Mine just went broke,
...(the other day).... I had been using for a few 10 minute stints, had a break, on return it was gently twitching/rocking L-R. Sending it back to Pagnian for replacement. I've had mine probably 4 months, run up <100 hrs in total.
UPDATE:23/11/2015
My replacement T300 (replaced about 8 months ago) acted up today; upon start up the wheel spun clockwise, then the tension eased off totally, slowly turning anti; then it repeated over and over .... not a good sign. I unplugged it several times; reinstalled the Thrustmaster software, same result. I switched it to ps4 mode then back to pc, still the same issue.
I've got 2wks left of warranty thank goodness. I'm going to sell the 2nd replacement ASAP as I'm done with this wheel and manufacturer and indeed; non direct drive wheels in general.

using a g25 wheel just now for my racing games(ps3 and pc) that I have had for years.
thinking of getting a new wheel now

should i go for a t300rs or a g29
can get a t300rs for £208 new just now, would be going for the shifter and t3pa pedals aswell

should I go for it ?

Yes go for it. Much better than g29 for sure.

No deals on the new Integrale Edition, so it looks like I'll be getting the regular T300 with T3PAs.

Is there quality issues with this wheel/pedals?

I'm wondering the same. I currently have a Logitech G25, which I've used for about seven years or so, working now as good as the day it was purchased. I'm thinking of upgrading to a G29 for PS4, but I understand that the T300RS is more advanced, offers much smoother rotation, and stronger FFB than the somewhat dated G29 technology.

Problem is, about 20% of the reviews left on Amazon are 1-3 stars, complaining about faults developing anywhere between two days and three months, which overall leaves a somewhat bad taste in the mouth (considering my current G25 feels like its been hewn from granite in terms of strength). The G29, I would think, is going to be as relaible as its predecessors, simply being a refinement of the same base technology that powered them. Therefore, I have three areas of concern to ask to help me decide:

1. Is the T300RS so much better than the G29 to be worth considering, taking into account the reliability issues?

2. On the flipside of that, is the T300RS an unreliable wheel? How bad have some of the user experiences of this wheel been from this forum? How easy is it to get technical support/replacement/refunds if it goes belly-up?

3. How much better are the pedals and manual shifter? The G25 pedals are pretty good, in my experience, but the shifter is pretty flimsy and "toy-like", and as I understand it, the G29 shifter is the same, minus the sequential shifter. Are the included T300RS pedals any good, or is the three pedal set a "necessary option", if you see what I mean.

I was rather reluctant to upgrade my wheel from the G25 to the G29 purely because manufacturers/Sony won't allow old wheels to be used (and I probably wouldn't upgrade had the G25 been compatible). I'm aware that little is likely to change, so I will have to upgrade, but given the option to upgrade to a potentially far superior wheel to the G25 and G29 does rather soften the blow. I just need to know if the T300RS is a worthy investment.

Apologies for the frankly essay-like post, but I would like this to be a carefully considered purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.

TL;DR version: is the T300RS any good, will it break, are the pedals and shifter any good. Essentially.

1. Yes, no question. I'm a G27 and T300 owner and I don't think they're even in the same league in terms of the wheel base. The G wheel does come with nicer peripheral things out of the box though. The leather wrapped wheel is much nicer to touch and hold than the regular rubber T300 one. And pedals are better too, but the regular T300 pedals aren't as bad as most people say.

2. It does seem that the T300 wheels are more prone to failure. Mine is about 6 months old and still works like when it was new. I've put it through some pretty hard use. I don't know what the actual failure rate of the wheel is, but you're probably going to have to be a little lucky. The reports of failure aren't going to give you peace of mind, that's for sure. When I use mine, I always have the thought in the back of my mind that it could fail at any time. On the other hand, I've used my G27 for probably like 4 or 5 years and it still worked pretty much perfectly when I replaced it with the T300. That thing was rock solid.

3. I wouldn't worry about the pedals. If you have a G25, you can buy a $20 adapter and use them on the T300. That's what I did, and it works perfectly. But I've never tried the T3PA pedals, so they could be a lot better than the G pedals too for all I know. I also don't think that the regular T300 pedals are as bad as a lot of people say. I'd say that the resistance on the T300 pedals are about 80% the resistance of the G27 pedals. But no clutch unfortunately.

The shifter is much better, again in another league, but more than twice the price of the G29 shifter. I think the quality of the materials is worth the cost over the G29 shifter though. It certainly looks and feels like it should cost twice as much.

While I agree with the first two replies, I wouldn't be so sure about G25 non-compatibility. (I do think the T300 is a worthy investment however)

The USA Thrustmaster customer service phone number, 1 866 889 5036, is no longer working. There is a message on their phone saying if want customer service , use email. My wheel is in their shop and have talked to them numerous times with that number.

If you know of a new number, please post.

I have experience with G25, T3PA and T500 (=identical to T3PA-Pro) pedals.

Basically the non-pro and pro pedals feel almost identical in use. The only real differences are plastic instead of metal pedal arms, clutch is heavier on the non-pros (since you can't flip them) and the plastic heel rest versus metal one. All extremely minor. If you had your eyes closed you wouldn't really be able to tell them apart just on feel (well, the accelerator and brake).

As long as the sturdy plastic pedal arms are not an issue (they seem fine to me, not worried about them bending or breaking) you are just paying more for the Pros to get the ability to flip F1/GT style, and the piece of mind that everything is solid metal and really will last.

P.S. The TH8A is awesome. Worth every penny. Definitely my favorite piece of simracing kit out of everything I own. So much better than the G25 shifter it's not even worth trying to compare them.

So, 2 days ago my t300 doesn1't calibrate properly. The FFB is weaker on the left side. After 1 year without problem with the wheel, it finally got me.

While in slides the wheels push with vigor to the right side, but to the left not at all.

I'm really sad with Thrustmaster, i spend a lot of money with the wheel, shiffter and pedals, now this... if you want to buy a TM wheel, you better think again, seriously, the G29 seens a better choise.

I'm thinking in buy a new servo base, but now i just can't and well.... the chances of it happen again is too big. Almost everyone that has a Tm wheel suffer with some kind of problem.

EDIT: So guys, with the TM control panel the feed back seens to work fine in the forces tests, but not while playing(tried different games), anyone knows if i can reboot the wheel or something like that? Is late, i'm trying to fix the wheel for more than 2 hours now and i have to work... damn you, you ****** french low quality wheels maker. My 7 years old DFGT still works fine, damn you, damn you!

Try contacting thrustmasters tech support on there website, is your wheel up to date on the firmware?

Yes, it is. I can still play with the wheel but the FFB is not right.

I'll try to download a calibration tool, it can calibrate the wheel for a short period of time, hope it last at least while i'm playing, if i have to recalibrate everytime i turn on the wheel, i could live with that(but some people report to after 30min of playing the calibreation gets wiered again).

The Thrustmaster support here in Brazil does'nt exist. a fellow brazillian menber here in GTP had a problem with his T300, he sent the wheel to USA or Canada(not sure) he spent more in the shipping than with the wheel and they sent the wrong servo base...

There's a guy in São Paulo that used to work in TM support, I'mm trying to contact him, let's see.
