No way to share a tune besides screenshotting it and adding in whether or not you widebodied it, what aerodynamics you installed and what your rim diameter is, tire width and offset.

Nothing wrong with them only allowing us to share to PS friends. It’s so annoying trying to match up a tune. I screenshot now instead of going into tune shop with them and calling it out but even with a screenshot sent to them there’s still missing information in the settings page.

Also I display in mph but in settings the transmission only ever display in kmh. PD has somehow managed to build a good game with a TON of flaws. Lol
 
What annoys me a lot is the driver shifting animation. Or at least how the driver reaches down to shift but then never puts his hand back on the steering wheel. Just did a lap around the Nordschleife and watched the replay back from the passenger seat cam, over the entire lap, both hands were on the steering wheel for less than 30sec. Even in top gear going down the straight, one hand just stayed on the gear stick… also when crashing or having a huge slide… just one handed as if it’s nothing… I annoys me that when driving in cockpit view, there’s only one hand on the wheel 95% of the lap…

It’s either exceptional skill or extreme stupidity… at the very least, unrealistic. I hope this either gets fixed, or a option to just turn the arms (or the shifting animation) off.

Have to put on repeat. Sucks that we can’t sell parts or even keep parts that we actually paid for. Yet, we can keep receiving and stock gift parts. Why can’t the parts we buy, be stockpiled as well? Crazy.

When you exceed track limits, it takes the game 20 to 30 seconds to penalize you. Maybe they are trying to simulate the time it takes the race stewards to inform your crew chief and then the info is passed along to you. But it doesn't help the player know where the limits were exceeded.

Well it's definitely longer than needed. Maybe I should have said 3 to 5 corners instead? What gets me is a penalty for a chicane and not knowing if it was for the entrance or exit part, same hold true for bus stops.

Logically speaking, the time delay in issuing penalties is consistent, so it's normally very easy to determine where you went off. I agree it's not always that straightforward (if you make multiple errors in quick succession, for example).

Speaking purely for myself, if a track limit penalty shows up on my screen at "Point Y" of the circuit then I know that means my error was at "Point X".

From what I can tell, the system needs a delay to determine if the appropriate amount of time within several 'micro-splits' was gained to deserve a penalty.

usually the delay is around 9 seconds and when you are in a race, you kinda know when you violate the track limits by now, if not just save replay and when you see the penalty pop up just click on the 10 second rewind and watch carefully at your front tyres, using the pause and frame increase button you can pinpoint where you went outside the limits. remember this spot for future races and learn from it.

Yeah I usually know where I got my pemalty and if I didn’t I have a pretty good idea the whereabouts.
 
This happened to my about a month ago:

Did a run on le mans that would also get me the dailly ticket. I finish the race and got the ticked. It was a 6star.

But when I go to the main menu after the race, the servers went offline. They got back about 5 mins later, but since this is always online game, I lost my 825k from the race and lost the 6star ticket.

Did the race again, but this time I only got a 4star.

In daily races, the matching is demoralizing. As a mid-B, getting in a lobby with A+ drivers is a kick in the gut. How do I have any possibility of winning against my peers, when people who are clearly better are in the group? Makes it hard to keep racing when you know the best you can pull is 5th or 6th.....

I noticed a lot of games do some weird matchmaking. On call of duty, if I play with certain friends I tend to clean house. Usually. But if I play on my own I get absolutely slaughtered except for the odd game. It’s like it throws me in with top notch players for some reason. If we all play, I’m back in the top 3 on my team. Alone, mid pack or worse and feels like I can’t hit anything. Lol

i know you run qualifying or whatever before the daily race. If you run a slow lap do you get put with slower drivers? We e been trying to get into daily races together, only once we managed to be in the same race with each other.
 
No confirmation button on restarting a race. No UI toggle button.

I was 80 minutes into a 90 minute race and restarted my race trying to turn the UI on and off to check the time remaining. My 2nd d-pad press was either ignored or wasn't pressed well enough and it stuck on Restart and I lost all of that time.

I've copied well over 200 tunes at this point. I feel your pain.
 
Kind of annoying that they added the 'owned' check mark but it only applies to the colour you have and not the car model itself. This still leaves a lot of guesswork still when you're browsing the UCD or LCD as you may, for example, have a 2002 Dodge Viper already in your garage and forgot about it and since it's in a different colour than what the UCD is selling, the check mark doesn't appear and you may end up buying it thinking you don't have an '02.

Why does PD mess up such basics?

I haven’t paid attention to this recently, but did they remove the little icon in UCD, LCD and BC that shows whether you already own the car or not? From day 1 I’ve always had a little icon when looking at cars that shows whether I own a car or not, and a few updates ago they took it a step further to show exactly what color(s) it is I already have of said car.
 
