Looking forward myself to driving round the 'Ring in a Ferrari. And for the first time ever a Ferrari around the Rome circuit. Just having some Ferrari's in a full GT for the first time in the series is fantastic!

Taking part in 16 player races is also going be absolutely fantastic.... also be interesting to see what community features they have built into the game - and what options are available for creating races etc for online games....

Yep one thing that (thankfully)hasn't bee detailed and disected is the online aspect of the game, something wich is new to the GT series. I remember talk of a race room, a pre race lobby, something similar to TDU race clubhouse.

With the scope of tracks and cars, the physics, tuning, course creator, the different forms of racing should open a whole new face to GT5, one as large as the off line challenges.

GT5P for me got more time played online than it did off line, single player was a way to unlock cars to got online with! The online Racing on GTP was very basic, a handful of tracks with set car limits all aranged into 3 skill tiers, you got thrown in with completly random people and there was no voice coms at any point. But even though all these things made the experience less inviting the actual races were allways epic affairs, especialy on the higher skill set of tracks.

Now with GT5 we should have our cake and get to eat it....online, with friends, and in any permertation we like.

It's great to see some common sense prevail and some rightly deserved positives mentioned for GT5!

I was struggling to find a thread on GTPlanet worth reading anymore but (not that i needed it) this one just makes me look forward to the 24th November more & more!!

As someone who fell away from the gaming scene through GT3 & GT4 pretty much everything is going to be new for me so i really cant see me rating it less than 10/10 having played the demos and already seen the quality is much improved on GT5P!

Considering the hours and hours of fun I have had with GT5P's 5 tracks, I am sure GT5 will not disappoint (me at least.)

The problem is that GT4 set such a high standard (number of cars and tracks), but GT5 offers so much more in other ways.

RDK has been posting some picks from the race replay camera option in game, goto race replay, pause replay, get camera out, position camera, set your camera options and click....photo put on your PS3 HDD, this isn't the super high res photo mode this is in game race replay stuff......here's just a few of my favourites!

you can sound your horn. That's more than enough

Excellent point - together with window wipers and reverse lights I dont know what else I could ever want.

Hopefully in GT6 we can use the indicators. (And these would me modelled perfectly in the in-cockpit view with the proper tick-tock sounds and everything. :)

(I am semi-serious).

:tup:Great pictures! The detail is staggering! Seriously with detail like this how can people complain about the lack of tracks/cars?! How good is it going to be to replay your masterpiece lap on your circuit of choice. Is this game going to epic or what!!! :)

The next week and a bit is going to go...soooooooo slow!

GT5 will be the car game event of this generation make no mistake.....

The new SSR7 will be one of my favorites. Especially after seeing that full lap video with the Citroën GT ...

Other positives for me:
- Cape Ring: another great looking original track.
- Nürburgring 24h course with time/weather change.
- La Sarthe 24h course with time/weather change.
- Côte d'Azur made the cut.
- Online and Course Maker will make the longevity of this game incredibly long.
- More cars than we ever had in a GT game. The standards are pure bonus, they could as well have chosen the path of GT3 and only put the newly modeled cars in. But no, they upscaled everything they had to HD and now provide us with this immense choice of cars 👍
- Gran Turismo Everywhere: simple but ingenious added functionality
- ...

8. Customization. We can paint our cars, paint the wheels, put racing modifications on, etc. This is huge. Sure we don't have a livery editor, but who really needs that anyways? I can put my signature black wheels (of any style I choose) on my cars and paint them hot purple if I so choose. Good times!

You can only paint the wheels on the premiums though. so 800 cars of your will have crappy wheels.

Where is it referring to paint? And it doesn't mean Standard cars can't have different rims purchased and installed either. :dunce: I'm so tired of reading this as fact.

This game is gonna be phenomenal, and I can't wait to fully immerse myself in the GT Universe again.

Jesus H Christ is all I can say about the stills of that 458 and MP4-12C 👍

I knew the graphics were going to be amazing but I didn't realize to this extent! Ok, I know those are taken in some kind of Photo Mode during a replay and the graphics don't quite look like that during in-game footage but they still look bloody good to me :)

Indeed! The piccy with the Fezza in the rain is staggering. Look at the sheen of the road and the spray effect behind the car. This looks almost real.

