TT No. 50 - Lotus 480PP & 400PP

Fair enough. It would be a hell of a slide from that one to the next L/h corner.

Actually it's the 3rd corner, R/hander, where I make most mistakes, missing the best line. When I get it right it it feels great.

Let me know if you need your car back. By the way, how does that work? Do you just take it back when you want it? What are the protocols here for handing/taking back, loaners?

Use it when you want, 24/7...it will be always online :) and good luck!

Congratulations hope i can join you in the 57 club

Cargorats car:grumpy: has gone think he my be having tech problems ie ps3 is dead
Can someone loan me a 129bhp gsx please 👍👍 don't wanna give up on the top ten is so close .095 lol

Thanks.

Yes your close. Good luck with your mission.

I got one on share, just add GTP_JK83 👍

Can i add you too?

Thanks in advance 👍

Hey guys. Been having problems with my PS3 the last few days so I can't help anyone at the moment. In the process of trying to fix it (don't really know what the problem is) and when I do, I'll be back. Looks like JK has got things covered anyway. Again, my apologies for the inconvienence and hope to be back soon.

You don't have to apologies. Nothing you can do about it. Good luck with it

That's the same problem I've had for the past few days, I know I can get at least a .7 if I can keep my act together in the first 2 sectors but I seem to nearly perfect the last one almost every lap, catching Yinato by at least .03 and even as much as .12 there!

Once you reach a curtain point, it's hard to beat your time. Everything got to be spot on. The slightest bit of unbalance in the car and your lap is ruined. Good luck.

👍 Nice Lap,

I just joined the semi-elite group of sub-58.056's :cool::cool:
BB 1/0 & I only brake on T1 ~45%

I was in that semi group quit some time. But it just don't feels the same

You probably gonna beat me. If i look at you results from the past. Already a couple of top ten spots and a few close to it 👍

Thats just racing tech problems all the way hope your back soon dude:tup:

I am thinking of getting a second wheel just in case of problems during the gt academy 2013 very expensive though hope i dont need a spare ps3 too:ouch:

I don't know, I watched your replay, that's an awesome lap you've done.

bb 0 gotta try this 💡
Its not actually zero brake force though. (The car still stops with BB 0/0)
For me BB:1/0, It makes T1 so smoooth & reliable

deffo try this when i get back in a dirty oil car iam stuck on a 22.8 first sector so if i did a 22.6 id be 6-8th lol

Tried my clean oil 125 hp car today and did a 58.226 so dirty oil isn't worth as much as you'd think but you need it for a t10:tup:

A week away on business and I'd slipped back to the 70's :(

Couldn't really get any more out of the previous tune (it was at the limit of front end grip) so built a new car without chassis strengthening and re-worked the tune. To me, this one feels nicer than the last one.

Down to a 1:21.912 for 35th, but it will go a few 10ths faster than that if I could hook a lap up...

Thanks. But you got to agree my T1 sucks. Did about 10 laps previous low .7xx :banghead:

I used 2/1 BB. Gonna try yours aswell.

Hi Stotty, I've managed to do a 1:21:916 using your first tune. This night I'll give a try to this new one. Thanks for share!

Thanks for adding me sir Stotty, yesterday I borrowed your car and managed 1.22.7xx, with your new setup I hope to improve.

Thanks 👍:)

...

Great stuff mate, I was able to improve my time with your first setup by 1.5s, now I'm down to 1.23.1xx. The only thing is I'm using a DS3, and this is about the same time you said you could make with a DS3 as well. Anyone out there under 1.23.xxx with Stotty's tune using a DS3? I wonder if I'll need a different tune for the DS3.

For Doodle: do you care to share your tune? :) I'll try Stotty's newest tune in the meantime. Too bad I suck at tunning in this game (and at driving as well, but that's a totally different story, lol)

Thanks guys.

