Series starts on the 27th of January. The Christmas special is in February, at the end of that series I imagine.

Is this confirmed? I mean where is the Christmas special that airs before the season starts?

As I mentioned before the series starts again on January 27th and later in the magazine it says:
Anyway for the Christmas special (inexplicably scheduled for transmission in February)
Along with this video posted by James on the Top Gear website. So it appears that the Christmas special will be broadcast partway through the six episode series.

So i got the latest Topgear mag today with a preview of the new series and the special...not going to give too much away but it all looks promissing..the special, as always, involves the trio buying second hand cars and driving the across a few countries..and in the past Topgear have staged some pretty epic races, like the Veyron v plane and GT-R v Bullet train, then they sort of stopped doing them, probably because they ran out of things to race/race against..the TG race will return in the next series! 👍

GT-R v Bullet train

I loved that one. Particularly when they didn't bother learning that etiquette is very different in Japan and angered a train full of people by talking on the phone. And Richard trying to find something to eat as he doesn't like fish.

Thats was really close as well! Jezza was only 2/3 mins ahead of Hammond and May!..we will have to wait and see if this one is as good, it says in the mag what car Jezza drives and what the other two use..but i wont say it here as i dont want to give it away..unless you guys want me to??

I like to think that it was the main reason they chose Japan.

They have shots of the new series on the website which I just had a peak at. I can only hope this Christmas special is better than the previous one. The TG race looks interesting though given the choice of car. Just gotta wait 3 weeks now.

Did I hear the trailer right? Did they imply that they will air Series 19 internationally along side the UK?

Foxtel's BBC Knowledge, is saying its fast tracking the episodes, hopefully that's less than a day or so, all depends how the content can be sold, fingers crossed, would be awesome to watch episodes on TV for a change

The train part is certainly correct. A Japanese guy got on the train and stood next to me. His phone started ringing very loudly and he didn't turn it off. It was ringing for ages and some old woman gave me the evil eye. I didn't even have a phone on me at the time.

...which will mean all of us Aussies who only have free-to-air TV (and don't like downloading pirated TV shows) will have to wait for months until Channel 9 shows it's 1 and a half hour episodes (the extra half an hour for ads) at about 10pm due to being delayed after some rubbish reality TV show like The Block... or even worse, repeats of Two and a Half Men.

Channel Nine, late, old, and rubbish, the epitome of 'condensed resin incompetence', they're so bad its amazing, I'd party when they go bust, except for all of those poor people that'll lose their jobs from that dying vinegared milk cow. It's not like they used to be good either, they were just, idk, on time, and with an occassionally good show.

Maybe find a friend who would be willing to have you over when it's on *cough* their laptop *cough*.
