I'm not on my PS3 right now, but can you elaborate please? does he drift in sideways?!?!

Pretty much.... He uses a lot of handbrake right before the turn and he's in a big slide at the beginning of the turn

@ Roomboter I think it's definately beneficial to tune yourself as you are the individual driving the car. As a starting point its great to use somebody elses tune but u can't depend on it to work for you. Like everything in life it's about finding the right balance. Once you get used to what settings you need to change your intuition gets better and you get a feel for what does what. For example I couldn't get the back to come out on the subaru in the first twisty section so I put some downforce on the front end which helped but then I was losing some grip out of the corners so I lowered the camber on the back wheels but then I was not so fast through the faster longer corners so I adjusted the differential to tighten it up a bit on the back wheels. It's really all about messing around but if you never do it you will never get better I guess :) The first few time trials it was taking me until near the end of the time trial to get the tune right but now my intuition takes over more and I can get it right half way through which gives more time to climb the leaderboard. I imagine the guys at the top get the tune right on the first day and then just keeping nailing laps and eventually your gonna get it right. Unfortunately it doesn't matter how much you nail a lap if your tune is wrong it's not gonna be fast enough and that can be frustrating!

i know what you mean but still. It takes to much time to find it out al out for yourself. I just want t drive. Wish the TT's where like in the Prologue time. Just a car and tires and lets drive. Think leaders board will look a bit different. Sometimes i don't feel a thing when i change something. I notice some changes is sector times and lap times and it's always losing time. Somethings i figured out and really feels different. LSD i figured out and playing with the ballast to front of rear and the downforce part is no problem. But all the other things. Sometimes the springs will work. But dampers camber toe is a no go area for me.

Same here.

I'm starting in tuning with this great thread bring to us for the grat eclipsee

Thanks, that might help me. That i never saw that topic. I run a WRS once in a while, if i like the combo.

Just better my time with the RX and was a bit faster then my target time and still heva the feeling i can go a bit faster. P30 atm with a 38.4xx

Thanks Chris. I now copied your tune and parts exactly like you posted. Tried your tune on on old RX-8 in my garage, just to feel the handling. Had drove about 30 laps with it over the past 3 days and did 39 blank with about 5 times and one 38.9xx. Just got in with a new car and the felt even better and knocked of half a second. Could not believe my eyes when i saw those splits times among the way. Got a bit :nervous: and lost a bit in the final chicane for sure. Still have check my splits. Happy so far :)

The Trial Mountain TT is so frustrating. Hard to get it together on one lap. I normally end up doing either good first 3 sectors and messed up last sector or fast last sector and poor first part of lap. The latter is summary of my current lap, very scruffy first part, 3rd sector very costly but nailed last corner because I knew I won't improve unless I carry insane amount of speed. I feel I have not done the setup I'm using justice, so I will try and share it if I can if Amaury gives permission as it shares bits of his setup but very different in handling. I think I could do a time faster than current fastest if I spend more time or get lucky but I don't have any more time for this TT so someone else may be able to do it with setup if I'm allowed to post it.

yes do not pay attention to my first part I totally rate should not slip
Hi Amaury, can I post setup for RX8, shares same gearing, ride height, camber, toe and LSD from your setup? Other parts are different. Might help you improve your time too if you try setup.

Some nice times being set people 👍

Thanks for posting the set-ups guys-much appreciated.

Nice to see a couple of cars being competitive rather than just the 1.

Haven't had chance to set a quicker time yet but hopefully gonna have a go on the weeekend.

Have a gr8 xmas and a happy new year :)

If I don't see you u through the week,I'll see you through't window

EDIT;used pmjgs rx8 and improved by a tenth or 2,then used Stottys and improved by a few more 👍

thanks for sharing fellas. :)

I'd almost forgotten the RX8 TT with the newer Holiday events.

Had another session and improved from a 1:38.207 to 1:37.845 for 8th :D

I think that's me done with this one.

Congrats! I hope you stay in the top 10 :)

Thanks buddy... never had a top 10 (I think my best is 25th), so it would be nice :)

I know there's another couple of tenths in me, but I'm not sure I have the patience to chase them down when the C7 TT is there... we'll see ;)

Impressive lap and position 👍

That top 10 place seems reasonably safe, I barely moved 5 places in a few days around 250th ish, so with everyone concentrating on the C7 TT, you should be fairly safe ... And I might sneak top 150! Good tune by the way too Stotty, shaved a good half a second off within a couple of laps.

Nice very nice 👍 Top 10 finish is within reach. With X-mas coming up, many probably not gonna race anymore.

Did you change your tune?

Santa was so kind to gave me a capture card. This is the first video i made. Hope you like it

Thanks for racing guys

Nice video... and super smooth lap 👍

How does the card work?
