The Epic GT6 Thread (No Whining or Crying)

The menus look incredible. Anyone else think that it looks really snazzy?

Gran Turismo needs to be fun again. People are saying that GT is trying a bit too hard o be a true to life simulator, and although it's always nice to have a kick butt physics engine, they should not forget that they are making a game with this engine. Games are supposed to be thrilling. Maybe the reason why I loved GT3 and older sequels was because it was so addicting and mindlessly fun. Throwing your car around bends with the great sense of speed, while being chased by hungry Skylines, RX-7s, Vipers, and Corvettes gave me an adrenaline rush. Even though they were quite stupid drivers, they were fast.

In GT5, I didn't feel the excitement in the A-Spec mode. It's as if all the fun were to be sucked in by a vaccum. The AI was slow, the sense of speed was gone, and the events weren't good enough. Another reason why I found GT3 to be so enjoyable was the sheer amounts of challenging events to enter. GT5 had some of those events, but the fast and furious vibe was gone, and the rush was no more. Even though I found GT5 to be quite addicting, it just wasn't the same.

GT6 needs to evolve in some shape, form, or matter. Make the career mode great as possible, while balancing with the new realistic factor. Bump up the AI, and make them smart AND fast. Bring back old, defining elements, while introducing brand spanking new features to further evolve gameplay. New cars, tracks, and graphics engine may be nice, but what is it without an actual game? :)

Cannot agree more (GT2)

More than the current menus, what I liked the most is that the interface had quite a big priority in yesterday's presentation. Seems like this time they are getting it right.

Why do people instantly think any customization whatsoever will instantly turn the entire online landscape into a porno?

Especially when Encyclopedia was joking, as he clarified multiple times.

That is exactly the reason why I don't understand why people want to design there own cars.
You know it's going to be terrible 👎

Because unfortunately that's the case when the teen audience get into the game, for sure more enthusiats players will try to recreate real race cars liveries, but the most will turn in something awful :indiff::indiff:

I'm not much into customizing liveries anyway. If I could download someone else's livery that I like (and if they're willing to let others download it), I'm fine with that. More tuning options is what we need.

Also, a demo coming out in July! I don't like buying prologues so this is a great move.

If you really think people will paint p**** all over the place you have an homophobic issue.

Most? That's an awfully big claim.

Perhaps a minor thing to some, but did anyone else notice how the driver's grasp of the wheel was finally redone? No more awkward holding like he has talons instead of fingers or
he's afraid of contracting a disease.

I have never noticed that.

Yeah, I really like what I'm seeing, specifically the loading screens. They finally understand that you're going to be looking at this screen for dozens of hours throughout the lifetime of the game, it's time to make it look good. I just hope they don't make the same mistake of looping the same song within certain screens.

I'm very excited that GT6 is coming to the PS3, as that means I will be able to have the opportunity of buying and playing it (if you think I'll have the funds to drop on a new PS4...think again).

I was disappointed in GT5 and after borrowing it from a friend for a few days I didn't buy it and thus have been out of the original reason I joined these forums, to talk about GT, for a pretty long time now. But GT6 looks incredible (I LOVE that one of the first things released was an in-game lap instead of all cinematic stuff...and it looked fantastic (menus included)). I'm optimistic that PD will have turned it around for GT6 and that I'll have a GT game I can enjoy playing again.

I can't wait to try the GT6 demo or for E3. I must know what else Kaz is willing to share with us.

I'm even more excited due to the tracks and cars confirmed already. I just hope the other premium converted standards include a few of my favorite standards in GT5 such as the Mazda 3, Jaguar XFR, 1997 Toyota Supra RZ, & Shelby GT350.R.
