Wow.... one whole fraudulent vote. That's really gonna throw a wrench in things...
You must have missed the 3rd party part...
I'm not going to scoure the webs looking for 50 similar stories to please anyone cause, one case doesn't mean anything...
Like cockroaches and ants, where there is one, there are more. ;)
Oh and as Danoff pointed out, the cat wouldn't have been able to vote in person, it doesn't have a state ID.
Another reason in person voting should be the norm, obviously with exceptions...

So then why did you bring it up in the first place? Based on your other posts I'm gonna say you're on the side that voter fraud is a rampant threat to our elections?

What?

No, Danoff did not point that out. This absolutely in no way supports the conclusion that "in person voting should be the norm, obviously with exceptions". This is a registration application. It would not have succeeded in registration for lots of reasons, one of which is that the cat is not a person. This was not a ballot. No one could cast a vote with what the "cat" received.

I dunno ... cats can be pretty devious.

To put a finer point on this, it has nothing to do with in-person or not in-person voting. Sending out registration applications by mail would happen regardless, even if in-person was required.

I've never received one...

And you did.
The rest of the sentence is my addition.
Presumably if they tried to register their cat, it would not have worked.
And yes @DesertPenguin I am.

Well then it's time for you to get informed, because voter fraud is not a big issue in the grand scheme of things. It won't account for a substantial amount of votes to the point of affecting anything.

A 3rd party company sending a voter registration application to a dead cat(let's not mention dead people)is doing nothing but clogging the system with crap while real people who are alive have to jump through a million hoops to vote.
I know @Danoff remembers me talking about how much crap I had to go through(I am registered again...), but a dead cat gets a pre filled out application and I have to drive all over GA to properly registere? Do you not see a problem?
The system can kiss my 🤬.

Third-party groups are the problem here. Voting by mail does not cause fraud. Like I've pointed out, Utah has done vote by mail for 12 years and there's no indication of fraudulent activity and Democrats certainly don't win much in the state, so it's not like it's even skewing the results. Voting by mail should be the norm across the country as it allows all registered voters to have a chance to vote. Trying to make everyone vote on one day is stupid and prevents people from voting due to work or other obligations. Plus, you see in some cities where people wait for hours to vote, most people ain't got time for that.

Yea that's a pain, but it's not gonna change the election. Might as well vent that energy somewhere else.

It's an application. Not a successful registration. I do remember you having some trouble registering because of your address (in a state that doesn't widely use mail-in ballots), but this is not a registered cat. This is a cat that got a mailer. I don't know what it would have taken for them to actually register this cat (in any state, after having gotten a mailer) but I suspect that it would be impossible to do, even with the 3rd party mailer, in any state.

Fraud, deception, theft and other crimes have been endemic to the US political process since probably the beginning, I have been there, seen that up close and personally when I served as precinct chairman and delegate to the county and state conventions. I am quite confident it will continue and get worse.

I see there was no point in politely asking you to stop.

To be fair he has the right to post whatever he wants(within the AUP) and you really don't have the right to tell him not to.
This site has moderators for a reason, don't like what he posts? Report it and/or ignore him.
Simples!

Look who's new to the party. I'm not explaining the history of Dotini.

His posts don't bother me, it's him. I have a problem with the person behind the posts. It's the fact that I brought this up before and he politely responded, then continued to make posts like this. It's nothing more than trolling but he's smart enough to skate the edge of the AUP so as to never have a reportable post. All the right people know this. He's a pain in the ass but he's not breaking any rules and he knows it

So put him on ignore then. Problem solved.

If that's how the world solved it's problems we'd be blind to reality. No thanks. Better to see all sides of something even if you don't like it. And speaking to sides, he doesn't have to word his posts the way he does. He could be a more productive member of these boards if he tried.

I'm not new here and I know his posting style...
I forgot which side of all these political discussions you're on. Nevermind.

I could say the same for someone who's text is orange...but I've let it go even though he'll occasionally bring it bring it back up...

I don't know what my political affiliation has to do with anything...but Dot and pretty much everyone here posts somethings I agree with, some I don't and some that piss me off...
Welcome to the internet.

I actually did kinda like you, now I'm starting to question it.

You could just say TexRex, unless you're scared he might defeat you with facts

I don't care if you like me or not. I don't like you. Ever since your discussion about you and your dad not wearing masks. Good day sir.

I don't know what my political affiliation has to do with anything
Are you oblivious to the current world climate around you? Political affiliation has never held more importance (in my lifetime of 32 years) than it does right now.

You're discussing Dotini. That is where Ryzno's political colours have nothing to do with.
They're on the same side politically so of course he's gonna defend Dotini. Other people might not have done that. That's all there is to it.