I really wish there was another option in VR to see your speed and rpms besides the dash gauges. Once you upgrade the crank or swap a car the gauges become useless and you just have to guess when to shift. You can’t do a top speed tune in vr cuz you just max out the speedo and have no idea how fast you’re going. Also F the reward ticket scheme, 9/10 you end up with $10k. Also wish you could go higher than collector level 50.

They still have the collected icon, and while having the 'owned' icon for colours is great too, my complaint is essentially that there is no icon for the entire car model itself only for the colours which makes it cumbersome to know exactly which cars you own when browsing the dealerships.
 
I’ve been playing around with the livery editor recently. Firstly - this is one of the best additions to the franchise in general.

However - there are several basic features that need to be added

1. The ability to group decals. This giving you the option to move, paint and duplicate multiple decals at once is a must.

2. A tab labeled as ‘recently used’ decals, so you don’t need to type your search out multiple times.

3. The abilty to remove the number plates entirely. It’s annoying having to line up images over the ‘other’ section and ‘body. Or:

4. Have an option to have one image go over multiple ‘editing’ areas somehow. Same as above - when doing the rear of the car - you have to put a decal in and like it up over 3 areas. (Body, window and other)

Once you’ve finished making your livery, you should be able to easily view it under the garage option. The views that cycle through the car mainly show off the interior and you cannot control the view. There should be an option to manually rotate the camera from here to veiw everything. The only way to do this otherwise seems to be opening up the livery editor - even scapes won’t let you pan vertically.

Another related thing: when searching for user generated liveries - we need the option to toggle wide body on/off.
Plus you should be able to apply the wide body modification in this same screen so you don’t have to exit, make the change, then come back and find the livery again.

These would be low priority updates to this game but it would make creating liveries much better.

Bigger priority’s are still: creating a proper GT League that is well overdue.
 
My pet peves...

The rain physics is silly. Its more like ice physics than rain. Nothing worst than being unable to go straight while the AI cars with same slicks get traction and go by you. At times, they also on slicks, run with you on rain tires. Ridiculous.

Traction control is broken. It does work in the rain which is a glaring problem. You can turn it all the way up and its like its totally off even in mild ran at times.

Penalty system is cheap especially in the rain. You get silly penalties even when you on the road and did not go off track. Also, in real life you get track limit warnings before you get penalties. Lets use some realistic common sense on your real driving/racing simulator PD.

Broken pit stopping for AI cars. I've noticed on Le Mans during rain, they will pit the AI Viper and it comes back out on slicks. Utterly broken. I missed the first iteration of this games programming on this track where the Vetter and Viper went at it hard and you were not sure which one will win the AI battle. Now the Viper is programmed to corner much slower, less air/fuel ratio so its much slower so the racing is between those two is dead. Wish PD would pay attention to details like this as it adds to the racing feel.

Low payouts for our custom races. Ridiculous. Why?

Certain cars that are widened get the same size tires front to back. The widened Porsche 930's, for example should have wider tires in the back like the Vipers do.

Racing suspension that's really not racing suspension, ride height-wise. We get everything out of the suspension except the true racing ride height adjustment, visually. Cars like the Gen II Vipers and F 430's, to name a few, suffer badly from this lack of visual lowering. It just kills the visual impact.

Not enough modern cars that are incredibly relevant. In stead we get Subaru's, Silvias, Coppens etc. Where are the 458 Speciale, Pista, Performante, Viper ACR, C8 Z06, C5 Z06, Aston Martin newer cars, Konigseggs etc for street car. For race cars where are far more relevant historic racing cars like the Porsche 935's, Oreca Viper GTSR's, Lister Storms, 993 Porsche GT2's, Vette C5R/C6R, Ferrari 575 GTC Evo etc.

PD formula racing cars don't have the ability to put stickers on tires.

Continuous missing car thumbnails in your garage over time.

If PD wont give us certain cars like the ACR, 935's as stand alone cars, could they just give you the parts in body modification section? They kind of did that with the CSL '73 but they left the rear bumper on...SMH.....The attention to detail in this game is very lacking. Really could have been such a great polished game if Kaz showed even a little of the attention to detail he had with GT4.

I wish they’d let us out white lettering on all the muscle cars.

I wish they‘d give us some slot mags as well.

Recently used decals would be good.

It would be nice to be able to add and remove decals from collection in the livery editor not having to go into showcase and remove them from there.

If I share a livery and it’s editable then whoever downloads my livery and edits it, should be able to also share it. If you don’t want it shared again, don’t make it editable.

Really wish we could change interior colour. Even just to black, grey, tan or white.

I grind daily on the WTC700 at LeMans and I do not see those items as you describe. If you drive in the rain like it is dry then yes you will have those issues, TC is not for the rain so why do you put it on max in rain?
Learn how to drive effectively in the rain and will not see crazy penalties, it won't be like on ice, you should not have problems...

The penalties in the rain is abnormally harsh for that specific race as of one of the 1.3 patches.

If its a pit lane penalty, it can, but normally just a few seconds before the red box appears.