Lets fact it in-game graphics won't be as detailed as this but TBH you only need detail of this level when you are watching a glorious lap back - or watching a playback of an online race you have just had.

Really looking forward to tinkering with the photo mode too... the images that come out of that are going to be amazing. Looking forward to seeing all the pics that people will post up too.

The other thing I'm looking forward to is the Top Gear test track especially if Clarkson and co get involved with setting times be fun trying to beat them... :)

The 458 in the rain (and DARK) looks stunning but when I first saw the one underneath it, I (honest to God) thought it was a real life photo. It was only later that I realized it was from GT5

Lighting is prety awesome! These images are reduced in size, they are taken in 1080p size in replays, in Photo traveler mode they go up a whole lot and weigh in at a reported 18mp......now that will look stunning! Nice to see the reworked smoke/water spray/dirt effects at work along with skiiiiid marks LOL

People have complained so HARD about the number of cars like the skyline that a bunch of representatives in game. That to me is a HUUGE positive. Why would I only want one or two? I happy I can drive a new one, one made a couple years ago, one made in the 90's, one made in the 80's, and so on. I think its great that long running models have cars from many time periods in the game.

that McLaren mp4-12c looks soooo real..wonder how many just gasm'd besides me at the McLaren pictures at the Nordschleife

Such as..? :odd:

It's a trap a negative has crept in to the posertive thread, close your eyes and count to ten LOL

Quick note to those hiding in here, I;ve ventured out and put myself in mortal negative danger for you guys, Teken 90's posted up some new vids.

Interesting stuff, he's running a standard type civic, vid of him washing it and changeing the oil, repairing damage and scratches and of him painting it.....keep thinking posertive......unfotunatly on that model (or all standard cars?) you couldn't change the wheels or paint them, ok bad news over, on a posertive note paint options had "textures" so could be intertesting, also he went to body modding, not alot in there for the civic he had but there were a number of wings for the back. Oh and most importantly the physics....aparently better than the 350 TT demo.......whoa!

oh yeah the pics that I posted across.....there as they come of the PS3 NOT photoshoped! a few have been photoshoped for examples and they look worse than the originals! also a vid of the photo mode is up, more camera options that most high end Digital SLR camera have!

Btw this is like the only good positive thread, for some reason everyone's hating on the game in a lot of threads

Yeah and there are good reasons for it=) But the graphics are really nice but I really hope that PD has managed to keep that rpg feeling (or I dont really know how to describe the feeling) in GT5

Yeah I know, but it's like no one was really looking at the amazing part of the game, they just brought up every problem. I honestly dont care what they say, im still buying the game, it's gonna set a new standard for racing simulators

Pre release fever has hit, and will continue to get worse closer to the date, saw it on Forza 2 and 3 pre release. So far I've seen the usual "I'm cancelling my per order" a few "It's Ruined" these relate to certain obscure cars not being in "the list" and just now I've come across one user threatening to punch another user in the throat over wheel physics selection.......all very very crazy.

On a posertive note the stig makes an aperance in the game....a physical aperance that is.👍

Yeah. I am getting pretty tired of all the negative crap lately. I think I will take a break from the site and look for something to pass the time until the game gets here.

I still hope that we may end up with some of those missing tracks from GT4 but even if we don't I know it will still be a great game and I will enjoy it for a long time.

Maybe I'll see some of you guys on the track.

Nothing to really do to pass time lol, these last 9 days feel like 9 weeks, and yes, hopefully we get some old tracks from gt4. I still vote for DLC

ummm gt6 anyone ?
gt5 is to gt6 as gt3 was to gt4

im expecting gt6 in 2 years
it will have more tracks and more modern cars judging from the history og the gt series

they have to save somethings for gt6

or of course dlc would solve alot of issues

ot

for me none of the bad news is bad enough for me to not want this game

It's obvious the english language is not your strong suit. Let me make it easier for you with many many many colorful moving pictures. K?
Go to the 1:25 mark and prepare to be pwned as the kiddies say.
