Time Trial #54

If you think you have enough room then stretch 6th slightly.. If your getting more than 160 it will be crazy when the front lifts before the first corner :) lol

I was curious if anyone else noticed it. It's not a big problem and only happens once in 3 or 4 laps when i get a descent exit. Also i'm breaking before the crest so front lift is reduced.
I have now discovered my power has shifted so that may be the reason. Changing car for now.

Yeah to be honest i dont worry to much about straightline in this i just focus on nailing that first corner, i also brake slightly for before that crest.. Good luck getting your perfect lap :)

Well just got a 1:16.697 getting closer :) Had a sloppy first sector of only 21.771 but had a massive middle sector of 28.162 :D and the last sector was only a 26.764 because I brake and turned into the last corner a bit too early and it cost me time on the run back up the hill :grumpy:

Sorry alan but am lost here i dont recall saying that am going to re-invent the wheel
Nope you didn't. WightSparky was, using excel (in programming speak, making something that already exists is called reinventing the wheel). Although reinventing the wheel is useful if you're going to find out more about wheels which, it turns out, was what he was doing (making a time calculator which does more than the one i provided). My mention of you was:
Me
It works fine, can't understand what McBride was doing
because it works fine (and I still don't get why):
GTPMcBride
Sorry but i couldnt get it to work.. But thanks for your help its very much appreciated :)
We cool right? :)
By the way this calculator was suggested by the WRS mods for us to calculate our combined lap times in last week's WRS TT. I saw you showed some interest in WRS a few posts back....click on the WRS in my sig to see the GTP_WRS Comprehensive Guide with instructions on how to join. Click on the Div.2 Bronze link to see all the registered members and their status (statii? statuses?). The leaderboards link is this week's TT standings. Come on and join up. It really revitalized my interest in GT5.

 yeah ofcourse i just got lost in this talk do forgive me :)

Just ran a 1:16.674 I completely messed up on the corner before the second tunnel, it cost me around 2 tenths haha!

@BanditKarter22 How are you getting sector times? During the lap it is easy enough to see the first sector spit but I don't see the splits for the 2nd and 3rd on screen. Is this data that you see after your lap somehow?

You can see your splits info from looking at your replay data.

You need to become a manager or a director... then you can sod off home when you feel like it and leave others to do the work :D

Haha tell me about it. I haven't got a day off till next weekend :-( just can't wait to have a full day of relaxing and playing GT

Big thanks to Stotty once again for the tune. It must be a good one as it's got me into the top 1000, which is rare. What a handful though. I haven't used reverse so much in a TT for a long time. I've been following Amo's ghost for inspiration and although he's crossing the start line quicker I'm actually maintaining the gap for the first section, but from the second tunnel he's gone and I'm 4s behind. I don't think I've ever got that last bend right.

Everyone check the leaderboard because I just did a 1:16.515 :D :D :D :D :D :D
So happy! Had a decent first sector, a decent second sector and a barnstormer of a last sector :D I will post the setup I used tomorrow morning but it isn't much different to Stotty's :) Thank you all for your support :)

Great job Bandit 👍 I've watched your replay a few times and fast as that time already is I think you have a few more tenths up your sleeve :)

Thank you everyone, it was great fun to drive and i'm glad I nailed the last sector :sly: A .344 is the theoretical best time if I put all my best sectors together but that would be truly astonishing :)

Am intrested in this WRS.. Is it timetrials? Am part of a website that does no abs an heavy damage, an has race officials etc..Tbh am intrested in any competition aslong its challenging :)

I tried to register Alan but it says my username not right or something

You should consider to join Deadnutsevenracing, link on my sig, some are no ABS drivers, we do not use PP, HP/weight restriction, we use lap time for qualifying. Races are always close from start to finish where race craft decides the winner, no car restriction as well, but we have tire limit, next week we are running 2 tire class in one race, SH and SM at Grand Valley East Reverse, target time 1:14, pick any car you like, reach the target time consistently but not breaking it.
