I'm like you VIPERGTSR01, I've been waiting since August, and I've been told this week... (I'll believe it when I see it...)

In about 9 days my Driving Force Pro will be exactly one year old. And it's still going strong ... woohoo!

This wheel is the shizzle.

NFSU2 only supports 200 degree steering, so both lights won't light-up, as a matter of fact I think GT4 is the only driving game that has/supports 900 degree steering, someone correct me if i'm wrong.

NFSU2 suppot 900 degree...

I only play it in 900 degree...and it recognize it automatically...what about the 200 degre?!? :P

For some of you curious about how the DFP performs here is a 57MB video I made. Its using 100% force feed back with 200degree lock to lock on GT3.

Bought a new digi Camcorder so I thought i test it out Right Click and "save link target as" Here 💡

Thanx for the vid overall...Could you record a video with the 900 degree mode activated?

and also with a nearest camera view of the steering wheel :)

if its possible of course...cause i am so curious to play and to see it in the 900 degree mode, thing that i haven´t saw or made before :indiff:

That is the best idea I heard about a seat in long time!

Pictures please if completed...

I only got the DFP yesterday, thus it hasn't been started yet!!!

I dunno if it's actually a 1962 Mini seat, but it is a Mini seat coming out of my Mini-mad friends 1962 Mini. I'm not building the cockpit either, he wants to especially after he played with the DFP!!! (and he normally doesn't play racing games...)

Sweet ;)

I first played the DFP with GT3 and it was nice, but it pales in comparison to it's natural environment of GT4P, and eventually GT4. While it'll take ALOT of practice to be as quick as the DS2, it is exponentially more fun, except on 'rally' ATM...

Will send you pic of the crude cockpit when it gets finished... there are much better from what I've seen from others...

Yeah I would if I had prologue but my ntsc PS2 is not chipped :dopey:

You can force 900 degrees in GT3 but not fun because its becomes proportional to that of 200 Degrees instead of behaving like real steering wheel, where only the hard turns requires you to turn it more then 90 degrees from center. :indiff:

well, for me it would be great as i wanna see it in action

could u do it for me? With a good view of the steering wheel as well as the game playing.

I always wanted to see the 900 degree mode in action but i have never before. :indiff:

Hey. What is the difference between a DF and a DFP? Does the DF have 900 degrees mode? And is only the DFP force feedback? Finally, how much is the DFP and is it worth the money or are there better wheels on the market?

What is the difference between a DF and a DFP?

A. Well, for starters, the look of each wheel is different:
1. Logitech Driving Force:

2. Logitech Driving Force Pro:

B. Both support Force Feedback
C. Only the DFP supports the 900 degree rotation of the steering wheel.
D. The DF retails for about $80 dollars (U.S.) while the DFP retails for $150 (Worth every penny mind you!)
E. Currently, no one offers a better wheel, that is unless you can find one of those discontinued Logitech Momo Force wheels (Red one) online over at Ebay or some other auction website.

Goddamn! Those prices!!! That's about NZ$1550 at current exchange rates, my DFP was 'only' NZ$349.99!!! And apparently I can get better pedals for a hefty price too...

Thanks a lot SimRaceDriver, the DFP comes with pedals too doesn't it? And does it have a clutch pedal?

Hey hellnback, when did you get your DFP and from where? I think I can stretch to $350 but I'll look around a bit to find the DFP at a cheaper price if I can. Still a while to xmas thankfully.

I got mine from Noel Leemings, apparently they're at Harvey Norman as well, same price...

Sony Entertainment New Zealand (or something like that) are the ones importing them in, although in 'limited' numbers at present, so they say.

You can buy it off Amazon for US$113, that's NZ$160, add the shipping and you're still saving a heck of a lot of money. Other places online where I have found it cheaper don't ship to New Zealand but this is a no brainer.

Thanks man, sorry to ask again but does the DFP come with pedals and is there a clutch pedal? My first wheel so I don't really know much sorry.

I'm only 17 and I don't have my own credit card and my parents won't let me use theirs so unfortuately buying online isn't an option for me yet. Pity since it seems like I can save a lot of dosh doing it that way:grumpy:. Oh well tomorrow I'll go try to convince my dad to give his credit card.

My parents are much the same but we've had very happy experiences with Amazon, if you can't buy it online but get it in a store the good thing is it'll be in your hand straight away!

Yeah comes with pedals Revheadnz, but to take real advantage of the DFP you need to be in something resembling a driving position (i.e. cockpit) and is a stable platform... it TOTALLY changes GT4P as a game...

Revheadnz - could you sign up for a paypal account linked to your bank account and then pay amazon through paypal for it? seems like you could save a lot of money if you purchased it from there. Also, you could send amazon a money order which wouldn't cost too much either.

Since GT4 isn't going to be here for a while, you might as well try to save some money. Heck, if you can't do either of those two, I'll buy one and have it shipped directly to you from amazon if you paypal me the money.

okay i made a vid. its like... 33mb tho, and my website doesnt have enough bandwith to store it there. i dont think you want a really low quality video, so... anybody wanna give up some bandwidth for a few days  later-
