Hi, yeah I should be posting this in the right thread but i cant find one. This is df-p related.

Will the game still be good with the regular driving force wheel? Im thinking of using that for a while before i save up enough to get the pro

Thats what i Did last year. If you save an extra 50 bucks i'd reccomend that though since gt4 is about to come out. 👍

Is this normal for my DFP?

I am playing GT3 with 100% feedback on. After I make a turn, if I let my DFP go the whell bobs back and forth. Even on the straightways if I turn the wheel just a little bit and let go the wheel starts jerking around.

During a timetrail, I came to a complete stop. While I was completely stopped, I turned my wheel and let go and it goes back and forth. Is this nomal?

I may seem really stupid but this is my first experiance with a wheel.

Is this just the wheel wanting to come to the center or is there something wrong?

And I find it really hard to get it centered after a turn. I have to grip the wheel really tight and hold it until it is centered. Then if I let go it does not bob around.

So if I let go while the wheel is not centered, it will bob around?

Am I correct?

Please help me. Thanks.

Yeah I found that out too, you need to always always hold on to your wheel. mine bobs back and forth also, but holding on to it keeps it steady, it may be the fact your going 200+ MPH on a road with alot of wind so its not going to be completely comfortable.

I wish it was a bit easier to steer out of turns its really hard to bring it back to center comming out of a turn. Other then that its fantastic!

It seems so to me, its not a bad thing, but going that fast with wind resistance/road conditions it would seem rather normal. hope I helped ya out :) thats just my guess on it though.

The feed back is trying to simulate bumps etc. There is no other way then for the motor to pull the wheel around, so it looks strange when you are not holding the wheel but if you are its gives you the correct force feedback feeling.

It is normal and not that obvious when you play either GT4 prologue or the BMW demo. In GT3 it seems that it is just not matching yet (hard & software that is.) If you now only own gt3 prepare for another overwhelming experience with the DFP, you are going to love it even more

hey guys, how about a DFP drifting party on a LFS demo server on monday to celebrate GT4's release on tuesday?

Could you tell me how did you config the wheel with LFS? I don't really like the handling since i have it and can't achieve my good old times  .

My DFP pedals don't work anymore. I read somewhere that, if you order a new DFP you get pedals with new, bigger and more reliable potmeters.

Is this true???

you should give logitech customer support a call and they'll most likely replace it for free. i might have to give them a call soon also. my brake pedal is making clicking noises.

Same as me. My throttle pedal disconnects every X minutes, and I can't do a lap without having to reconnect the USB port... :guilty:

I'm starting to get a little paranoid now, I've had my DFP for almost a year but have only really just started using it since getting GT4 last month.

What do you think my chances of getting them to swap the pedals for me are before they go belly up?

I've send them an e mail. I can't turn my DFP and pedals in because I opened them several times, switching pots and putting them into the pedals, firmly. It was working fine till last night.

Let you all know if I get an answer

Well, maybe this problem shouldn't occure if it came to your driving style, cause if you must drive a smooth line in order to go fast, you don't let the wheel go so suddenly, and with drifting you need to countesteer slowly, so how do you drive??
I haven't got any experience with steering wheels too, so this is no comment but more affraid for it cause I'm thinking of buying it too, so I wanna keep hope for the wheel and "blame"your driving maybe because I'm so desperate about that DFP, I REALLY WANT IT.
So I hope it isn't THAT bad if you keep a bit of a smooth line................but IS it that bad:scary::scary:
