed out of jail? Seeing his past record?
Explain how he was able to get a weapon again?
Explain why there is no protests going on there yet again by BLM?
Where is Lebron condemning this?
Not the narrative !

We don't even know the name of the trigger-happy cop who let loose on the kid because SLCPD have closed ranks.

"Multiple investigations into the shooting — by the police department, the Salt Lake County DA's Office, and the city's Civilian Review Board — are ongoing."
Do we wait until the investigations are done or we throw him into the wringer right away?

Did you watch the video? The officer mag dumped into a 13-year-old's back and side. In what universe is that acceptable?
I didn't watch it and I never said that it's acceptable.
Kyle seems to have no shortage of YouTube lawyers willing to step up and plead his case.
Why should he remain anonymous? If the positions were reversed and someone shot a cop they'd release his name as soon as he was arrested, not wait until after the trial. Thanks for the ridiculous accusation though. Why do you want to know, good ol' doxing?
