Yes, it's not cheap, but it's worth the money. I would reccomend buying DFP. But can't help you where in UK could you get it.

I have a problem with GT4 and the Logitech Driving Force Pro.
After I've been racing for awhile the brakes come on "slightly" (shown as a single red bar on the brake indicator)
which makes it impossible to reach full acceleration.
The only thing I can do to correct the problem is to pause the game, unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in to reset the wheel.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any thoughts on whether its the game or the wheel that's causing the problem. I need help!

For anyone in the UK (like me), if you are looking to buy a DFP, I suggest buying it from here as its the cheapest I could find it... http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=75536

Also if you want a USB pen drive thing for Photomode, check out... http://www.aria.co.uk/DealForToday.asp and about quarter of the way down is "Arianet USB 2 Pen Drive 128 MB " for only £9 (WARNING: Delivery not cheap on Aria)

Hope this helps some of you, if this has already been answered with cheaper places to buy from in the UK, then please tell me about it :)

How long does it take to calibrate?

I finally got it to work... kinda...

When GT4 starts up, the left light blinks and the wheel roatats in small increments to the right before it reaches the end, then the right light blinks and it does the same thing till it reaches the end going left.

Then it senters itself and both lights stay solid... the only thing is, this takes like 5 or 6 minutes...

Everytime I have to wait... and the intro movie plays completely, and it even loads up my Gran Turismo mode save... and it continues to calibrate.

Tho this is sometimes hit and miss, ive had a couple times today, it wouldnt calibrate at all, and after turning, would just stop and both lights would blink.

When it does "work", while I am driving, it re-centers the wheel. Several times this morning, I would be racing, and while the wheel was turned, it would decide to make the angle of the wheel at that particular time, the new center point. And it would keep doing it. It got to the point that the wheel all the way turned to the right was the "new" center point, meaning I had to keep the wheel all the way to the right to go straight, wasnt able to turn right, and all I could rally do is turn to the left...

Does anyone have any idea whats going on?

How long does it take everyone else to calibrate and does it need to do it everytime the PS2 starts up....

And can someone please explain to me the calibration process their wheel does so I can understand what mine should/shouldnt be doing

And does any one else's ever auto calibrate again while your driving?

Quick FYI for those attracted to the price ... from the site :

"This high-quality item has been refurbished and will be shipped in a non-retail box. Manual and other documentation are not included."

refurbished means sent back to teh retailer to be fixed and basically it is brand new again...no box/manual dont matter i read mine and nto much there to say anything except to change force feedback and such

alot of people on www.superhonda.com in teh gt4 section have ordered and said that theirs work perfect

Defenatly something wrong with yours, My wheel will calibrate everytime I restart my PS2, but it only takes no more than say 30 seconds.

What it does is goes left full lock (450*) then rotates all the way to the right full lock (900*) then centres and makes the clicking noises, the it will go left again to full lock (100*) then back to right full lock (200*) then centre and remake the clicking noises and lock the wheel into 900* mode.

So first it calibrates for 900*, then for 200* and locks it into 900* mode. It never trys to recalibrate during ingame at all.

Sorry to hear your problems but youve got to ring Logitech about it.

Thanks for assuming that I don't know what refurbished means. I was merely pointing it out since there may be some people who do not want refurbished products.

Uhmm, I think he was stating that for people who don't know, and to give some expierience for people who have bought it in refurbished state from that site, not to tell you what the word meant DRT. ;)

No problems, good to hear you have another coming :)

uhmm, the GT Force is only 200 degrees of rotation too isn't it? the GT Force Pro is 900 degrees, which is 2.5 turns lock to lock - much more realistic.

I couldn't say but driving force is better on gt4 than gt3, I bought the driving force because it was cheaper and not all of us throw away 150 dollars for a steering wheel for a game.

Did you mean you bought the GT Force or the DFP?

Driving Force is the same thing as GT Force as I just previously stated but its not the same as pro so when I say driving force count it for gt force too not dfp.

Thanks for the info I was trying to decide if I should buy the GT Force cuz I don't want to spend 150 on a wheel!

3 different names getting confusing, haha. What Zero just said tho..the one for $150, is 900 degrees/2.5 turns lock to lock. NOT the same as the other two in regards to how far you have to turn the wheel to get full steering lock in the car you are driving.

Which is what I said lol.
