the "just plain ugly" car thread

Looks like a Hot Wheels car mixed with something from Wipe Out.

Totally agree with your point about the Atoz. Unlike a lot of people, I didn't think 90s Hyundais were ugly exactly; just very bland, and suspiciously similar to other cars (i.e. Accent/Excel = Civic), but the Atoz is by far the most god-awful thing to come out of any company as far as I'm concerned. They look especially shocking in gold, or should I say baby poop yellow:

That back end...

Apparently, the original '97 Atoz is still offered in Pakistan, with absolutely no model updates, not even the '00 facelift

Almost any Russian car can win here.

*Especcially when it comes to tuning:crazy:*
I don't like box-shaped cars...or copy-paste cars....:indiff:
Oh,and theese cars much more expensive, than they look.
And they have just ugly characteristics, controls and quality.
New cars getting rusty in a month, they are tottaly unsafe and always broken.

Lada 2109
This car is very popular in Russia, you can see it anywhere.

Lada 2110
Probably, the most "Advanced" Russian car of it's time, still producting...

Lada Kalina

Lada Priora:indiff:
The most "facepalm car",because illegal immigrants without brains and "not clever" guys.
They are laying it down,so the car can't drive trough anithing, higher than a 1cm
This car would be okay, but it costs like 2 toyota supra's

Niva

Old copy-pasts

Oka(Killing machine,LOL):scared:

Another mixed Lada:nervous:

As a sweet-Incredeble Russian tuning:D
(OMG:nervous: those low cars are not on pneumatics, they just removed springs, theese cars can't ride on 99% of Russian roads:D)

Boring? Dude, they look awesome when they rip dirt road apart and get muddy, plus was used to climb a certain mountain in Japan I think, it was one of the offroad vehicles to be imported to many countries like mine.

That's enough to make it look a great car.

I think it's a good car too, but I'm telling it on my personal experience.
Russian cars are made for Russia and export.and difference in quality between export and home car is huge.
Export car will not be broken in about 10 years, but home car will be broken in the same day you bought it.
When it comes to city, this car is just terrible if you're trying to make a corner on 40km/h.
If more-roll over.
Also, not all of them are so good at rally and dirt.
BTW I love this commercial :D

A bertone designed 1976 One-off Ferrari was always gonna look odd yet slightly cool. But here's the catch... That hint of coolness would need to be backed up by a decent name. Ferrari Cazador, Ferrari Monza, Ferrari Imola, Ferrari LeMans Superfast etc. etc.

But, and I'm not lying here, it's called the...

Ferrari Rainbow.

Imp mated with a Falcon?
It's ZAZ 968M Zaporozhets. A Ukrainian sport coupe with rear-mounted air-cooled V4 with 40hp. :)

@ferrari gt
Modern Russian cars are ugly, I agree. But not Soviet. ;)
Why'd you put the 2101 here? This is Italian design, Fiat 124.

And Niva... Man, Niva is unique.
It may look like an outdated turd today, but in 1976, it was the world's first comfortable compact SUV. And the only Russian car known almost worldwide. It was officially exported even to Japan (!).
Too bad that it almost hasn't changed since the '76. But that's another story. :D

And... Zaporozhets is not a copy-paste. At least the 968.

They sell the Niva in the UK don't they?

I'd get one personally because they're decent utility.

Compared to a lot of cars, it looks great. If you ignore the fact that it has a useless hybrid engine, the overall body looks great. It's like a shooting brake/hot hatch/sedan mixed together in a very aerodynamic shape. The rear lights are very well integrated into the body shape too.
