Thanx mate, ill think about that option im just watching one more DFP from eBay, and then ill consider about that. I am being quite cautious of eBay now as of just being scammed trying to buy a Sony PSP :( Anyway.

does anyone know which site sells a refurbished DFP that ships internationally? justdeal and pricegrabber doesn't ship to where i am now :nervous:

Really? Got in staples about 5 years ago.

It's been in and out of my room and the garage numerous times now, i just needed a separate place for my tv and dfp to go, as the desk to the right of it has my laptop on.

I'm sure this has been answered before but I can't find the answer :-(
How can I disable all automatic counter steer in GT4 with a DFP? I have disabled active steering but still the wheel does counter steer by it's own. All other settings should be set to default.

Any hints?

Disable force feed back. It might be the answer you're looking for.

I'm not at home at the moment (so can't try it out, besides I don't like the idea of turning off FFB) but this does not sound like the answer I was looking for. Of course force feedback makes the wheel move, but not counter steer the way I noticed: I was in a license and had a drift and the wheel countersteered by about 90°.

the wheel is supposed to do that :P you can weaken ffb to 60% using the button combination. or u can plug out power supply...

you are using 900° mode, right? if you are using 200 its going to be very sensative.

try letting go and let it "countersteer" for you. the car will crash. this clearly shows it is NOT countersteering, but only the road getting tires to turn that way. picture wheels going sideways, but they are movable. they will certainly move to a position where it is easier for it to move - towards the direction of travel. seriously, half of these people here have never driven a car in real life and starts to shout out unrealistic propoerties of the game. there are some things that are unrealistic, but out of all things, it wouldn't be the "auto countersteer."

so the DFP is definatly usable with PC using this:

i play a number of racing sims on PC and I have a Thrustmaster wheel, i thought there'd be no point getting the DFP for GT4 and having to find space to store 2 wheels, unless there was some way to use the DFP on the PC, and i can get rid of the wheel i have

no... but there is an uber high quality 1080° steering wheel comingo out soon. The prototype that a magazine tested had force feedback that could be set strong enough to rip out of your hands and much much more responsive than the dfp. it can spin much faster than the dfp as well.

http://www.teambrd.co.uk/speed7-wheel.html. its in a different class from the DFP. but its over a grand.

You're damn right it's in a different class!!! I mean, if i could get 6 DFP's for the same price, obviously there's going to be a world of difference!

i have gt4 and i have completed 25% of the game and is the wheel really worht it i have a really crappy wheel and i dont like to use it but i think it is because it is just really crappy. i was wondering if someone from wisconsin milwaukee area knew if there was a store that sold if for cheaper

just got my DFP today, works great! love the FF, didn't realize the backstretch of Circuit de la Sarthe was so bumpy!

but i also discovered that it is nearly impossible to drive with the wheel in your lap,:dunce: cant wait to get my cockpit built......