Finally managed to get 3 decent sectors in the same lap... 1:21.577 for 19th :D

.7 is a great time Dan 👍

Was shocked when my .5 came up as it wasn't a particularly good T1... I just nailed the off camber left in T2 that I normally lose loads of time in and then hit a great T3... felt like a bit of a fluke

Yinato's lap is pretty awesome... he nails every corner.

Decided to give the Elise a rest and have a go at Suzuka, using Numbnuts tune, although couldn't get anywhere near his gearing for some reason.

Wow,a week away and everyones improving - Gr8 job 👍

To set the gearing-reset to default, final ratio all the way to the left(3.000),adjust top speed to 112mph(180 kph)then adjust gears as required.

Great time, I was using your old tune but with 200 ballast at 24 and 5 rear wing and also the high rpm turbo - for a 1'22.08x
I found the acceleration was quicker even with the lowered power to weight ratio on the back and start/finish straights.
Gonna give your new tune a try, cheers for posting.
Im pretty sure yinato is using the turbo from watching his replay - maybe you could go even quicker with it. The extra ballast seems to help keeping the back in check even with less wing. Great lap by the way.

He's not using a turbo - his car has the same straight line speed as mine and in any case, you'd be able to see the boost gauge in his replay if he was. On a TT like this one there's little advantage to having more power - the track is pretty tight and twisty so favours handling over outright speed.

Does look like he's using the standard 111r 04 though... which is what I set my 21.5 in (with the tune above). The standard car makes slightly different power and weight and the gearing is different.

1'21.543.. 18th :D

Nice time buddy 👍

Was gonna run a few more today but my internet connection was down at home, so I'm done with this one as I'm now away until next Sunday.

Cheers Chris.. He is using a turbo as I watched his lap earlier.
I tried the turbo on my car along with the engine tuning but then struggled for traction in 2nd gear. 👍

Really? Must have missed it when I was looking at his replay then... but having spent quite a while following his ghost I don't think it adds anything. He might be faster over the lap, but it's not because his car is any faster as I can match his straight line speed... more a result of him being a faster driver!

Ah right, I missed that he was in the standard car - I've been in the premium model, so might give that a try hopefully can find some more time.

Yeah the turbo gauge is on in the bottom corner of his replay if you click 'remove onscreen data'

With the turbo on it increases the torque quite significantly rather than the outright power - which helps acceleration out of the corners even with the increased weight.
When I put it on I went a couple of tenths quicker - and with the increased weight it seemed to increase handling in that I could run with less rear wing. Probably not going to make a drastic increase and seeing as Im using the premium model might not change anything in the standard lol, but might be worth a try in any case.

I'm not convinced it helps... as I said, I've followed his ghost for a lot of laps and I don't lose anything to him in a straight line, only in the corners. If his car was accelerating faster than mine I'd expect to see his ghost ahead of me on the run to turn one, and I can match him there.

Ah ok fair. Do you know if the standard is faster than the premium model? As I only have the premium.

I think the standard car is fractionally faster... you can get c.259bhp vs c.251 with the same mods as the premium car... though it weighs a bit more.

IIRC, I ended up at 255bhp and 918kg with rear wing at 15, or something very close to that (can't check as I'm away from home). If I'd have thought of it sooner I'd have given it more of a controlled comparrison.

BTW, anyone on my friends list can try the standard car... it's the orange one. It's quite loose though, and needs to be driven very precisely, so I'd not advise it for DS3 users :D

Another thought... as I'm away, if anyone does borrow the standard car, feel free to post the settings here - almost all are exactly as the 2nd set I posted on this thread, but I think it's using a bit more rear wing and the gears are definitely different as the standard car has different ratios to the premium version. I really like the way it handles, but I am using active steering on this one. Dan (HyperDan) tried it and said it was too loose for him, but that's probably because he's a real man and doesn't use active steering, rather than an understeer loving girl ;)

Looks like Amo is trying to come back into the picture of the time trials. He's already in 12th at Suzuka and 20th at Autumn Ring.
