the "just plain ugly" car thread

Pretty much every Lamborghini in the past 5 years is extremely ugly (except the road-going Huracan, that looks okay).

Oh... my... giddy aunt Gertrude. I remember sharing similar disdain for the Veneno's looks in another thread, but this thing is in a whole other league. It looks like a tacky plastic toy from a dollar store.

Honestly, the Venono isn't ugly at all, it' supposed to eb a mean car for tracks and also streets, as it goes at insane speeds. Now, the Egoista, I agree 100%. I'm sorry Lamborghini, I may admire the Venono, but, what the heck is up with that Egoista? I know it's the future but, Jesus H. Christ.

...

Oh no. Oh. No.

The...Toyota WiLL Vi...what the hell. No smart man would drive this. :ill:

EDIT: ...Excuse me...I need need to take a break. After I saw this monstrosity. Ford AU, what the ****.

The Focus isn't as bad as the Fiesta, which looks like an aardvark, but it's still a terrible attempt at an Aston Martin imitation.

Is it bad that I would drive the WiLL?

Also, that Falcon is modified for handicapped people. Something was bound to happen.

Not really.

When Ford had their big Kinetic period in around 2008, the trapezoidal grilles became pretty much standard across the range (to varying degrees; the Transit Connect had a very mild bumper tweak). As gaping grilles started to become more popular across different design languages, the string of facelifts that began in 2013 shifted the grille from the lower portion of the bumper. They were reduced in size slightly, and given some chrome accents, but it's still the typical Kinetic design face. I think it suits the current range much more than the giant grilles ever did.

What the? Why Citroen, why?!

DS became standalone brand in 2014 after four years as a Citroën sub-brand. Since the DS 5LS was released two years ago for the Chinese market, the new fascia and lack of chevrons have helped distinguish it as part of a newer, more upmarket (and yes, considerably less pretty) brand rather than just jazzed up Citroëns. Especially in Asia.

TL;DR: There is no Citroën. Only DS.

Well, that explains it and now this new brand kinda annoys me. It annoys me almost as much as Chrysler making Ram a separate brand.
