Really, I'd care to prove otherwise:

There are certainly many, many more to prove your theory completely absurd....

I suspect the ugliness of the various MarCos products was down to the Mar part, Jem Marsh. Because the Cos part, Frank Costin, also produced the lovely Costin-Nathan:

Which is, y'know, the '60s definition of British Carporn.

Pretty...sexy, that is.

I have to agree, as the Minijem was a rebadged Marcos Mini Marcos GT, if I can recall.

YSSMAN FTW.

There's another.

land sea air: Part of me likes the back of the newest Chairman limo. But then I see the rest of it, and realize that I'm driving the same car, only prettier.

OT but it's my thread so I'll do what I want :dopey:

I've always wanted to drive a very late (96 or 97 I think only as an interim until the CLK convertible arrived) A124 which has the 5spd auto and I believe the V6 used in most of the 210 range

I dunno about the Monte Carlo SS being the "weakest" of the three (that award would have went to the Pontiac Grand Prix, the technical fourth), but I do see your point. I guess I like them clean and simple, although, I don't think that white was the best color either. I always liked the two-tone black and red:

As for the SS Concept, I usually mark it as the beginning of the turnaround at GM, so its an important car to me. Although nothing really did end up coming of the design overall, you see bits and pieces showing up in the newer vehicles more and more.

(Re: YSSMAN's Chevy post)

Bel Air -- Nothing special for its era, really. I won't say much more than that because I'm indifferent to '50s american cars.

C2 -- Yes, that is a very, very hot car. The best Corvette of them all, and honestly the only american car I could imagine ever owning.

Impala -- Sorry YSSMAN, but if you took a 🤬 on a sculptor's table, told them to put together an artistic interpretation of the word "blah," and then turned the result into a car, I think it would look something like this. Same with pretty much any midsize/large '90s american sedan. Of course, being the '90s, there aren't very many cars that looked much better.

Camaro -- I think it's pretty sharp-looking, but like most modern cars (and most concepts, considering it isn't much more than one at this point) it lacks details and contrast, making it look more "flat" than it deserves. I really can't stand this "every single thing on the car must be body-colored and have a smooth, relatively featureless surface" trend that has emerged in this decade (and will likely go down in history as the typical '00s look).

Corvair -- A nice-looking car.

Monte Carlo -- Nothing special for its era, and like the Bel Air I neither like it nor dislike it.

SS Concept -- Plagued by the same problem as the Camaro, but combined with hopelessly awkward proportions and what seem to be the most generic-looking headlights GM could come up with. It just screams "hey look at me, I'm a concept that will never, ever turn into a production car!"

No offense, of course. This thread is all about subjectivity.

Really? While it IS quite obvious, it appears more as the concept flagship of GM, rather than a hopeless dream. Much like the Cadillac Cien and Sixteen, or the Chrysler ME 4-12.
