GT4 and GT4 proluge only 900 supported games.

TOCA2 supports it. The options refers to it as "Multi-Turn" steering, but it's the same thing. The wheel detects it, too, and automatically switches to 900 mode when the race starts.

If I paid 300 bucks for a pedal system, I'd at least want a clutch option or a slot to add one.

Actually, both the ECCI and FREX setups do have the ability to add the clutch at any time. Nothing on the PS2 supports it though. Just the PC.

Pak
And what about shaking in 900 degree mode? I don't have this but other people do. :\

Shaking is because the force feedback is activating when it oughtn't (e.g., on the grid when nothing is happening). Ideally this should never happen, though it is possible to get some great engine vibration effects through the wheel if the developers include it in the game. Any deadzone is software/calibration dependent. You have nothing to worry about.

Shaking at 300kmh in the Mclaren is not because the feedback is operating when it shouldnt!!! is it?

PAK doesnt get this vibration either!

EDIT: I think TOCA PRD2 has 900 degree support.

At the risk of repeating previously answered questions, he might not have full force enabled, or he might not call shaking what you call shaking. That's all I can think of besides considering whether he's using the right AC adaptor and if his USB connections are clean and he's not using an extension cable.

So that shaking vibration at speed is correct then? I was starting to worry myself

Well i asked, and advised him how to change the settings, and he seems to think he had done it, and he still doesnt experience that vibration/ shaking and its pretty hard to miss IMHO with the Mclaren, so to me it would seem that something is not quite as it should be with his wheel.

Mmmmm, my DFP is back in his box now, waiting for the release of GT4, but I don't remember any shaking due to high speed in Prologue. That's not with the McLaren neither.

Hey, I don't think my wheel is faulty. :)
I asked someone else and he and his friend didn't have shaking either in Prologue. (at full force feedback etc.)
And my wheel can shake very hard in 900degree mode with PC games.. so it's not like the force feedback motor is broken or something.

NFSU2 is not very fun in 900 mode for the pc... i dont know about ps2... Is it actually playable for the PS2 version in 900 mode?

There is a new steering wheel stand for Driving Force and Driving Force Pro wheels. It is on ebay. ebay search " steering wheel stand" check it out.

yes it is, i play Underground 2 in 900 degree, except for drifting i switch it back to 200 degree because i cant turn fast enough. Im pretty sure that the PS2 version is desgned for 900 because in the options for your wheel you can set the game for half turn or multi turn.

It may just be me, but today when I used it on Prologue, it felt a lot lighter, almost as if the force feedback was less. And before you asked, it was plugged in.

yup, same for me since i'm american. Left side drivers Represent!!!!
Anyways... i just started using the one of the pedals of my old logitech driving force wheel as a clutch in live for speed and it is AWSOME. i've already cut .5 seconds off my personal best times, and am almost a fulll second faster on my average race lap times. Awsome.. :) The clutch has made me better in everything.. except drifting. Drifting is harder, but it is fun to healtoe now. So.. now i can say Good drifting is harder than good racing :P

I want a vid of somebody using the wheel...

If it's anything like 900 degree mode was in GT3, I'm effed.

Also, what happens for cars that have 180 degree steering in real life (F1 cars come to mind)? It'd be neat if it automatically changed, but I guess it's ok if it doesn't. It'll be wierd turning so much in an F1, when it's really all about twitch reflexes.

There is no 900 mode in GT3, so don't worry - the 900 degree mode is fantastic. In GT3, if you unlock 900 mode all you are doing is reducing the steering ratio by about a third. GT3 has steering assistance, meaning the steering ratio is the same as in 900 mode until you start getting to the extremes of the 220 degrees of GT Force lock, when the ratio changes to assist you whereas in real life you would need to keep turning.

F1 cars do not have 180 steering in real life, so again - don't worry. Different cars have different steering ratios and this is reflected in the game.

Its nothing like GT3, I only have GT4 Prologue and the DFP is 100% better than GT3, GT4 is supposed to be alot better again.

so will the wheel change locks for F1 cars, or do just the ratios change?

Does anyone know any cheap online retailers that support paypal and will ship to Canada? I have yet to find one and there are only 2 listed on ebay, and I'm not willing to pay 42.00 USD in shiping. Or even stores in canada that carry the DFP, any help would be appreciated.

Hey Buggy Boy, I was wondering, does your DFP start shaking uncontrollably on Fuji's main straight with the McLaren? In both 180 and 900 degree mode?
