Had another attempt the other day. Still struggling with consistent fast laps so gave the 1 stopper a try with the BRZ on RMs. Only averaging 2:00, fastest was a 1:58 but that was a rarity. Tyre wear was fine for the whole stint but fuel was an issue, had to run a few laps on FM 3 & 4 to make it to lap 15. Was still using AT, I suspect that is the issue and won't be solved until I get the hang of MT.

Didn't get the win but I think this strategy is still going to be the best for me. Just need to find a second or so per lap, whilst saving a bit of fuel. Simple.

Not sure if anything has changed with 1.20 or whether I woke up as a better driver today, but managed to win it by a lap with the RX-vision. 31 laps, 1:01:53, 2 stops at 11 & 21, RM, TC 1. Most laps in the 1.56s. Best I could do before today was 5th place - around 50 secs slower than this run (doing some 1.56 laps, but most in the 1.58/59s)

Again, not sure if anything has changed with 1.20 but the tyre wear felt different. Very consistent lap times, with record laps just before pitting

Just did a 31 lap race, i used the RX-Vision too. FL 1.56.1 TC 1
Made it a one stop on RM, could keep good pace for 15 rounds. Be aware though, you will be on the limit of tyre life. Tyres where completely gone in 2nd sector on lap 31, making 31st lap a 2.57s.😅 Had about 10s left on timer after 30 laps.

Something definitely changed with this one. After months of struggles even getting under 2 min laps, I was able to run 1:57/1:58 all hour long.

Normal difficulty. Battled with the Merc and Supra for the first stint. Pitted on lap 10 as suggested even with fuel left. Leaders all followed me in but I could do the shorter stop. Came out just behind some 1-stoppers, the Merc and Supra got stuck behind and disappered from the top 10.

Back in the lead before stop 2 on lap 20. Had a decent buffer of 10-12s over the chasers, led by the BMW. Somehow they had the greatest pitstop in history and came out a few seconds ahead! Slower through traffic though so I was able to catch back up, pass them and a Lambo to retake the outright lead with 10 mins left.

Still had reasonable pace at the end and thought that was it, but no. NSX came like a rocket ship to close a 5 second gap in the last 2 laps. Major panic, I was weaving like a madman to hold on. They tried a move at the hairpin on lap 30 and there was no way in hell that was going to happen.

Punted them out onto the grass with no hesitation and took a glorious victory.

That's all the fun missions done - just some eco and drifting nonsense left to gold.

I just gave it a try with the AM Vantage, I think I did 1:00:20 with it some months ago. I did 1:00:15, so it wasn't a huge difference for me. Maybe the specific car you used had a BoP change?

Okay, the RX-Vision is now super fast for this race. My lap times were faster than the Vantage AND it uses considerably less fuel, so you save a lot of time at the pit stops too (I did 2 stops RM, stopping at the end of laps 10 and 20, and filling to 57% and 63%). Net effect is I went through 30 laps in 59:46, 34 seconds quicker than my fastest time pre 1.20.

Wow! Thank you for this tip!

I worked on this for hours previously and never beat it, but tonight with the RX-Vision GT3 I beat it on my first try. Most of my laps were in the 1:56-1:58 range, significantly faster than my attempts with other cars. I used FM1, RM, 2 stops. I did have to refuel to a higher percentage than you did (75% and 80%). I won with a time of 1:00:21, and I won by about 5 seconds over the Huracan.

Sorry, I should have mentioned, from looking at the power curve I decided to shift at half the red bar. I tried some laps with 3/4 instead, and it didn't seem to help the lap times, so I stuck with half.

Some progress for me. Like you, I choose the RX-Vision, 2 stops on medium, lap 10 and 20 pitting. Laptimes averaging at 1:58.xxx with two bad ones at 2:00.xxx and a personal best at 1:57.1xx. This got me a 6th place, which could have been at least 5th. Nice fight with a Merc in the end. Race winning time was 1:00:15.934. Gallo in an NSX (3rd) set the overall fastest time in 1:55.949 on lap 29. Was my second attempt.

Do you drive with the braking zone markers on? One thing about this track is some of the braking zones can make you brake far too early, you can brake something like 1/3rd to 1/2 way into some of them and still hit the apex.

Yes, I did. Good advice! Race included the usual dive attack on me into first corner and one 360° coming out of last turn, while getting right rear onto the gras. So there is still room to improve.

I think the two main corners where the braking zones make you brake far too early are corners 5 and 14. It should be clear enough which one is 5, the one I mean by 14 is where there are 3 corners after that one before the finish line. You can probably gain 0.5 to 1 second per lap from braking later into those corners. That was a major reason why I couldn't win the race for my first few attempts.

Won Maggiore in the Hyundai with a two pit strategy on FM 2. Very easy car to drive with TC1. Pitted on Lap 11 RM and full tank, Lap 22 RM with 9 laps of fuel. This guaranteed good tires to the end. Three track limit penalties in the esses but lap traffic helped out by slowing the onslaught of the NSX at the end.

Turn 1, stay to the right and let the divebomber fly through and go into the grass. You can get by him as he tries to re-enter, just sideswipe him to keep him in the grass.

Lap times 1:57 - 1:58
Hard Difficulty

i drive with braking zones on, just to have additional stationary markers to consider, but there are several places on this track where they are just flat out wrong, at least with the line i'm taking.

but really so much of winning this race is about luck -- sometimes the fastest opponent gets stuck behind a slow car its lapping for an extended period, and sometimes it flies right past. it's kind of a bummer that an hour-long endurance race basically comes down to how dumb the AI feels like being.

