Lucky man Scaff, imagine the cloud wasn't there. :scared:
It took me a few minutes to register that I could do it (thank you PS+) at which point I was just open mouthed and not a happy camper at all.

In the end all I lost was the race above.

So in practice at Snetterton 200 I bumped tyres with another car and this happened...

On the first one the car moves funny but the fact the car lifts up like this if the wheels touched seems perfectly normal to me. In French we call it the tyre gearing effect, still don't know how you call it in English ! :D

Here's a brand new bug causing a crash on PS4. BTW I use the disc version.

New online Time Trial is open and I still can't register a time :-(
Edit: my time has registered BUT it took a loooooooooong time.

So I thought I would set up the car anyway. I go to My Garage and Select the Mercedes 190E Evo2 DTM - Instant Crash.

Re-Start game, send error report and return to garage. The car I selected was highlighted so I select go to Edit Current Setup - Instant crash. Send Error Report, Restart PS4 and restart game, go my garage and select another Merc 190E, instant crash. It did not matter whether I selected a car or used the pre-selected car the game would instantly crash on the next selection.

Hopefully you get the idea. After 7 attempts to edit this car I have given up. The game has been relatively crash free for a while now and I even ran it in the 190E TT so the car is not corrupted and I have driven it online previously BUT I have never done the above and tried to edit it in My Garage.

I would like to add I have NEVER had a PS game crash as often as this one. And that is not including all the freezes I have had as well :-(

The above here has fixed itself.

I was doing a shortened 24hr (2hr real time) race at Le Mans and at 1hr 2 min the game crashed. After the restart and error reporting I can now select the 190E and edit its tune.

I have also re-run the 24hr race and it didn't crash this time.

There is something very screwy with this game :-(

Maybe they start on wets then. The AI isn't affected by overheat, or really slightly.
No. They don't slide around in the dry. I'm told this is a known bug that everyone's praying will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I've noticed something a bit annoying with single player race weekends and career events. If I skip to the end of a session after getting comfortable with the track and/or posting the fastest time, the session results shows that several drivers in the field magically found another 3-4 seconds to shave off their lap times. Those times are never posted again, not even close.

So in a practice session for example, it goes like this:
  1. I run several laps and post a time easily 1-2 seconds ahead of everyone else.
  2. I skip ahead to the end of the session, confident that nobody else is going to beat me because I'm so 1337.
  3. As I skip ahead, the session results come up and I see that my time which once had me in P1 now has me in P8. The new fastest time is another 2-3 seconds ahead of my best time.
  4. Throughout the rest of the event, including qualifying, nobody ever gets near that kind of time again. Nobody is even able to match my time from that session.
  5. ???
  6. 10/10

Hit what seemed to be an invisible wall on the pit straight which made me loose FFB and my tire and brake temps went from hot to cold in an instant . Getting slightly peed off with it happening half way through a 100% race .
yes, had it too in barcelona, during the mitsubishi race.

Not sure if someone else has had this but :

Half way through I handed control to bob and he proceeded to pit every damn lap until I turned it off . I watched him and he hit nothing . What a tool

Was it raining? Bob did that with me once and the reason was I had set my pitstop strategy to fit soft tyres, so they were fitting those every time he pitted in the rain. I had to wait till he pitted, then edit the pit strategy to fit wet tyres. After that Bob went happily on his way.

No rain , however I did have softs on and when I came in to pit I selected softs again then swap driver .

Soft Steering Dampening on the Advance Controler Settings is allways turn on when you start the game even if you turn it off last time you've played.

audio glitch:
there's been more than one occasion where my engine audio has dropped drastically in volume and all I can really hear are my downshifts. not limited to just one car, the latest was the Lotus 78. restarting race didn't fix it, had to exit race completely.

Project Cartwheels!, Annoyingly this was the 5th time in just tonight's play session alone. All at Spa. Twice with the F/A, Twice with the BMW GT4 at the outside kerbs at Eu Rouge and once more with the Ginetta GT3 at the Bus Stop.

This was the only one that happened with no initial contact with something. All the others happened over or after contact with kerbs.

Unrelated but, during the incident in the video. There was another car just a few car lengths ahead of me that jumped the start and i assume was disqualified, because they pulled off into the pits and never rejoined. Yet he/she doesn't feature at all in my replay. The accident they caused jumping the start does... but it looks like the fields just been hit by an invisible force.

Looks similar to the bug I had at Le Mans this weekend, and once at La Source too. These bugs really must be top priority on SMS' list because they are random and completely kill the game.

Indeed. On a side note. I'm so SO SOOO glad these new consoles have the ability to go back and record gameplay AND post it to youtube. I'd hate to imagine what people would think of me if i just posted "I keep hitting these that aren't there!"

Sure you did brutha... sure ya did.

I've noticed a strange box on the floor surrounding the Lotus 78. just a short distance around the outside of the car you can see a faint outline of a square on the floor. it follows the car at all times. it can be seen in the replays and in external viewpoints. it's not present on other cars.

I attempted to grab some footage but the PS4 capture gallery is bad resolution and it can't really be seen too well. in game it's noticeable. it's an even distance around the car and can most clearly be seen just in front of the front wing and also at the rear. like the car is pushing a dark line a couple of feet ahead of it.

can someone take a look when they have time and tell me I haven't gone mad? just loaded up the Procar and there was no box, so might just be this Lotus.

