Picked up Madden 25 today along with another controller so my fiancee and I could play. So far I'm really liking everything about the console, I'm glad it's a short work week too so I'll be able to play around with it during my four day weekend.

Yeah just read about the 50hz thing. It could turn out to be a hardware issue which is not solvable without a mobo revision. I hope MS is ready for the storm!

I cannot believe at no point MS thought to test it in the EU with EU settop boxes. Yet again the US=World mentality seems to have occured.

Give them credit. They actually remembered to release it in the EU, and at the same time as NA too. :P

Still no word on how they're gonna solve this problem, or if it's even a priority for them right now.

Not even the whole EU...

One of the poorest attempts of making a joke I've ever seen.

Hardly an attempt on my part, but whatever.

Oh, and editing your previous post to make it seem more like you're adding to my post rather than countering it doesn't change much when I've already quoted what you originally said. At least that's the impression I'm getting from it.

As for getting back on topic, this doesn't really come as much of a surprise.

I kind of think thats a little overboard.
Maybe the uploads should be.rated to.coincide with.the game that is being recorded. Say your uploading gta5 video then your video will be rated M but if you are uploading kinectimals or.whatever then its an e rated video.
Ms can then basically skip m rated videos alltogether.

Still not a lot of action in this thread!

Anybody know the numbers from sales in the US?

Think the UK sales were around 150k from what I read......

To make a joking observation (that you missed entirely and instead decided to point out the obvious about), then comment with a joke GIF (that you also missed) to the effect of noting that you missed the original joke? Yeah. Pretty straightforward.

Of course, I actually caught what he was implying in the first place, so I can't imagine how the statement came off to someone without a sense of humor.

*shrugs*

The biggest problem is that none of you understands my original post, although I even tried to make it look clearer.

One of the more misleading article titles that I've seen in awhile... Should read 'Microsoft requires refundable deposit for 2-day replacement service.'
But you know, that wouldn't generate traffic like a blatantly misleading, sensationalist headline that ignores most of the facts does. Also no mention in the article of what Sony has done for their faulty consoles, which unless I am mistaken is basically the same deal, but without the option to use a deposit to expedite the process, is it not?

I also really like this little gem:
Lee R
So far the Xbox One has seen Microsoft try to take as much money as they can whilst holding as much control as they can over the consumers.
Neutrality in journalism right there.

At the end of the day though, charging implies that it actually costs the customer something. This doesn't, unless you want to keep your faulty device. It doesn't even cost you a deposit if you're willing to wait for a box to arrive. But that evil MS, offering to do expedited replacements for people for free only requiring a deposit to ensure that someone isn't using the process to get a free Xbone... How dare they?

But never let the truth stand in the way of a good story right?

Great work, Microsoft! 👎
How is the way they're doing this bad at all? They're obviously not going to send out Xbox one replacements for free with no deposit or before recieving a faulty unit first.

How would you expect them to handle replacements.
I would have been happy to hear when I called in that they have me the option to pay a deposit to get a new one in 2 days before having to wait around 2 weeks for free.

It shouldn't be faulty in the first place, and if it were having to pay for a swap unit is just ... wrong.

You send your thing, they fix it because a guarantee is purchased with the thing, I can't see how they justify adding costs to the guarantee that came with the retail price in the first place (and if the thing is broken beyond repair, I don't see how they charge you for a new one).

Good thing I don't have to deal with that BS.

They aren't charging you anything. They ask for a deposit and once they get your system, they refund your money and end up giving you a free game.
