The next tuner challenge..

I didn't forget VTC. Infact, if we go back to the earlier categories, my Celica GT-Two chopped your Bellett, then your GNX chopped my Celica GT-Four. :) So it was 1-1 in that sector.
As for TCv3, it hasn't been the best performance by me thus far, even though I still think that Silvia is the bee's knees. If it's down to T1 times, in FWD we're split on the judges, RWD you own me and AWD I've got you.....so there's no splitting our performances overall in that light either. Your cars are getting better in handling each time though, no doubt about that. ;)

So, let's go for a grudge race.

I suggest somewhere where it's not our home test track.....GVS is a cakewalk for you and I'll be honest, I'm a Le Sarthe/Nurburgring fan where my gearing is a factor.

And then in VTC there was my C1 which did well, my C3 which did well, my Spitfire which won, and as you said my GNX which was cool. I suggest London for the Grudge Match.

London?? :odd:

*wonders if you mean Trial Mountain or settle it at roj's house.*

Roj lives 250miles north of London.

Come to Trial Mountain though by all means. I'll be waiting, watching you two. :sly:

Yeah, that's fine. I'd say a 3kg/hp limit would be good. That way you've got 900kg cars with 300hp, 1200kg with 400hp and so on.

Any specific drive platform you have in mind?? I don't mind a bit of RWD action again but I'm cool with whatever. :D

So, in summary:

Trial Mountain (I reckon Fuji 80's for a backup. :D)
3kg/hp limit
RWD (FR, MR, RR)

Put the set-ups on here, and let other people test our cars head to head. The testers go to their favourite track and pit our cars against eachother.

By doing it this way, you can see the advantages between the cars on different tracks. For example, your car might be good at GVS, but not that great at Motegi and my car might be good at Motegi but not at GVS. :)

Whoa whoa whoa! hold your horses, you two! This thread is reserved for tuner challenge discussion, not for personal grudge-matches. Make your own thread, something along the lines of "TC Backstage mayhem" where the drama can continue. either that, or ask Kent about his opinion in this matter. sheesh..:indiff:

Leo, if you go back a couple of pages, Kent said this:

That brings me to the next point...
I had an idea for an on-going tuner challenge spot race and discussion thread.
Entries posted will be reviewed like every other garage around the tuning section but standing lap time records will be posted for every car in the first post.
Since we haven't started that thread yet, and don't know which way Kent was taking it I figured this would be the best place to talk about it.

If you want us to make a seperate thread, no problemo, done. ;)

Alright, my scores are up.

Congratulations to all; good cars, guys. This gave me one really good learning experience.

Hmm, my race-bred godzilla was perfect for one but too much for another.. oh well, can't get them all, can we? that would be boring. Then again, if I would had just de-tuned The Grim R34per, AWD category would belong to me only..:sly:

 Wow, a 2nd place now. :D Just one more judge and I'll get 1st. :sly: (First judge I go 4th, second judge I got 3rd, third judge got 2nd). Come on 4th judge.

Thanks for judging ty00123, it's always a help and much appeciated. 👍 Just remember though, generally speaking you want a car's gears to be as short as possible without making wheelspin or hitting the limiter. That way you get more torque at the wheels and therefore accelerate faster.

The fact you've got me a long way behind in last compared to myself or Holdenboy is a bit weird too but from reading your comments on my car and a few others it seems that you are a button masher, plain and simple and you need to readjust your driving style. :)

Otherwise, thanks for the help dude, seems my beast isn't up your alley.

I can understand someone wanting to rank your car low actually Mafs, let's be honest, it requires a lot more work to drive and will understeer due to no downforce and such high power like the others have/don't have respectively. It was pretty good but there's no way everyone will like it.

Didn't say everyone will like it, and it mustn't have been up his alley. :P But it is a lot better than a 38.xxx time. ;) In saying that though, he's nearly 2 seconds slower than the two of us in every car he tested, I think the closest he got to our times was dimplz Sirion so there's no complaints there from me with it, if it was you getting those times Holdenboy, I'd string you up by the next eucalyptus tree and use you as a pinjata.

Bingo. It just didn't feel right in my hands. (Same way with you and my car, too. Then again, mine wasn't great. :indiff: )

But it is a lot better than a 38.xxx time. ;)
If it's in the 36.xxx range, like you guys say it is, then I will probably go back and re-drive it. Chances are that I won't change scoring, though.

Then again, I'm probably not as good at the game-or this particular course-as you two are. Again, I might go back and drive cars again, especially the bottom 5, but unless I see some drastic improvement somehow, scores aren't going to be changed.

Exactly. My comments were in line with Holdenboy's Ty about your car, and we both ranked you in the bottom 3. ;) Your comments about RJ's car were in line with Holdenboy's, so both of you ranked him very highly compared to myself.

You don't need to re-test the cars, as it's a consistent gap between your times and mine and N4HS's, as you said you mightn't be that great at Citta compared to others. I know I was absolutely crap at Citta before this challenge even started. Now I can do Normal and Reverse like it's the back of my hand. :D Getting used to the track at the same time as getting used to the cars makes tuning a bit more difficult. :)

That makes me feel better...it sounded like you were accusing me of something. No hard feelings intended.:)

And you have it exactly right-I was crap at Citta when I started, too. I still can't do it like the back of my hand, but I'm better at it.

And to mustangGT90210, we could always use another judge for the RWD and AWD categories.

I don't know what is goin' on right now, but I am 100% available to judge a TC for a good while now.

Yep, what he \/ said. Jump in to the current one of you like. I still have the settings for that Mustang GT I sent you months ago too if you want them again. ;)
