Although the Shelby was amazing, especially for the price (US prices are amazing) I wish Clarkson had actually used something realistic and that you can buy HERE for 30,000 instead of using something that would cost way more when you consider importing. Just for the sake of the race it would have been more entertaining.

The GT86 is great value and I bet they will sell a ton, I've already seen one on the road a few weeks ago. Wonder how many will plump for the Scooby version as it has a better sportscar brand image IMO.

The SIARPC was pretty good, you really can't tell by who's on whether it will be any good. The only thing I felt was the whole racer chick thing was kinda forced and overdone. Sure she may own those cars and like cars but it was almost like they played the interview to the demographic and it came across as scripted in places, like when she was going over specs of the R8GT.

All in all a good episode I thought, better than the last two which were so forgettable I can’t even remember everything that happened! I just remember a Yellow LFA.

Yeah I'd have preferred to see a car on sale here for £35 or less instead of the Shelby too, it's a car with character but it's not on sale here.

I've seen loads of GT86's on the road in the last couple of months. I think they're already selling well.

From the earlier trailer and other videos I have the feeling the Ferrari F12 won't be shown this series :(

I doubt it will, all the driving pieces have already been filmed it's only the studio bits that get done the week the episode airs.

I think Hamilton will retire in the middle of the lap while he was fastest. Or something will happen that was his fault.

I liked that episode for the most part. The hot hatch test seemed pretty thorough for Top Gear standards, which was pleasing. The return of the over test on the Kia was a decent segment, Clapton was ace on the guitar.

Hamilton's lap looked pretty good, but 1.1 second faster than Vettel, when F1 drivers are all do close, was a tad surprising.

Rugby was fun too, and Hammond wasn't too bad reviewing the Mastretta.

Handbrake thing got annoying though.

Not bad at all.

Nice to see they managed to cram more into this episode than in the previous 3 this series. The hot hatch reviews were interesting enough while not being too short, and the Kia test was great. Mastretta review could have been a little less brief, although Hammond wasn't too bad at that point which was a surprise I would have liked to see it set a lap time though. I can't say the car Rugby was bad either and it makes a good change from car football, but I felt it dragged on a tad. And while I didn't care much for Hamilton returning, it was a very impressive lap.

One thing I don't get is how they think those penis jokes are still funny, but whatever. It didn't make this episode any less good overall, and much like last week's, I enjoyed it.

I thought that was a pretty decent episode. Hamilton's interview seemed a little short, but then there wasn't much to talk about. The Mastretta thingy was alright, though it seemed to be there only to continue the long running joke. I liked the Cee'd 'review', and the hatchbacks too.

I for one was pleasantly surprised at how not-much faster the hot-hatches were than the underpowered GT86 on skinny tyres in moist conditions.

Missed the first 30 minutes but come on. Hamilton 1.1 seconds faster than Vettel? I'd be tempted to call BS on that.

Well, if they hadn't mocked about in the GT86 lap it would have been way quicker than the posted time. But it was entertaining and that's what TG is about after all.

Well he was almost as fast as the old stig in the wet.
The thing is Hamilton is known for taking any car and getting the most out of it as opposed to someone like Button who needs the car to work for him to do much with it.

Still, I'd say there's something fishy about this one. I'd say everything up to 0.5 secs I would have believed but not that. Nope, not buying it and the whining about Vettels faster F1 ride didn't help either.

I'm not a fan of the car football / rugby stuff, I think its pretty disgraceful that they trashed so many brand new cars plus they destroyed the pitch. Just all in all extreme wastage for what was a pretty boring segment.

The Cee'd segment was really good, nice to see a 'real' car on Top Gear now and then.

I still find Clarkson's Vauxhall hating hilarious all these years on because the truth is they do produce good cars. The Astra VXR is pretty decent and it has great styling especially the side profile. The new Ford ST looks terrible IMO and the Megane just screams cheap even though it isn't.

Could be at the end of the season where the pitch will get relaid anyway, plus sacrificing a few Kia body panels isn't going to bankrupt them. A Top Gear segment is a massive advertising opportunity considering that this episode will be syndicated across the globe and re-run for many years to come on channels like Dave. They're using mass produced cars for the segment, not 250 GTOs or anything like that.

It's not about the cost I just hate to see labour and materials wasted, people put those cars together and effort was made even though they are mass produced. And to think people have to fork out like a hundred quid for those panels when they have a shunt!

I'm sure it was great PR for KIA but I not a fan of mindless damaging new stuff which could be useful to someone (there seems to be a whole YouTube category for that!). Give the cars to people who need them.

As for the pitch it probably was the end of the season but surely they can give that turf to someone? What do they usually do with it?

I reckon Twickers would get a complete returf between seasons, so that grass was probably destined for compost whatever.

If I recall correctly, Ben Collins said in his autobiography that the Aygos used for car football were all ex-demonstrator models. Chances are this was the same for the KIAs and that they were already in pretty poor condition to start with ;)

A good episode, I thought. They crammed more into that episode than almost any episode of the last 3-4 years, and it seemed a bit more like a classic series 3-9 episode.

Far from perfect, I didn't really see the point in Hamilton's lap, and the time seems exaggerated, much like the Huyara's time from a few weeks ago. The news was a bit rubbish, but that aside, I liked the Cee'd review, and even Hammond was less annoying in this episode than usual. Hot hatch wasn't that bad either, even if I hate the looks of the Focus and Megane. Focus' backlights look like they're seeping, and the Megane looks like a shoehorn.

Cee'd rugger was good, but I was hoping for some BTCC drivers. And for May to win.

Thought it wasn't too bad. I liked the hot hatch and Kia test, but the Mexican car test was pretty boring. It looked really cobbled together and just didn't really show anything interesting. I would have liked to see it go around the track too.

I fast forwarded through the SIARPC segment, Lewis Hamilton is pretty uninteresting to me and is everything related to F1.

It would have been less uninteresting if it had been someone who hadn't already been on.

What about touring car, rally or GT racers? Or some of the older F1 drivers like Herbert, Brundle or Coulthard?