So in practice at Snetterton 200 I bumped tyres with another car and this happened...

...and then cars started stopping all around the track, some in the pit lane, some on the grass, some mid corner....

....and then I finished the race, it errored out and I got this when I restarted.

Thankfully a quick overwrite from the cloud storage fixed it.

When my game crashed, that's the exact message I got. Not being a ps+ member, you can imagine my anger at the time lol. I back up to my external drive each time I exit the game now lol.

I also had a similar bug to your AI parking one. I did a 5 lap race at Sarthe, multi class GT, using the group 5 Capri. I was running 5th (was fighting hard with gt3 cars, but not able to keep up with the leading Zonda R, who was miles ahead), when on lap 3, AI cars started hitting the brakes in the middle of the mulsanne straight, one of them right in front of me when I was doing 280kph!

Luckily I avoided him, but I noticed the other cars ahead slowed at random too. They didn't do it all at the same time either. First the guy right in front did (first that I noticed anyway), and then I noticed a few cars dropping off the back of me, then I caught up with cars ahead very easily. They didn't completely stop like in yours, but slowed down to 80kph, like they had a pit limiter on. One even did it for a while, then sped back up as I was catching him (I was in 3rd at the time), then a lap later he did it again and stayed at 80, handing 2nd to me.

I had an engine issue near the end of lap 4, (from running too much boost in quali, thinking it'd let me turn it down for the race, but it just went straight to grid) so I pitted, and noticed a few AI cars in the pits, one of them left the pits in front of me, and never went over 80 after he got back on track lol.

I was 30 seconds behind the leading Zonda when I pitted, and 40 seconds ahead of the next car, and half way around the last lap I noticed I was bearing down on the Zonda, so he was the last car to give up on the race lol. I caught up to a massive pack of AIs on the last lap while leading, and they were overtaking each other and all running in a big pack at around 80 lol, so I carefully lapped them and finished the race. It was the strangest thing I've seen in a long time lol.

Also had an odd collision in practice. Very lightly tapped the rear of a car I was following, and my car stopped on the spot, with a strange bounce into the air, and my tyres and brakes went dead cold at the same time lol.

I too have almost had this, online lobby practice session, went from around 100kph to 20ish kph, tires and brakes went into a freeze mode,

Also another incident in an online race where we were racing reasonably hard on a dry track, incredible battle between 3 cars, but it was getting close and a bit touchy, nothing malicious just good hard racing, eventually something had to break and it involved myself getting touched in the rear and spun across the nose of the car that touched me, resulted in the pair of us going across the paved run off all the way to the wall, again my tires and brakes went frozen,

Given in not the only experiencing it I'm actually ok with it, we've seen it time and time again in actual races, just not so over dramatised, just means we gotta be a little more careful around others which is a good thing,

first race of the day, Lotus 78, Le Mans, quick race:
started the race with an audio problem; engine noise very low, when I lifted off it was loud again, then just as I got to the very first straight the PS4 crashed completely to the error report screen.

usually it's a few hours before glitches appear...

Trying to do the 3hours of Watkins Glen in career mode (the endurance championship) and each time I go to start the race it says it has 1hr 54mins to go?!!

I definitely definitely have it set to 100% distance as well.

Sometimes it will say 1hr 55 so seems to be random? Anyone else have this issue?

PS4 .
Wheel T300 RS Trustmaster .
When I'm in the garage and i want to take a picture from a car ,normally you can rotate the view with L2 or R2 but in my case it is not working .

I also get that in my endurance races. It shows the wrong time remaining in the top right, but when I start the race the correct time starts counting down in the bottom left.

I get this with the ds4 too. Seems to happen at random. Sometimes when I go into the photo mode during a race it won't let me rotate the camera or zoom in and out with the triggers. When it happens I go out of the photo mode and try again later and usually it'll work.

There's a pretty severe issue at Oulton Park in the Super Karts.

If the AI karts take too much curb in Turn 1, they crash/spin/flip causing major damage to their karts. There is debris there the remainder of the race. It makes winning there very easy if you can simply navigate through there without getting dinged by them because eventually every other car in the race will sustain damage there and be off the pace even more than normal.

I had this a few times..and mostly on the open wheelers..You don't need to come out of it just change the camera view (square) to chase cam and it should let you. 👍

I'll give that a try next time, cheers. It's not a big deal of course, when last night I had two crashes in a two hour play session :scared:

I've had a frustrating one tonight, it doesn't save your pit strategy choice.. So you set it all up before the race and you get to the pits and it has the wrong pit selection, meaning you have to change it quickly.. This is annoying on circuits where you're in the first pit box, especially Donington where you're in the pit box withint 2 seconds of entering the pit lane, giving you no time to fix it.

I've tried all sorts, it shows as being saved while in the menu and then in the race it gives you the wrong setting.

I think I experienced something of a bug today. I just signed a contract with an LMP 3 team for season 3. First race at Road America - I had a comfortable lead over the field throughout the practice session (about 3 sec. to 2nd place) until at the very end where someone posted a flipping 01.33! I was lapping in 02.05 - 06 range, the rest of the field 02.10 or slower. There is no logic to explain that 32 second gap. Anyone else experienced something similar?
