I would like a pace car driver at 75mph for Daytona Superspeedway! The date will be June 30th at 5:45 Eastern, it is two seperate races, a 125 lapper and then a 80 lapper. We only need the car for opening and cautions! Thank you! Much appreciated! Please add "SundayCupLeague". With a message saying Pace Car Driver

I'll add your event to the OP and if nobody else takes it, I should be able to. Do you have a thread for the event on GTPlanet at all?

No, I do not have an event thread at all, it is actually a friends league that I race in. He does not have a thread for it here on GTP. We race custom short tracks(Tokyo Bay). This is the only large track race we do. Thanks for the quick reply!

What would 5:45 eastern (am or pm?) translate to in other time zones? Depending on that it might be possible for me

That is a PM time in the United States Eastern Time Zone which would be 4:45 central in the United States, and one more hour back as you go west. Sorry, I am not sure about over seas if you also need that. I might be able to figure it out.

I hope this can help for time calculations: right now, it's a little more than 20 past 10 pm. In about how long would the event be and for about how long would I be needed?

Eastern Time is GMT -4 and you are GMT +1 right? That would mean you are 5 hours ahead. Even though when you posted this my timestamp says 4:22PM and if you were posting at 10:22PM than it would actually be 6 hours ahead. So 5:45 Eastern would be 10:45PM or 11:45PM for you. They would be doing a total of 205 laps. I'm not sure what they'll be running, but when I did a Daytona 500 with NASCAR cars it took 4 hours with Cautions. I'd be willing to take this one unless you are willing to be online until 3-4AM where you are.

I know I'll be at my dad's place the next two weeks, but 3am is a long time.

I'll just leave a quote Matti made to enrich the world on page 4:

Seems us on this side of the pond like to drive pace cars but only US GT5'ers like to have a pace car in their races lol

Ok, I'll be taking this event. FR already sent to SundayCupLeague.

I will see if I can do the ERA NASCAR series. Not sure yet I'll have to a check my schedule over the next couple of weeks.

If any drivers take even a portion of the 25 Hours that would be good. I could probably get out there myself for when I don't have anyone.

rally, the 4 Hour time isn't firm just yet. I have 1 member asking if I could move it later into the AM, though I'm not sure how much later he wants. I'll get back to you with updates.

If I could get someone for NASCAR tonight that would be amazing.

Can anyone take the Sunday Cup League for this Sunday? Normally I do it, but I'll be at the NASCAR race in New Hampshire during their race. The sooner I know who is taking that, the sooner I can send them the full info which SundayCupLeague has sent me in an attached image form over PSN.

I will see if I can help out with the Fun Cup 25 hours of Spa. I'm not sure what's going on the 20th yet.

EDIT: If I am able to it will probably be a 4 hour stint.

Hi Guys,

WEC (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=278891) could use a safety car later tonight. Race is starting at 10pm BST, track is Le Sarthe 2009 and pace speed would be 130km/h/80mph around the majority however accelerating to around 160km/h/100mph along the straights (Mulsanne and run to Indy) is fine.

We don't run cautions so we're just looking for a pace lap; start procedure is to hold the cars to the start/finish line. So pass back the pack up before Ford Chicane I, then proceed at 40mph through both Ford Chicanes and then pull to the right against the pit wall at the start/finish.

As a final request, in tribute to Allan Simonsen could the car used be a V12 Vantage, wearing a bodykit and in Gulf blue.

Lounge will be memto89 so add him not me, if there are any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks.

I wish I could help but I don't have the requested paint and my schedule is very busy with a SuperGT series I am partaking in about to begin.

Hello Peelster, I'm interested in joining this club :)
I use a Logitech G27 wheel, so it will be much easier for me to maintain a steady speed. I live in London, so I go by the GMT. I will be online almost always in the next month or so, since I am on my Summer holidays; after that, I will be on during weekends and some weekdays. I would like to be an Opener, Escort and Junior Endurance Safety Car driver. Would it be possible to meet today at 23:00 GMT? If not, can we do it tomorrow at the same time?
Cheers, Nilo.

I'd like to withdraw from this club as many events are not in adequate time zones for me to participate. With many events being at night in Eastern time, it's not going to work out for me.

Sorry for causing any disappointment.

Hey everybody, I've found an event for you all!
I know that this probably isn't your cup of tea, but my drift team (Wolfpack) is having a battle with another drift team (FPDC) and we need judges. I assume that since you are willing to help racers, you would be willing too help drifters too. The battle is taking place in an hour or so and I expect it to last between 15 mins and half an hour. You will have to stay still in any car of your choice and see who drifts the best in each round of the competition. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if there is a judging thread that I have completely bypassed, please let me know. Thanks in advance!
Cheers, Nilo.

You got me on the two days I decided to take a break from the computer. Send me a friend request over PSN and we'll work something out.

In case any of you should be able to do it:

Akasaka Grand Prix

I can do it myself, but I thought I'd give the rest of you a chance to say if you want to :)

I might do it if you'd rather race. It really depends on what day you finally decide on. I've added your event to the Event Queue.

Understood, I've removed you from the list.

Sorry, I don't know too much about judging drifting. That sounds like a cool idea for a club similar to this one. Instead of pacing races, they would judge drifting. I don't know how specific the built in points system is in comparison to actual scoring systems used in real life drifting competitions, but if it's anything like how poor the penalty system (with the cutting the engine power) is for cutting corners than there is definite need for human judges. I only drift on rare occasion and as a casual drifter the built in point system seems to work just fine.

The point system is hated by consistent drifters; it does not think about style, angle, smoke, difficulty of the car or speed, it just wants you to get close to the apex while drifting. It is extremely basic. Human judges are required because of tradition, too, though. All Formula Drift events are judged by humans; using a machine to judge a drift makes no sense, as drifting is about pleasing the crowd.
I appreciate the idea. I would have created such a thread myself, had I not thought that it had been created already. I'll look into it...
FR sent. Would you be willing to see how I do today? If possible, around 17:00 GMT? Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Nilo.

Peelster, depending on the date and time for the Grand Prix at Tokyo I should be able to drive the Safety Car.

A request for another SC driver 👍 .

Does the GMT evening work for you? I could also fit bodyguard in as well.

Sorry it took so long for confirmation bodyguard, been a busy week for me.