Finally managed to grab the victory in my 4th attempt. The difference to Beauvois was 11 seconds in the end but during the race I managed to get a 27 second-difference from him. In the end I was just managing my pace, without taking too many risks. Lap times were around 1:57/58 average. Racing difficulty was hard but I honestly think it doesn't really matter or makes a difference in these missions.

AI behaviour varies from race to race, so in some you might have an AI doing 1:55 laps whereas in other tries it might be doing 1:57. I guess you have to try until you get a "softer" AI running through the course, something which also allowed me to get the victory in Tsukuba, for instance.

The Porsche RSR is wonderful in terms of tyre management and fuel efficiency. I did a one stop race with mediums (pitted at lap 15), which is perfectly possible to do. Never had to change fuel mapping as well. After 3 attempts with other strategies (two stops with mediums, one stop with hard) I realized one stop with mediums was perfectly possible with this car and the only way to get a comfortable victory. Not sure if update 1.20 had some influence in this because at lap 15 I was still doing great laps and didn't feel any troubles with tyre grip.

I wish missions were repeatable with cash prizes

While it wouldn’t be efficient for money making…the 1 hr missions were some of the most enjoyable single player races and it would be nice if we could just get the 500k for 1st.

I want to replay these just don’t want to do it for a 4 star roulette ticket only to win 10k lol

I'll give it a try

Finally beat this today. Used the RX-Vision GT3.

On my first try this morning I managed 2nd, about 5 seconds behind V. Gallo. I made a few errors and had 3-4 track limit penalties, so I knew it was possible.

2nd try I finished about 5 seconds ahead of V. Gallo. The key was coming out ahead of him on the 2nd pit stop.

Most laps were 1:57.5-1:58, with a few slower and a few faster. My fastest lap was a 1:56.6.

Keep practicing!

At long, long last I finally beat this sodding race!

The poster above me is correct - the RX-Vision GT3 is currently very fast, but having tried with that for a couple of weeks I ultimately won by returning to the Porsche RSR, which may be a hair slower currently and a tiny bit thirstier with the fuel, but it's such a smooth drive once you're comfortable with it.

Ran two stops, mediums - I tried many time with a single stop on hards but the drive is so much easier with the yellows. I pitted after lap 21 in 1st (having taken the lead on lap 6 - not often I've managed that!) and filled up to 11 laps' worth of fuel. I then pitted with 19 minutes remaining on the clock and filled up to 9.5 laps's worth, although actually that did leave me a little short and I had to fuel save a bit in the final quarter with some short shifting and fuel mix 2/3 for a bit.

I finished 13 seconds ahead of 2nd place. In my first stint I was getting nearly all 1.57s with a couple of 1.56s, the second stint was mainly 1.57s with some 1.58s and the last stint, throughout which I was ******** myself and terrified and cocking up, I was doing 1.58s and 1.59s.

Finally I can move on from this race!

Is this mission race bugged on easy mode?
Probaby harder than Hard difficulty though, I won on hard difficulty, deffo not right when lower levels of difficulty are harder lol. When I took out the rsr it kept up no problem lapping in the 1:57's. Come the 2nd stop I was in the lead and the ai just not as quick.

thanks i think it is harder on easy.
I have just won te race on HARD,
with AMG vehicle.
I also half spun on 5th lap at last corner, touching the rear right on grass and lost 7 secs. also got 1 sec penalty.
but managed to win 2 secs ahead.
I did 1.57 average per lap but still hard to keep up.
If there were no backmarkers which slowed the cars in front of me, maybe I couldn't win :)
So thanks for the backmarkers and the cars who made late pitstops. they slowed the first 3 cars :)))
But if i hafnt half spın i could be more relaxed to win.

I finally won this race, after a break for 2 weeks i hit it up once more, in the porsche and won it first attempt!
Race medium pit on the end of 10 en 20. It felt like it was easier than before....

Well I’m pissed off.
grabbed the RX-Vision and off I went, regularly putting in 56/57’ laps with fastest of 55.6. RM tyres and FM1. Couple of mistakes, but nothing more than a second or two lost.

Fraga decides to pit of lap 30 however, he was 8 seconds ahead of me and wins by 2 seconds with a total time of 1 hour 11 seconds. Frikkin gutted 😭

Edited to add…
while my head was still bothered by the above, I figured I may as well give the RSR a quick try and it may suit me better overall. Bullied my way to 2nd place after 2 laps and 1st place while going through the 3rd lap. Ok that’s only 3 laps, but shows enough for me to leave it for another day and go through it with the RSR 👍🏻

i was only at first place for the last max 6 laps or something... you will make it!

Hello....
I won last night with the RX vision.....
I had tried the RSR before dinner, but it slides too much for me, and I ended up going out on the 15th lap....
after dinner, I tried the Mazda...it also slides with understeer but less than the Porsche I find.....

it was a test run, but as I was keeping up with the pace, I said to myself: "why not".....🤔
I think I found the right race with also a Mazda in the lead and the Mercedes following wisely....

pit end of the 10th and end of the 20th lap.....
but it consumes a little more than indicated...at the 10th, I put for 11 laps thinking to shorten the next refueling, but I arrived just at the 20th.....and there too, I put for 11 laps and I finished almost dry....
if I had gone a little bit faster and therefore obliged to do a 31st lap, I would not have been able to.....

and reducing the consumption was hardly possible since I had only 4 seconds of advance.... for my 2nd driver, I will have to learn to drive while consuming a little less....

my lap times : not very fast...between 1'58" and 1'59".....the fastest in 1'57.5..... conso map1 all the way.....

here I am, only these last 3 "rifts" to have in GOLD.....
I'll try a little bit more but I think it's a waste of time.....😡
me also have the Schleiffe in "expé circuit" and that's much more exciting.....😂
