A bit of a contradiction in the Wiki. It says Oct 27th on the top paragraph but Oct 8th on the sidebar.

Wiki is not known as absolute fact. It's people like us posting info on Wiki. If M$ or T10 were to edit the Wiki page, it would be best.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but ive just recently found an really Old Interview With Kaz where he said some things that actually are in the Whispering Winds...

Fourth wind is talking that birdtamers will reunite in numbers greater than ever and will be granted with ability to talk to each other, make guilds and alliances with undisputed freedom.

Kazunori's going on about the suite of online features: online garage, head to head racing, drift contests, team and club builders, voice chat. It's a lot to shoot for. They admit that not all of this stuff might not be available day one, but expect it to come "soon".

..So this is a really old Wind, so it might be true, right?

Fifth wind says that reunion will happen in two forms, one greater than other and birdtamers will have freedom to decide which reunion they will attend. Greater reunion will ask for great sacrifice to be made in order to get all present and future treasures without new sacrifices needed, while smaller reunion will come in form already known, asking for more sacrifices if future treasures catches the eyes of the birdtamers.

Kaz is pushing the user creation features of GT:HD. Talking about the differences betweek GT:HD Premium and GT:HD Classic. "Over the years we:ve collected massive assets and we've rebuilt those assets in HD".

Why can:t you combine the assets, the features of Classic and Premium and put them into the same game? They did a quick simulation based on that request. Basically, it's a factor of time and that that would take upwards of three years.

I think this kind of another pseudo confirmation of two Versions?....And Three Years...humm...2006+3= 2009, so it might be another hint about Release Date?

I know that was for GTHD, but i dont think Kaz would ditch everything and then say, PD, Gentlemen!...Lets do another GT4 with HD Graphics.

There are some relly good Hints of what we`ll possibly get in GT5, but hey, its Just speculation.

kinda stupid but have you noticed the emergency horn sound in the teaser? (at the beginning and between the rally/nascar scenes) ...and amar talking about the winds blowing... I dont know I thought for an instant that they were connected.

a siren indeed, which could be another sign?. I believe that siren in the trailer represents the "calling" for drivers and cars to gather once again for the release of gt5, i think that a 2009 release is almost certain....

I wouldnt rule it out entirely...The japanese tend to have alot of meaning behind many things they put into there work and not everything can be taken at face value.

Stay calm people, it will come sooner or later, As long as I get my treat of Zelda Spirit Tracks, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts 358/2, I hope KH Birth By sleep, GT mobile and Wii sports resort I should be fine for this year abit but when you think about how many great Games are comming out soon (9months), its sad to see so much anger is going about Sony not releasing GT5, Think about it, I gurantee every single one of you people who are starting to lose patience (Iam too ), but remember this moment 1 week after GT5 launches, and trust me you will think of the pre-launch at a stage like this is the best, so much hype, anticipation and ideas, but once the game is out your presented with whats done, and it will impress im sure of it, but Its like waiting for Xmas as a child the waiting is better then a few days afterwards , you just lose that feeling.
But as I said there are so many Great AA and AAA grade tittles comming out on all systems that GT5 shouldnt even be a worry even if it comes out in march 2010.

Just sit tight and wait out until the TGS trust me 2 and a bit months is not a long wait, its already been 1 month since the E3, and people were anticipaiting it here, 3 months prior to it and that flew by that fast.

If it's anything like GT5p we'll get some info at GameCom germany (replacing Leipzig GDC) before dates at TGS.

GamesCom will be all about GT Mobile, its a convention for gamers and not some developers and publishers meeting like the E3 basicly is. Its important for SONY to get people playing GT Mobile on the new PSP, since the interest in this device has gone down in Europe.
Even the interest in GT Mobile is low, as you can even tell by the viewers and posts here at GTPlanet in the GT Mobile section.

GT5 will be shown at TGS (Tokyo), maybe together with the new PS3 slim (see the parallels to GT Mobile and the PSP ), hopefully announcing a release for Christmas worldwide..

I'm only expecting a new trailer,and some screens,I'm not looking for anything huge like a demo.

I do hope they have the full steering animations in when they do release gameplay vids,it looked good in that early vid of prologue.

Not sure if it has ever been mentioned, but I recently realized that in some cars, that have a temperature display, like the Alfa Romeo Brera, there is a date printed in the screen, of August 1st. Now, the show that replaced Lepizig takes place this year from July 31st, to August 2nd. Now, I many be crazy, but is it possible that maybe, just maybe, the date in the car relates to this show??

That temperature gauge is just PD's OCD attention to detail. As for as news... TGS is your best bet. If not that, then the month before GT5 is released (when that is is anyone's guess).

August 1st was also when we received a GT5 update last year (mainly physics update), I probably doesn't refer to anything.

as we all know it'll be the game ever, pretty much regardless of the features (as we know there will be loads).. this is the part that has interested me the most these months. Would love to know already more about it.

Third tale says that for the first time ever skypaths will not be just solid and already known but that new skypaths will be built by birdtamers from the parts of existing skypaths.

I very much want a Special Anniversary Collectors Edition, and I'll pay whatever it costs.

I still think this means there will be a Premium and Classic version of the game, with 'Premium' coming with a full complement of cars/tracks, and a cheaper 'Classic' version (similar to a new version of Prologue) requiring DLC 'upgrades'... that said, unless the Premium version is mega-expensive, I can't see why anyone would go for the budget version of the game!
