Very much looking forward to tonights episode, the races always fail to disappoint..

Great episode. The BRZ and GT86 review was short and snappy, good enough. Amy MacDonald was an entertaining guest, she did seem to know a lot about cars, best SIARPC this series.

The race was very good, I have missed them. Brilliant ending too.

James on a bike was hilarious

The first time he loses and he's in a Mustang. Should have chosen a European car i.e a good car.

Ultimately his choice of car would make little difference as he's confined by speed limits, though I doubt he obeys them anyway.

I spotted something that made me wondering: Are these challenges even real?

Everytime there was a shot of the Mustang's dashboard you could spot the camera crew in front of the Mustang in their Range Rover. Which must mean Clarkson probably drove all the way at 90 mph or so and some bits where he accelerated just to make it seem like it was a race.

I'm kind of wondering what actually happened in all those races. Should I travel by car from here to Belgium, I'm 20 hours on the road including the ferry from Norway to Denmark. If I take a flight from Oslo to Charleroi in Belgium, it only takes 1 hour and 4 hours to drive to the airport and then another hour to drive form the airport in Belgium to my place there. So that's 20 hours by car, versus 6 hours when taking a flight.

Actually if he went for something more fuel efficient he may have had a chance due to less petrol stops. But efficient isn't a word Clarkson knows the meaning of.

Great episode. Loved the race and the SIARPC and the gt86 review.

I thought it was a pretty decent episode. When they made a big deal over the fact Jeremy couldn't win at the start of the second part, I was sure he was therefore going to win. Its nice to be surprised.

According to Google Earth Clarkson's journey would have taken roughly 12 hours. He did it in 16.

Brilliant episode overall. Though Clarkson's description of the GT86 was identical to the ones he used in their latest DVD and in the magazine, so it wasn't much necessarily new to me...though 1:31 isn't bad for something like that.

Race was certainly a lovely thing. The part where 50 Shades of Grey came in were especially interesting.

And Amy MacDonald really is someone you would want to befriend. Maybe if she bought some just slightly less full-on stuff she'd be even better - I somehow reckon she'd want, and be best in, the new F-Type.

They do the race proper, then spend the next few days retracing the route to get the external TV shots. The Rangey would comfortably keep pace with the Mustang and road speeds.

As PeterJB siad, Google Maps says the car journey takes around 12 - 13 hours. The latest AC Milan - Anderlecht match was Wednesday 21st November. The weekday morning Eurostar takes 2hr 37min, leaving at 0540, arriving 0917. The TGV from Paris to Milan takes 7hr 10min, leaving at 1041, arriving 1751. Combined that's just shy of 10 hours. Add an hour a city and you've got your race.

You are joking, right?

She had an unbelievably sexy accent.

Yes. SIARPC was by far the best part of this ep. A gearhead girl, and funny, and fast! Should've gotten a mm with her time, too.

Why can't we have a race that isn't all through France! Autobahn! Prague, Warsaw, I'd like to see those as destinations. Would've been better if James on his bike had won. Poor cheap Mustang didn't get to show its 202mph capabilities.

Also, would've liked a breakdown on the differences between GT86/BRZ/Scion models, all differently tuned for different feels, but still liked the GT86 bit.

Hahaha ya she sounded hot. I liked that episode. All the episodes where they do races across Europe are great. It's not even like you care who's gonna win it's just entertaining to see how it happens. American cars they always hate on too so surprised they got one. Probably because Carol Selby died so they could pay tribute.

Forgot to say (and nobody else has mentioned) The News was imbecilic, but made me laugh many times! Surprisingly funny, I have to say.

Just finished it,and what a great episode best one of the series so far. GT86 bit was good,Amy is now every petrol head's dream girl and that race was very well done.

The Top gear funny has returned  yes it still is scripted but I laughed alot more than last week's episode.

Overall I am pleased 👍

I thought it was pretty good, not as good as some of the past races, but still pretty good. The GT86 thing wasn't too bad and I'm still undecided whether I like the car or not.

I skipped the SIARPC segment because I didn't know who she was and couldn't be bothered. I typically skip it though.

I'm really looking forward to the hot hatch test next week.
