What is this? A history lesson? When I look at this, I just can't help but feel that they took this "retro" styling far beyond the bounds set by the new Mustangs. This honestly looks like they took an old a-body and customized a few panels for a more contemporary feel. I can't help but look at this monstrocity and really think to myself just how far back this "styling" sets us back! This is the 21st century... cars are supposed to look light, unique, futuristic, compact, and practical. When I look at the Challenger, I see a mid-life crisis pill, an old man's degenerate youth... I see nothing but a flat out joke. It's stupidly impractical!
It's definitely a little more the direction I'd like to see sports cars to go. If it was anything other than just plain ugly, it's definitely hyper. It's a lot more contemporary. Rather than looking like they built off an old a-body, it looks more like they've taken a spaceship and molded those subtle throwbacks. I see great things out of this car as it evolves, but at it's current state it looks terrible but I can appreciate their answer to all this "retro" stuff. Still ugly though, and just really impractical as well.
The older generation of Camaros, say the old f-body, was sleek, smooth, and just practical of a sportscar at that time. It wasn't too over the hill, nor ever an eye sore. It was a perfect blend, and if anything easily beautified.
