the "just plain ugly" car thread

None of the cars on the previous page 63 are ugly ... i think there is some error in definitions...

The only exception is the hideous Rodius.

And i have a nomination for this page, which will not make Mr Slash very happy because its a Ford.

Anyone notice how weird looking the current Fiesta Sedan is, especially seen directly from behind?

Let me explain: by itself, the car is fine per say...
But when you see it next to another regular car, your start to notice how the Fiesta strangely narrow and tall

Reminds me of this everytime i see one driving around others...

Denza EV.
It's a new brand by partner companies Daimler and BYD Auto.

I actually find this thing to be not bad looking at all...

That's one of the least ugliest cars I've seen on this thread. Yes, it is ugly in general. But it's nothing compared to some of the cars on the previous pages.

A bertone designed 1976 One-off Ferrari was always gonna look odd yet slightly cool. But here's the catch... That hint of coolness would need to be backed up by a decent name. Ferrari Cazador, Ferrari Monza, Ferrari Imola, Ferrari LeMans Superfast etc. etc.

But, and I'm not lying here, it's called the...

Ferrari Rainbow.
Looks like the Stratos HF concept car, with a less ridiculous roof line.

Ha! I have a book on this car because it was related to the 308.

Just no...

It's not like his comment on how "the Corvette has never been a pretty car" wasn't more debatable. Especially given the factual manner in which he stated it.

Not that I completely agree with his sentiments on the C7. But making a sweeping statement about a variety of designs that all happened to share the same Corvette nameplate without giving any reason why beyond trying to emphasise how much he dislikes the C7 design does call that part of his post into question.

Honda HPX. This is just completely ugly to me.

I actually love this thing now. To some it may be ugly but I guess you posted in the wrong thread. Put it in the Ugly but appealing cars thread. :D

NO corvette has been ugly enough for this thread. ever. IMO the C4 was the ugliest of the lot, but still not nearly as ugly as it needs to be to be posted here.

And in my opinion, no corvette's were ever ugly. Not a single one of them. If you thought any fo them could be ugly, then your taste in cars is pretty average.

The problem is calling it a kit variation of the Ferrari, when not even the Front Engine Ferrari of current and past look like this, and it still has a bit of C6 in it to even be called what he called it.

I got that. But there's a difference between him saying the C7 looks like such and such (which sounded more like an opinion than anything else even if it's one few of us agree with), and making a seemingly factual statement about how there has never been a pretty Corvette prior to the C7.

The way in which the latter was presented is what I find dubious. If he could at least give a reason for it rather than a broad generalisation supposedly based on his distaste for the current Corvette, I'd probably let it slide.

And that's why I called him out because too many on here just want to generalize (not just this thread) and not explain something. It's fine if you want to have this conservative view which is brought on by the region you live in or upbringing or combination or other factors that are also myopic, but don't thinly put on us in the form of a chat room snip. This is why I argue so much on the cool walls (as if I don't argue enough). So I actually do agree with you, just thought I'd explain why I'm said what I said.

It's okay to have an opinion, but it's just not okay to make a big freaking deal about someone else's non-empirical statements about subjective things such as styling.

Except for the Dongfeng D120, probably posted elsewhere in this thread.

Sure it is, this isn't a chat room. Actually contribute and no one will bother to ask for more insight. It didn't make sense and originally I didn't make a big issue just make a simple comment and then was quoted and pressured myself, so I explained. The end.
