Map sometimes lacks.

Overall it's kinda empty at the moment because well Gold is the only people running around, so hoping it will fill in soon.
I noticed how some places and landmarks from the first game have been removed, which may partly be a cost of the overall improvement in world detail, but I also get the impression that Ivory Tower intends to fill in some spots on the map with new events and attractions in the future, as the game develops. Why else would they delete some of the airports for a sequel that has now introduced flyable aircraft?

Well I can't play The Crew 2, I've tried loading it after pre-loading it through Steam and not only did I then have to wait for it to re-download all 23.3gb again but uPlay is asking me for a CD Key which I don't have. I've just put in a complaint to Ubisoft, if it's not fixed today I'll be getting a refund. Very disspointed with how many big compaines are releasing games in a broken or unplayable state. I had to get a refund for FIFA 18 a few months ago because in the loading screens where you do warm up drills the game never let me continue to the actual match like it should have.

Googling the issue and it's not just me this is affecting, there's a few people who can't play the game who purchased it with Steam. The accounts are linked, it just won't recognise the game in the uPlay library.

It's more than just a few, it seems to be just about everyone who bought via Steam. I find it to be hilarious that they'd screw this up, even though it's effecting me too. :P

I'm not familiar with the landmarks from the first game, but I noticed that TC2 doesn't have Willis Tower in Chicago and One World Trade Center in New York. There's a taller than average building in Lower Manhattan but it's not the WTC. Disappointing to leave out major landmarks like these.

So as you go through the icon levels and use them for perks. it appears that once you get to 400 ish you will have most if not all perks maxed out with some exceptions.

I wonder how you will gain perks after the others that have 0/25 on all of them if you will gain them back into normal gameplay?

Also will anyone be on PS4? Just need like 2 trophies (I think) and then the rest is all gameplay.

Cool that achievements work on Steam now! It should've been that way for the first game.

Also, unintended post number...

Boat skills suck.
Some boats don't turn very good and it just plain suck.

Also had an issue where I lost a boat race due to I sunk and then a boat landed on me and couldn't turn, missed a checkpoint.

I'm having a hard time getting used to the plane controls

The aerobatics events are easy, but I tried my first air race last night and hate those planes (well, they are good for fast distance flight, but certainly not for tight turns). I ended up with 10 penalty seconds - although that was still actually enough to win.

The Air Races are tricky. You really need to memorize the course. The one in Las Vegas is a pain for me. I'm crashing in to buildings all the time.. but it's a challenge and I like it.

An 8 on gamespot! Impressive, but polygon has the best review and analogy.

Amazing considering the crew 1 (pre wildrun) recieved a 5 on gamespot.

I have figured out that the New York Hyper car is best in crew since only one person needs to get in the Top 3.
Just a thought on that.

(Also need a PS4 person to do at lease 1 trophy and maybe do the 2nd one)

So how do you receive your preorder bonus cars like the Merc C63 Touring Car etc?

On the PS4 mine showed up automatically in my vehicle list on the second day of the early start (they had some technical issues with the pre-order bonuses on the first day).

My brother pre-ordered the game and got it 3 days early, which meant that I could have a go early as well. Call me crazy but in my first gameplay alone, I did a race in LA, drove to Vegas, did another race and then drove to New York for the Motor Trend Classic in an MX-5. The journey from Vegas to New York was 60 miles or about 92 KM in my language:lol: In total I must've covered 90 miles, but here's my logic - why have an open world game like this one and not drive through it? The Crew 2 is brilliant and puts Need For Speed to shame, due to all these things: aircraft, speedboats, racecars, better physics, bigger map, more events, better music and an atmosphere which is way more fun. I haven't been this happy with a game since GT Sport released.

So I’ve been wanting this game for awhile now but I have a question...

I have internet st home but I do t have PS plus. Do I need that to play? Or can I just play by myself online.

When I first played the beta it was mostly just The Crew but with a slightly different premise, and boats/planes. But the more I play, the more subtle changes that come up. The bikes have a slight delay when changing direction now which makes a bit more sense, the cities are so open now with all sorts of alleyways and car parks to thunder and crash through. Though it would be nice if we got decorate the home a bit, or got some differently designed ones because you don't have to exactly be an interior designer to point out the flaws. But no game gets it right in every regard, and it's a lot of fun. The new content has a lot more variety than the first game, including some more interesting cars like the Lancias and Ferrari 365. It shows that the game is going in a good direction.

I believe you need PS+, As it's an online required game it'll need PS+

Edit: Just did a bit of an experiment on the first Hyper Car event.

Intentionally put Tio in last by 10 seconds right away at the start.
Went flawless.
Tio ended up in first.
Explain that?

No, you don't need PS Plus. I guess you need it to do stuff in a crew -- I'm not sure, I haven't signed up yet -- but you can free roam with other people on the map without it, and do races by yourself.

So since the full game is out now will the decal unloader be live soon? Is it even such a thing? When you navigating through the shapes and numbers pages it has a page that says local and im guessing that's where your own decals would be at. I'm just guessing.

What are the black map icons with a yellow star in the middle, and are they tied to campaign progression ? I drove up to one called 'Ground Drift', but all I saw there was a record by another player. Shouldn't I be able to trigger some event when approaching these?

If you group a certain number of shapes you can store that group there (local).

May have been mentioned but can someone explain why snow is on the ground in southern areas of the map? For example I’m currently driving in snow in Miami lol

I'm guessing their weather system can only function map wide? Aside from the permanently covered mountain areas.

I've only seen snow once, during beta. And the way it happened seemed almost like a bug, it was just suddenly there after exiting photo mode.

One thing you have to appreciate about this is the sheer amount of easter eggs Ubi and IT have thrown in all around the place. The best part of this being that, aside from the obvious one involving beating the Offroad branch, you actually have to go looking for them and make the connection yourself, rather than have it delivered to you through annoying character VO. Or just look up a YouTube video and never see the map the same way again.

That said, I'm disappointed that I've yet to come across any kind of reference to the one thing Ubisoft absolutely loves to throw references to, which gets even more frustrating when you consider just what that is.

And yes, I've checked - the game will let you do barrel rolls in the helicopter. Not just backflips or loops or whatever - actual barrel rolls. That should tell you pretty much all you need to know. On the plus side, it makes landing your car on rooftops that slight bit easier. Which takes the sense of pride and accomplishment out of it. God damn it.

So I have to ask.
Those who have been playing for a bit or a lot.

AI rubberbanding?
Should it be changed or is it perfectly fine as is?

Just out of curiosity, what are the 4 DLC cars and how/when do you receive them? Can't see either the Alfa Romeo Giulia or the Ferrari FXX in the vehicle roster when you open the main menu.
