Unpopular opinion: I think prohibition was a good idea after all because American beers are absolutely terrible.

Most American brands taste like sparkling water with some alcohol in it, or they went waaay overboard with the yeast resulting in a alcoholic water that tastes like a bitter loaf of bread.
Even the worst European beer brands are vastly superior to the beverages that those poor lost souls overseas drink.

Heck, Budweiser IS a European brand but I've never seen that stuff in a grocery store around here, not even in CZ. Its so terrible its only shipped to the US and never sees the shelf of a European store.

I can't say I enjoy American lager beer at all. An American ale, however, can be quite a nice tipple.

Is it safe for me to assume that you mean all American beers in your specific location are terrible? Not that all American beers in general are terrible?

Because that wouldn't be so hard to believe. The "mainstream", globally distributed beers from America would be terrible I imagine, but we have a pretty nice selection of beers here otherwise. Some of the best is the regional beers, the stuff you could only get in certain parts of the country. That's the stuff you wouldn't see outside the U.S.

To be fair, Budweiser isn't as popular here anymore either (at least not in my area). It's the beer you drink if you just want to get drunk for cheap.

But Prohibition also banned good Kentucky bourbon and decent scotch & rye. Not to mention a couple pretty decent wines.

I'll agree with the mega breweries, but the craft beer industry is excellent and better than most Euro beers I've had. I live in what is known as "Beer City, USA" and the amount of choice I have here is staggering.

Everybody talks about german, belgium and even czech beer, but nobody talks about portuguese beer, which is a shame, becuase they are great.

Craft beer is very good, but to me they don't justify the ~400% price increase on the mainsteam beer (at least in Portugal)

I love in another town that has a run at that title and I couldn't agree with your post more. The craft brews are where it is at.

America is overrated.

If you sit home and do nothing but post junk from your computer, everything is overrated because you've taken everyone else's opinion seriously and formed none of your own out of actual experience. Out pops another of your pity answers with no substance to back up your petulance.

Welcome to Immaturity; I suppose you'll be staying for a while.

Unpopular opinion :D Not necessary to back up.

Just bit bored though. Its not like im always post like this tbh. Lets be frank, this thread is just all fun and games. My series of "overrated" things here is just that. Whatever its up to debate or not is up to you.

Also other unpopular opinion: Cow meat tastes better than bacon.

We have Budweiser here in Ireland, and in the UK too. My brother actually likes it. :yuck:

Rock music, despite only very small group still playing it, is still good as it is.

Artic Monkeys is the last one AFAIK.

For people wanting some good rock music, check out a band called The Hunna. They are pretty new, and pretty darn good. Waiting for their breakout success.

The theme from Star Trek: Enterprise is the best Star Trek theme.
Star Wars is WAY overrated.
It's okay to watch kid's shows like Invader Zim, Danny Phantom, and My Life as a Teenage Robot. BTW, does anybody remember these shows?
Imagine Dragons' Smoke + Mirrors is MUCH better than Night Visions.
Trump is MUCH better than Clinton. Both are still 🤬, though.

It's necessary if you want people to take your opinion seriously and see where you come from.
Except I dont really need to. Im not kind of attention seeker where my opinions has to be taken notice. Its up to you if you want to debate or even like about my sole opinion. As long as Im not making personal attacks, I dont really care much.

Its funny since some people call myself immature, even though the title itself says Unpopular (which means I'm probably hated for some of my post here) and Opinions which is, well, opinions. I dont post often here. Its not like people here actually know my personal life be like anyways so might as well take a grain of salt.

Right now I dont have mood to take here personally. So lets go back into topic.

iPhones & iPads are great devices for gaming, and not just for superfluous crap like endless runners, incremental games AKA clicker/idle games, or trial-and-error games loaded with energy meters and microtransactions.

I'm talking real games. RPGs like KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Digital versions of card & board games like MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon. Adventure games like The Silent Age, Another World, Lost Echo. Heck, even some genres that wouldn't seem well-suited for touchscreens are surprisingly effective, like bullet hell/shmup games.

Certainly, not ALL genres work great with touchscreen controls. But a surprising amount actually work pretty well, and there's even some gaming experiences that arguably work better on touchscreens. If Apple actually designed a high-quality official gaming controller for iOS/tvOS/macOS and pushed for developer support and/or baked in some basic universal support into the OS, it could honestly be elevated to an experience that might threaten traditional game consoles.

Being able to play on the bigger screen of the iPad while I'm home and have my saves sync to iCloud so that I can continue playing on-the-go with my iPhone is just icing on the cake.

Whatever its up to debate or not is up to you.

Here it is, I left:

Moving right along...I think a discussion of whether a nation is good/bad/meh or over/under-rated belongs in a different thread, as it is extremely complex and we already have many about some rather large nation sandwiched between Canada and Mexico ongoing on our forums.

Waves stripey flag. :)

I don't understand how people eat the icing off of cake (especially ones with enormous decorative ornaments) but not the cake itself. To me, the icing is supposed to complement the cake, not mask it...

They're both standard politicians though, they're blowing enough hot air to heat up a whole house.

But it really is a case of bad vs evil, and I'm of the opinion that Mr. Trump is bad...

Seems to me like the US voters are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I know. I'm the complete opposite. I avoid eating the icing in most cases.

While we are on food. I eat most food (meat) without condiments. When I order a hotdog, I keep it plain. When I order a burger, I keep it plain. Anything else takes away from the natural flavor.

I can't have any meat without tomato sauce, it there is no tomato sauce, it is to dry and I can't eat it.

The fact charities like Help for Heroes exist disgusts me. I support their work and everything but the care of injured soldiers should be paid by the state.

But until the state does feel like paying for that, it would certainly be better if at least some organization did that in the meantime?

Well yes, hence why I said I support their work. It just angers me that they need to exist not what they do.
