🤔 Is it 2 millions or 1 million? I think I got 1 million for silver when I tried it first, so now I am confused. Could it be I got 1 for silver and then reward numbers changed after that? I just got gold and 1 million, so it is 2 I would guess in total and could it be reward money is changing depending on first finish?
( It is a bit off topic so my apologies to Admin and all others but I don't know how to reply on post and post it in some other thread? )

400,000 for 5th , 600,000 for 3rd , 1 million for first, do it all on your first race = 2 million :)

McLaren 650S is very interesting in this TT
I made 1'55'698 with optimal time at 1'55'314. Not better than my best time with 458 but very interesting !!!

I did a few laps around Tsukuba to try and improve over my first and only other stint. Did so by moving from 1:09.322 to 1:08.652. The daily ticket then gave me this... Maybe the Universe is sending me a sign to change away from the McLaren 650S at Watkins Glen...

I did switch to the Silvia and set a slightly quicker time. Then the guilt of using a McLaren wheel on a non-McLaren car became too big and I switched back.

What a pleasant lap!
You're a brave man for staying on the brake at the entrance of bus stop.
Does it never spin you out when you touch the sand with the brakes applied?
Thanks. No, it never spins out there. Very occasionally I hit an area/ bump that pushes me out wide, but even that is rare.

I'm glad to see that not everyone uses the Silvia. I tried with the McLaren 650S but not long enough to beat my time with the Ferrari 458. But my optimal time with the McLaren was better. I think that in the next few days I will use the McLaren more, although I would like to improve my time with the Ferrari even more. But I won't use the Silvia because I can't get close to my best lap. I hate this Silvia 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Congratulations to you my friend for this super clean trick and especially congratulations for not having used the Silvia like all the others 👏👏👏💪💪

Good morning and Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads!

After a number of first lap resets I managed to string a few laps together, mainly to try and optimize the last sector which was letting me down.

Net result is a very consistent sector 4 and have managed a lap that is very close to my optimal in the McLaren - super pleased with this lap which has a PB in sectors 1 & 2 and a solid sector 4. In theory I think there may be a tenth and a half left but it might take me another week to find it 😂

Sorry @Gomario JSP the scoundrel in me has a prevailed! I intended to just do a few laps at the Glen but the scalpel sharp precision needed there was missing so I bailed for some slidey splashy fun at TTTsukuba. Like @sdi_03 i use ABS weak there and it does seem to make a difference. This session did give me a newfound appreciation for this combo and actually how you can drive quite delicately round rather than the bull in china shop approach I’d been using previously, playing with brake force has been fun and again a new skill to develop!

God dam* Dan...... I already had the champagne out, party hats all over the place, I can smell the victory royal..... but I can't touch it 🤣......
That must have been one hell of a lap there Dan! Nice!, I have no hope I will ever win, but I'm honored to be a little close sometimes 😁

I had kind of the same on WG today, after this morning the focus was gone, so decided to try with wich car I could gold it 🤣, I thought I'll take a minimum of 56 flat ... due to the 56.3 for gold at the moment.

This current list...

Corvette
Mega Trophy
Huracan
Veyron
Swift
Silvia
F type
G70
Toyota 86
Cayman
Ferrari

Most easy for me, Silvia 100%, then the F type
Veyron was kind of steady to!
G70 feels heavy, maby because it is 🤣
The Megane surprised me, very planted
The huracan rotates good but is a real pain in the butt at the busstop, steering and lifting/breaking equals going orbit....

The worst of the above was the Swift.... it's al good until you apply throttle..... it has like 300% torque understeer 🤣🤣

The 86 was VERY playfull especially uphill and drifts nicely 🤣

I'm beginning to think that gold (as for now) is doable in all , but Silvia still the fastest, but for done now because of F1 😁

Tsukuba was interesting to me at the start, but I found it hard to be consistent there, especially on brake input (playing on a controller), which seemed crucial here. Got a 1:09.180 and decided against coming back to it since.

Watkins Glen on the other hand is a lot of fun. I started with Jag initially, but then switched to Silvia and managed to lower my time from low 1:55 to 1:54.636, which is around 1.5% off the top time. Interestingly I am still not sold on how Silvia drives - enjoyed driving Jag and Mclaren more, but could never get close to the Silvia time.

