TT #45: 550PP Italian Cars: Monza Circuit/400PP Mazda Raceway Laguna

Maybe the car is mounting the curbs better with the front raised as it is. Either way the recent update should fix this ride height issue.

has update 2.08 effected the ride height bug just like to know don't wanna waste an hour finding out i should now be running a low front end:ill::ill::ill:

I'm regretting not putting in a few more laps yesterday
I could have managed .2 or .3 with Lorenzo's beast !

Wondering will the update cause the car to lose some potential even with an adjusted tune ?:ill:

I golded on Monza using this, so thanks. Bizarrely, I then went back to the old Lambo event, to have a last attempt at cracking the Nurburgring (previous best bronze), forgot to change settings and golded the Ring using your settings, including Sports Hard tyres - so thanks again!

My car (Suzuki GSX) handles pretty much like it did yesturday before the update with the tune I posted. Tried reversing the ride height from my original setting and it started pushing like a dump truck. Sticking with my tune as I was still gaining time on certain parts of the track.

Cool, I also saw rbauch just improved.
Maybe all our tunes won't be completely obsolete after all :D

Looks like I'm fighting a losing battle with the top 10 on my friends list as all but one of them is using that light red monster of a car. I've asked the owner 2 or 3 times if I could borrow it only to be ignored. Ah well, I'll just make due with what I've got.

550bhp...
Step 1) Transmission put the final gear all to the right.
Step 2) Put the top speed all the way to the left / min speed
Step 3) insert the transmission number in each gear.
Step 4) adjust the final gear to the top speed of your car on the track

i cant understand what my problem is, but i cant adjust all gears in the way you said before.

Just play with final gear & top speed sliders bit.

Step 1) Transmission put the final gear all to the right.
Step 2) Put the top speed all the way to the left / min speed
Step2.1) Move finalgear 4400
Step2.2)Click topspeed one right and back to left

Step 3) insert the transmission number in each gear.
Step 4) adjust the final gear to the top speed of your car on the track

Someone can correct me if I'm totaly wrong about that but thats how I get those match :)

Finally unlocked the gsx r whats the best setup everyone is using for laguna ?
Cheers

This seems to be working for some 👍

Was up on my time by almost half a second and blew it on the last turn at Laguna. Went in a bit too hot and off into the sand I went. Pretty disheartening but at least I know I can do it. Will give it another try later today.

What setup are you using cargorat?

Has anyone tried to see if they can gold this with an unlikely contender? I bought an old Karmann Ghia type 1 and modded it to the hilt, just cracking 400pp. Then I took it out and drove it like a Porsche, and after a bit of tuning posted a 1:50 at Laguna Seca. THAT was fun! With the slip angles I was getting on some of the corners, I might have to try drifting with this car.

Ive used quite a few cars and managed to set a gold time as until yesterday I hadn't unlocked the gsx r, I think I first golded with a honda civic and then with lupo gti sure theres loads more ive used just cant remember which.

The one I posted in this thread earlier. It works just the same, or even a tad better, after the update. Just scan back thru this thread a page or two, its in here somewhere.

I know I have a tune posted for the GTX-R, but I used my Dodge Ram to get the gold. 1:48.xxx. Very fun :dopey:

Cheers CargoRat I'll give it a go now this setup with clean oil or should I leave it as it is?

I almost got it with the Merc 300 SL (from a previous Car of the Week) with some ballast - was .053 from gold but then just hit the wall. I was ahead of my ghost but kept screwing up the last-but-one right hander. Should have been easy:banghead:

I got frustrated and then did the gold in a Lancia Delta HF Integrale - I could four wheel drift that pesky corner and not worry too much about the line.

I would leave it as is. My car is a zero mile car with no initial oil change. I'm down on hp compared to most on my friends list of whom are all using a car with dirty oil with about 128 or 129hp. Still can't get ahold of that car so I'm just making due with what I've got.

R right i've left mine as it is only done 100 miles or so. Struggling now tho down to a 1.43.3 but I can go 0.5sec faster in sector 1 just lose it in sector 2 :/ cant get to grips with the left hander before the corkscrew either drift off into the gravel or go way too slow. Tunes working good tho cheers :)

found out why I was suffering so much understeer the accelerator was left open @ 3-5% all the time all sorted now lets race:):):)

Does anybody have a dirty oiled GSX I can borrow, I have a 1'41.6 with clean oil at the moment but I know how useful an extra couple of HP can be on this game.

Would be grateful with the help, the best I can see with my car is only a 1'41.4 and I know I should be able to go quicker wit a car that has been ran in :)

Finally got my hands on a GSX-R from a friend tried it awhile ago and gave myself 10laps to feel the car and try to set a good time.

I was previously using an Elise 111R since my personal GSX-R can only be jolted down to 401pp as i installed a stage 3 engine tuning on it and of course it cant be re-done.

So here i was trying to get a good feel of the car for the 1st 2 laps and then all of a sudden i just felt like i can already push this thing. So there i was trying to get a pretty decent lap time then it started going faster and faster.

RESULTS:

Elise 111R time - 1'43'465
GSX-R time (within 10laps) - 1'41'846

Quite happy with these results and will try to further push it in the next coming days before the event closes.

Thanks for reposting these tunes guys. I had twiddled with them and now reset them to what you posted. Saved me from digging around to find them. I broke my record twice last night, one with each tune.

@CargoRat, I increased the final gear to get 113 or FG 4.739 and it seemed to make a difference in how the car drove overall. Never seen such a big difference like that before.

So thanks again guys!
