One major geographical area is always going to get the short end of the stick, it's impossible not to. Sony will obviously want Japan to get a decent time so 6pm local is the only real area they can go for. Anything earlier and it'll be too early in Japan, anything later and it's too late locally. On the other hand MS aim for US and Europe as they're their biggest markets.
