the "just plain ugly" car thread

Too late. I got a litle triggered. I wouldn't call that ugly one bit. It's not special either, it's anything but ugly.
All a matter of opinion, of course, but I think a lot of American cars of that era are pretty hideous:

Seriously, whose idea was it to make the rear window vertical? It just looks awful, almost comically so.

Maybe I meant in the otehr way. I am not 100% smooth in the english language so I might not make sense at all times. What I meant its, recent some Fiat cars recent have'nt eben changign for the good way, as I shown the Toro, I would rather pick the Palio Pickup/Strada or something. The way the front looks is just, terrible.

Those are all ugly except the Grand Am, which has to many doors to look good, but isn't ugly. The 2 door model Grand Am was decent enough, considering they're from the 80s, arguably America's ugliest car time period.

This isn't that ugly, but I can see where your coming from. It's strange, that's for sure. Taking a little compact SUV like the Renegade and making it a big pickup truck is a bit wierd but for some reason I like it.

There were some good looking plastic and steel when it came to American 80's cars. Take a look at these.

I'm actually starting to like the C4 all of a sudden for some reason. I never liked it before.

Now, the Omni and the Mustang might have been from the late 70's but they were updated for the 80's.

That sounds an awful lot like "I can understand why you think that might be from Germany, but it's not." This thread, along with plenty of others, is entirely subjective. You might ought to try something more along the lines of "I don't think that's ugly" or "I actually like that." There's nothing wrong with stating your own opinions and/or disagreeing with others', but that came off as very matter-of-fact.

I, for one, think its most damning features are what make it identifiable as a Renegade--I've even posted the Renegade in this very thread.

I wouldn't say it's ugly either, however. Half of what a jeep really is, while half of it, mixing a bit of style of the older american trucks, like the F-100 or something. Gotta say, that's sort of creative and I really like the looks. It kinda looks a bit off at times but overall, I would just call it kinda an oddity.

My opinion is that all of the current Jeep styling is hideous. Last I checked there were no posts based on facts with this thread.

If anything, it is one of the more stylish Dodges produced.
In. Your. Opinion. All caps. Seven point font. Italicized, bolded and underlined.

I certainly wouldn't call it stylish, but there's nothing terribly off-putting about it so I probably wouldn't call it ugly either--it's just a really weak tea. (And note the use of "I" in this instance, as it is my opinion.)

Still, someone not liking something you do doesn't constitute a personal attack and you sure seem (seem...to me) to perceive it as such. Please stop. Please.

Most of the time, yes, you're right, it doesn't, but this case is different. Beeblebrox had posted a nasty status about me, claiming that I am a troll (before he edited it it sayed that I was a moron). I don't think he hates the car that much, he just hates me, so he'll say he hates the car just to tick me off. Just like the White Nerdy situation, people hated the Sunfire because he loved it, which is thestupidest reason to hate something ever.
