Yeah man, Metal wise I am really into the whole Deathcore/Hardcore thing right now :P Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, Emmure, Lamb of God, etc. :)

And Pantera, awesome :) On guitar? I play quite a lot of my own material in Drop C tuning :D Let me know if you are intersted in listening! (or anyone else for that matter)

I dont really think LoG is considered hardcore/deathcore or any core genres. But its all good I hate genre labeling wars. Will Adler from LoG is amazing btw.

Man I would love to compose my own stuff. I'd like to hear :).

I usually like to try to improvise or try make something up with a certain scale on guitar and piano.
But creativity is my weakest point :indiff:

I love Dragon Force and I'm not ashamed to admit that! Grew up with Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies, Anthrax and the like. The band that's completely gripped my nuts is The Red Chord, brutal and very tongue in cheek. Their side project Beyond the Sixth Seal is something that's worth a listen too, it's got a more classic metal sound, but still those guttural growls that we've all come to love.

Not sure, maybe LoG is like death metal, but anyways, still love em! :D

Heres a link to my band: http://www.myspace.com/buckarooski

Would really apreciate your feedback :P and of course anyone else who has a look :) I am 15 and my drummer is 16 and, i don't want to sound to modest, but I think we are pretty good for our age :)

As for your own composing just keep trying dude! I'm not sure what tunings you like to use but I am a big fan of Drop Tunings ;) I am sure you know but that makes it that little bit easier to play power chords but the reason I use it is to get that heavier sound. Really easy and fun to improvise with. And heres the bit I find pretty funny. I don't know any scales! Well, I know the blues scale but I never use that during my improv. I am not sure how but the drop tunings just seem to work for me ;) Anyways, give it a go and keep trying man :)

An excellent selection there Force10! Some excellent vocalists in these bands, you probably have, in my opinion, not only the best in Dio, Halford and Dickinson, but also the most underrated: King Diamond. Dude has an absolutely unbelievable vocal range.

Hey its not bad =)
I like how its not to technical. Simple but still sounds good. Everyone in my school who thinks are talented sure play nothing but crap. In the recording though, it sounds like the bass is to high. Did you guys recorded separately or all in one band together? But other than that hell better than what I can do.
Keep going you and your band :)

Well I mostly play in E Standard and Drop D. I dont play metal much on the guitar not too good for it. I just love improvising Eurobeat/video game kind of music. Dang that sounded so much like a nerd :nervous:

BTW anyone in the USA going to see Bleeding Through with Oceano, For The Fallen Dreams, Upon A Burning Body, and I The Breather?

Thanks for the feedback :) Yeah, we recorded kinda weird, a friend of ours did it for us who has a home studio so me and my drummer played live on the day then she added a bass track later. I say myself it seemed to come out rather bassy. Thanks for your feedback :)

Drop Ds cool for easy improv imo. And it didn't make you sound like a nerd! I thought it sounded cool! I wouldn't know where to start when playing Video game music on a guitar

But yeah, for my music GCSE at school I am having to pick up Classical/Spanish guitar. I definatley recommend having a blast at that, its very different to what I am used to ;)

home studio? Wow you guys really are a dedicated band :)
Fix the bass problem and It'll be good 👍

I have pretty weird music tastes. But maybe I'll try going Drop C to see how its like and to play some Killswitch Engage stuff

I have a guitar class at my school. But its all just basic music theory (music sheets that kind of stuff) and I know this stuff so Its nothing really new for me. I'd like to experience the classical/spanish music. Very mellow but interesting

My 7 string is tuned in standard, though ill tune to drop A every so often. My 6 string is in drop C. Posted some KSE vids on youtube..

Yeah man, definatley have a blast if your in a metal sorta mood sometime ;)

I just filled out an application for my futher education after the age of 16 ;) Taking a performing arts and music course. It teaches you all about promotion of music and you have to create your own demo CD package. it seems really interesting, have to create a wide variety of compistions aswell, including classical/spanish stuff :P

 Dang your school must be an advanced school.

You think? Doesn't seem to be to me

Well, thats pretty crazy, I don't think we are offered anything like that in High school in the states.

So you write your own songs? I can write a few riffs or licks, but trying to piece things together so it transitions well is hard (also solos are a pain in the ass).

The man speaks the truth:tup:

JordanP19's band is pretty good =)
I'd like to be in one but got no motivation whatsoever lol.
I agree with the transitions I believe those are pretty tough for me as well.

Anyone here likes old school black metal? Like Cryptopsy? Miss Lord Worm very much

I think its the course thats offered for schools over the country, or they all get something similar. Recently the school did just spend some money on Apple Macs with Logic Pro so maybe that allows us to do all the new options :)

As for the transitions I'm not really sure what advice I can give you! But I haven't had to much of a go with Solos yet...

And as for that song, yes I do like it :P The music is real cool, the lyrics are the thing I find weird with those sorts of songs

I've started to listen to a little bit of Iron Maiden and Metallica recently. I like them both so far and I will have to get my hands on some more of their material.

I am trying to think of another band to! There are like some of these norwegian (sorry, I know its spelt wrong  ) Black Metal bands. All there videos seem to be in the woods. They do quite good music like that :P

Anybody ever heard of Sirens & Sailors?
http://www.myspace.com/sirensandsailorsny

Everybody who likes/loves Metalcore/Deathcore/Post - Hardcore or maybe some of you Metalheads should give them a try. Listen to them since 2 Weeks and I've stuck to this band/album.

And So I wanted to show it to you guys, and maybe some of you will might even like it :)

Hey they are pretty good :)
Reminds me a lot of like Winston McCall's vox from Parkway Drive.
Im open into any metal as well the hardcore scene. But RIP 2006-2008 HxC. Many of these hardcore bands now are ripping each other off most of the time. In my case it is. But I still love Hardcore, deathcore, metalcore :)

But man this band is one of the best. Will always stick out of the rest of the deathcore crowd.

Quite nice, but for me it's nothing special.
Deathcore with Keys isn't smth. new in the Scene.

Arsonists Get All The Girls or IWrestledABearOnce are also using keys :)
Still quite good for DC. But for me nothings better than Despised Icon and All Shall Perish in DC.... and Animosity ^^

Man I cant believe I forgot about Despised Icon and All Shall Perish :indiff:
All of Despised Icon's albums were great even Day Of Mourning and All Shall Perish, one of the originals of DC I believe. Glad I went to Despised Icons final US tour.

Oh and what do you mean by keys? Are you talking about in scales?

No... with keys I mean Syntheziser in Metal in General ;)

And yes All Shall Perish and Animosity are like the grandfathers of Deathcore.