I went ahead and invited some people who were posting their PSNs here. Thanks to everyone who accepted, it is great to have a benchmark. @Evilmuffin improving his time by a couple of tenths over last days encouraged me to push myself further at Watkins :D

Is the Nissan GT-R Gr.4 a possible choice ? I won one today, hence my question.
I had a five lap run in it to check. Fast enough to get gold as I got a 56.0 and a 55.6 with a slight penalty at the bus stop. Good grip and good over the bumps, but the gearing is very long so it seems to lose a bunch of time in the first sector.

I tried the GT-R this morning, it's absolutely capable, rotates quite good but you have to get used tot the gearing maby like @Carlos Fandango said, and it's very predictable.
Did have the feeling it mist some power on the higher revs but all in all ready for gold but nowere near je jag and Silvia imo.

expended the gold list this morning with...

WRX - didn't like it, understeery on throttle, and lack of power in the higher revs, just isn't for my driving style i guess, altho Sardegna TT was on fire with it.

Alfa 155 - could not get it right, then realised it was on wets.... :banghead: , easy car on RH's  good option!
rotates good, gearing is nice and no problem in the busstop

Ford Mustang - Quick, lots of low end power, but be aware on throttle for the "late-ish" oversteer, IT WILL COME
So the heel and toe..... Caution

Nissan GTR - good rotation, also under breaking, maby some power lacking on the higher revs for my liking, but steady option, very predictable

Mazda Atenza - Fast!, surprised me a lot!, nice gearing, rotates easy, only problem what i had was turn 10 quite some understeer there, but i think i can get a real descent time with it

To be continued :-)

* btw, PD should make the option to swich car during the TT possible, and i had loved to see my best times with each car.... :irked:
instead of "only" the PB overall

What a fantastic job you did !!! 👏👏💪💪
Like what it's not just Silvia with whom we get gold. I got gold with the 458 and the McLaren and since I'm not an alien, that will be enough for me. I failed to adapt to the Silvia. 🤮🤮
I think the Mazda and Nissan options are very interesting as is the 458 and the McLaren. Thanks to you my friend for trying other cars and showing that it's not just the Silvia

Thanks :), it is kind of fun to try different cars and see there different handling, but they are kind of close,
Most of the time it's not for me to try them all cause i'want to improve my time with the best car i have, with all those fast guys here you have to try to keep up a bit, but some have turned into real aliens here :banghead::lol:,
but thought i give it a try because of the already descent time i had set so early.

But don't be fooled, i have a lot of km's already, yesterday about 500 alone, the circuit is 3.5 km long according to WIKI...

And it wasn't only yesterday , oh but it has to be minus the deep forrest race 8x 4.25km= 34
So around 466 km on Watkins is approx. 133 laps :banghead::irked::lol::lol:

A little bit of improvement at the Glenn, currently 1:56.511, still 0,2s off the (today) gold.
I'm staying with the Silvia even though I like to think that I can make it with the 458 too.
I gave it a go yesterday but the different driving seat position (I'm unsing cockpit view) threw me off with trajectories and track limits, therefore I decided to stay with Silvia.

I need to nail better the 4-5 upshift timing and approach bettere each and every turn, but the one I still struggle to understand is the Toe. I really need to watch more in detail what the good ones do.
I also understood that the last 2 turns have more room availble on the inside to put wheel outside the curb.
I feel gold is doable (Ideal 55,9), unless some alien kills the current #1 time.

looks like the first lap will always be slow due to where you start so always put in a first lap before a flyer; anyone else found that?
I have mixed feeling about that: if I'm in rithm it's probably like you say, but since the last turn is one of my favorite double-screw off turns (current and next lap), I find it statistically more usefull to restart and use the last turn as a launching point, so that I'm more able to get it at the right speed for my capabilities. That will make the last turn a single-screw off turn, I guess :ouch:

I understand that this comment doens't apply to higher level drivers.

I have to agree with you, that statement was made after about five laps and to be honest I hadn't got used to the fact that you immediately have to shift into third at the start to get the best run into the final turn. The amount of time trials recently we get released at odd/stupid times (I think every other start at Fuji I'd immediately run off the track or spin out!!).

Yes, agree, and Grand Valley too where there was still a good amount of turns. Someting like a 25s run for a 1:15 lap...
