Really enjoyed that episode, one of the best in the last 5 or so seasons.

It's not about the cost I just hate to see labour and materials wasted, people put those cars together and effort was made even though they are mass produced. And to think people have to fork out like a hundred quid for those panels when they have a shunt!

I'm sure it was great PR for KIA but I not a fan of mindless damaging new stuff which could be useful to someone (there seems to be a whole YouTube category for that!). Give the cars to people who need them.

As for the pitch it probably was the end of the season but surely they can give that turf to someone? What do they usually do with it?

:s Does it make a difference to the workers what happens to the cars when they leave the factory? Especially when so many are produced. Personally I would just be glad of the exposure.

It would have been less uninteresting if it had been someone who hadn't already been on.

What about touring car, rally or GT racers? Or some of the older F1 drivers like Herbert, Brundle or Coulthard?

Pretty much all professional motorsports bore me, but F1 especially so. I want to be out there racing, not watching it on TV and I really don't want to listen to racing drivers talk about anything.

Really enjoyed the episode! 👍

It was probably theyre most informative one in years!...

Good episode, but it pains to see the new cars getting thrashed. Again, I think the news section needs to stop focusing so much on one piece of news, especially if it's off topic. Was expecting to see a lap of the Mastretta.

Did Clarkson swear near the end of the rugby segment. I am nearly sure I heard him say **** just before he slammed into May.

I think so, yes.

Also, if they think the Cee'd is so good, does that mean the 2014 5-door Forte is going to be great?

Terrible episode.

Liked the hot hatch comparo best, probably.

Seriously though, the handbrake thing, that was the whole news segment? And continued throughout the episode?!? Kept thinking, they're done with this now, right? Nope. And Nope. And Nope.

Cee'd review. Really? Just because it's the new reasonably priced car? I just felt awful watching all of this. I'd love to see some nice consumer review/comparison bits (like the hot hatches in this ep, but for regular and not sporting cars.) And the whole rugby segment was worthless. The previous football/soccer bits were understandable because it was one model vs another, but this was all Kia on both sides. Where's the point?

Yeah, mastrato review was fine. And Hamilton's lap was properly quick, nice to watch. But overall...

Terrible episode.

The original one was Toyota Aygo's only.

By the way, I feel the episode was very good overall. Fair enough to him to say the Vauxhall is best, and great stuff to tell about the Focus like it really bloody is 👍 And his points on the Megane were fair enough, but if it were in yellow, it would have been the best. Probably.

I didn't mind the handbrake thing at all - I mean for all we know, it probably is true.

The Cee'd stuff was overall pretty good, rugby was lovely, was probably expecting something a bit different from Hamilton and the Mastretta seems OK...

If I recall correctly, Ben Collins said in his autobiography that the Aygos used for car football were all ex-demonstrator models. Chances are this was the same for the KIAs and that they were already in pretty poor condition to start with ;)
They could also have been pre-production prototypes that have to be destroyed.

Same with Theo Pathitis in Ep. 1. In each case they were literally seconds into the watershed so all was fine :3

Poor eel though

Very sad indeed :(

Remember kids, never play outside with sodium when it's raining

Well wasn't expecting that but a very well balanced episode (sort of balance between fun and cars related stuff that Top gear should aim for every episode)Got the one spot on.

Cee'd Was a very entertaining segment (and not too un informative actually)

H.H cars was a fun segment (could have raced the 3 though)

I actually never heard of the Mexican sports car before so I enjoyed finding out about that ,News segment was meh (replace it with a H.H, race maybe? or do a cool wall)

Now I said before Lewis's lap would almost certainly would be quicker but wow a whole second

I am not saying they rigged the time but I guess Lewis had his fair share of tries ,not to mention he knows the track and to be honest if you look at the lap it is pretty astonishing .

Overall a very well balanced episode imo ,Entertaining and(somewhat factual actually)

2 good episodes in a row make up for that dissapointing America Road trip.

It is well know that, out of the top 3 F1 drivers, Hamilton fears Alonso, and that Alonso fears Hamilton and that both of them think that Vettel is only there because of his car.

Hamilton's lap backs that up. Now all we need is for Alonso to drive the Liana...

KIA must be happy after that episode, Clarkson seemed to like it, and rightly so, it's a nice car. He swayed my sister, who now wants one. I tried logging onto the KIA website straight after the episode but it had crashed from the amount of hits it was getting.

It's nice to have a bit of sensibleness from TG every now and again (discounting the rugby obviously).

Yes but a second faster on a relatively small track?

The fact they said "it's basically as good as a Focus, but has a 7 year warranty" means it's probably going to be our next car. Do they do an estate?

Best episode of the series, period. 2nd best was episode 1, bit this had it all, a sports car review, a mostly complete c-segment hot hatch review, the rugby was excellent, felt like something was missing, but still, some very good Top Gear

Not like they ever lied for publicity.....

Vettel was only 0.7 of a second faster than Hamilton's original lap, and it was wet for Hamilton and dry for Vettel.

True, but again he could have had more laps than seb at that time .

I am not trying to make light of a lap which when you view your jaw drops nor am I a fan of Vettel but I hardly think that was a fair contest,I won't argue that Lewis is the faster driver (others might)However a whole second faster than Vettel (not to mention other drivers like Rubens)well it feels odd to me

I love the look on Bruce Willis' face at the end of his cameo. You could tell that not only does he watch the show, but it must have taken a few takes for them to get that shot. He knew the stupidity of the bit, and fully appreciated it. By far the best part of the entire episode, in my opinion.

Never forgave them for not letting him set a lap time, to see what possibly the best racing drive in the world could do :grumpy:

Other way round - according to Ben Collins, Schumacher refused to drive the Liana.

Oh yeah... I know I said terrible episode, but Bruce Willis and Clapton cameos were pretty epic.
