DRIFT GOD
its a computer stand i bought at walmart for about $30.00 i originally bought it for STEEL BATTALLION but it works great for the DFP ;)

EDIT : here is a link to it đź‘Ť

Computer Cart, Black & Silver

Thanks, i just picked one up today and it works great with any office chair. I recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to spend over $100 on a setup. For $30 you can't go wrong.

finally picked up my driving force pro tonight. $100. since i dont have gt4 yet ill go play with gt3

the wheel also works great with TOCA Race Driver 2. i rented it so i'll have something to keep me busy until the release of the ultimate game.

ANyways my problem is that my wheel is acting weird. when i plug it into my PC, it just spins all teh way to the right, then all the way to the left like its trying to callibrate, but it never does so it keeps doing it. and My pc doesnt detect the pedals or wheel, but it recognises that its plugged in. ALso, the left light is blinking and the right light is just on... It happened after my computer restarted on its own. and i just restarted and its still like that. :indiff:

Download the latest drivers off of logitec's website.

[myg0t]wicked most of your questions are answered in the first post: Select+R3+Right paddle (or left paddle - can't remember) switches to 900 degree mode. Don't use it on GT3 - it sucks.

I use sim mode with all driving assists off.

Hi guys

I just bought the driving force pro and connected it on my ps2. But when I start playing a game that support the wheel the wheel is turning a litle to the right and than turns back and this goes own for a very long time also the left light is flashing. after a long time it stops and both lights are flashing.
The wheel doesnt respont in the game no matter what I push in.
Yet he detect that there is a wheel connected. :scared:

HELP!! :indiff:

Okay, I've tried and tried, but my DFP will not switch out of 900 degree mode. I'm trying to get it into 200, but it's just not working. Anyone have any suggestions?

Something I've noticed:

Generally in replays, you press L3 to fast forward in GT4, I press it, nothing happens, however, if I press the buttons on the rear of the wheel, it functions as L3. I've tried using the right button as R3 in an attempt to adjust the lock on it, but it's just not working...is there a certain time I should be doing this in the game or what?

I've been using it for a while in 900 degree mode, but I want to use 200 for a few races, as I don't want to sit back in an endurance race and have to twist and turn the wheel that much, lol. Thanks!

it's calibrating, and chances are you probably have it in the bottom USB port, it needs to be in the TOP usb port.

Its connected to the top usb port.

I just some how set it on 200 degree mode and now the wheel turn right and then back repeating it for while till it reach the left end and than it stops. The 2 lights starts flashing after that. but still nothing on the wheel and pedals aren`t responding. :ill:

what must i do?? is it broken??

can`t believe it I just spend 139 euro`s for it and didn`t had any fun with (yet).

ive been playing gt3 and its going to get awhile till i get the hang of it. do you guys use 200 or 900 degree modes? also, how do u set it to 900 degrees? haha and also do you guys use beginner, amateur, pro, or sim modes? thanks :)

if the game supports 900deg. it will calibrate itself when you start the game, GT3 is 200deg. but very fun and good practice for GT4, NFS:U2 supports 900deg. but drifting is very hard, but drag racing is cool with the shifter. i didnt try TOCA 2 yet, i have it on X-BOX and its a very good game, so i might rent it for PS2 ;)

I just saw that drifting vid. on the drifting thread, man just awsome. Advice to anyone that conciders to buy DFP and hasn't seen that vid. .....................forget I just can't explain it..........you must buy DFP and I will too, I promise:)

Edit: although I'm pretty late with downloading that vid.

My left hand has swollen up, the force feedback hurts! Mayve this is because the table it is on is not secure? It wobbles alot. My racing seat and frame have been ordered thou.

Anyone elses hand hurt or swollen up?

are u talking about those 3 vids that were made using 200 mode? I think in the beginning of the Vid it says he was using the old GT Force :sly: DFP is still a must buy along with GT4.

i've used the bottom and had no problems

That depends wich game your playing. like gran turismo if you use the bottom usb than the wheel only work for the 2nd player and the top usb is for the first player.
So your right that it isnt realy a problem.

Can some one help with my problem please I posted it sooner this day.

Try this:

* Unplug the DFP from PS2 as well as power adapater from wall outlet

* Turn off PS2 completely

* Plug DFP back into PS2, including power adapter into wall outlet

* Turn on PS2 & install game cd

* Once ready, go into the game settings (Don't have the game yet, but it should be pretty easy to find this) and make sure the DFP is fully calibrated.

* Save settings

* Run a race & see how it works!

NOTE: If problem persists, load another driving game & see if the issue continues...if not, your issue is game releated!

Hope this helps!

Hell YEAH, it's a must, certaintly, again to anyone who has his second thoughts about it: If you don't get REAL BIG problems, wich you won't offcourse, BUY IT, IT'S FANTASTIC. I can imagine that when you have GT4+DFP the DFP causes most of the fun!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
If it's still not clear to you, go to the drifting vid. thread to see my reply there, you just can't refuse the DFP:D:D:D:tup:đź‘Ť

Thanks for all the advice but i still have the problem.
What does it mean two flashing lights? đź’ˇ

Ok, well, I called Logitech's Customer Support today, and the slow-talking guy promptly told me when I asked if I could get an AC Adapter for my DFP, "You can't do that." GG Logitech...

Are you kidding me? you can't get a new power supply for the DFP??

www.ICTcompany.com - $55 for a refurbed DFP. Maybe they will sell you just a power supply, other wise $55 is probably less than logitech would charge for the power supply anyway, and this way you have a backup wheel.

just out of curiosity, what version is your PS2? i recall reading one time the old skool PS2's don't work (the ones when PS2 first came out) with DFP because the USB ports weren't configured or something for such a device.

the LED's flashing? not sure what it means. check the AC adapter's voltage rating.
i get this flashing lights thing whenever i forget to plug in the AC adapter, and seeing as how yours is plugged in tells me something aint right there, but i could be wrong :nervous:

My lights were flashing when I first got my DFP, so I plugged my AC adapter into another socket and that fixed it.

This has probably been asked in this thread already, but since it's 50 + pages:
What is a good alternative to the Driving Force Pro. The thing is $150. I need something in the 50-70 dollar range. So far I am thinking about the Pelican Evo Sport GT, but I don't know if this is a quality wheel.

Here's a link ===>> link

That wheel doesnt seem to be force feedback, Logitech driving force (not pro) is cheap and its got force feedback.

Just curious do you guys lift your foot of the gas when shifting or do you just keep on the gas and shift.

I do because it makes the experience feel more authentic. If it's an automatic only car (ie Acura 3.2 CL type S 5AT), I don't.
