Update 1.07 Undocumented Changes Thread - Sneak Peak at GTA Final Round in OP!!!

Cars still drive like POS :( . I'm losing faith that I will ever enjoy driving in GT6.

You're kidding right? I think the physics update they threw in has improved things quite a bit. I decided to have a little BMW M3 party in the wake of the new car being added to the game, and the tyre feel/grip threshold seems greatly improved, to the point where a loss of grip at either end is much more easily felt and controlled. I had a great time powersliding the various (stock) M3's around Ascari.

There is a slight change to the options list when viewing a replay or best lap replay. The option to view data (accel, braking, splits etc) on the screen used to have "display all" at the bottom of the list of available choices it is now at the top of the list. I noticed this as I run lots of WRS TTs, and use that option all the time.

Best news.

I am not sure they fixed Mt. Panorama on line. We tried to run some WRS practice sessions over the last few days and a race today and had to switch tracks as the lobby failed multiple times. For tonight's race that was scheduled for Mt. Panorama we are switching to a different track.

Trust me, I'm not a fan of it, but the fact that the buttons are incorrect makes it worse than if they were correct. That's all I'm saying.

I was making a joke, which doesn't always come across right on a forum, so I put lots of 's. :D

Since only the person who created the OP can edit it, and that person might not be online for some time, it makes sense to take 5 minutes and read the thread. The guy could be sleeping or doing laps, so might not be able to update OP all the time. It only takes a few minutes to read this thread and you will see how many times that question was asked.

He's Canadian, and the hockey playoffs are happening. A man has to prioritize!!

(Again, making a joke. :dopey: )

The red/blue abbreviation and hard lines in blur have definitely been fixed. Atleast at Laguna Seca they are.
You'll have to flesh this out, I honestly have no idea what you're talking about:lol:

Montreal 1 Boston 0. Game 7, Conference Final appearance on the line!

Edit: 2-0!!

I'm Canadian too, but I'm cheering for the Bruins.

2-1 Habs...

No offense intended to those suggesting physics changes, but I'm wondering if they would make global changes mid Academy.
Although, with it probable that round 4 will be the only one that counts, perhaps that changes things a bit.

Sorry, just thinking out loud.

Sounds like a personal problem. I didn't start with the hockey talk, mmmkay?

No, its not a personal problem. Discussing the hockey game is off topic and has nothing to do with this thread. If I want hockey scores, I'll turn on ESPN. :)

Maybe you should address this with the people who started talking about hockey rather than me.

I amended the OP to allow Habs-Bruins talk...only until the game is over of course

How convenient.

@DeifieD Maybe you should practice what you preach. You have no problem acting like the thread hall monitor, but you're not setting a very good example yourself.
I wasn't trying to be a hall monitor. I just got annoyed with lazy people asking the same question 10 times. Why you picking on me Ratt? Telling me to practice what I preach but then going after me in an off-topic way? Why don't you practice practicing what you preach?

I would test it myself but I'm trapped on 1.06 for a little longer.

But rounds 1 and 2 of the Academy would be a reasonable ground for testing any general physics changes.
With so many people running countless laps, and under such controlled conditions, if reports came back of sudden improvements in times then it would point to changes due to the update.

That did occur to me, but I'm convinced that the limit of grip is more easily felt post-update. I had a bit of trouble controlling powerslides previously, but last night I was having an absolute ball with the M-cars.

I'm not sure exactly what has changed. I initially thought it might have been related to camber but that's been proven to not be the culprit. The cars definitely feel more grippy on the tires, and a bit more understeer prone due to the increase in grip.

I previously stated that I suspect a tire model change. I noticed it in the Nurburgring 24 minute race.

Edit: it should totally be 2-2 right now, so close...

Certainly not arguing that nothing's changed, it could very well be the case.
But as it stands, the best I can do is only read about it at the moment. :(

*edit for typos*

I'll write a more detailed comparison tommorow, but I can confirm that it is fixed. I just did a test with old shots and the same replay and the blur is vastly improved. Thank you PD, this was a huge annoyance.

The reason I thought it wasn't fixed is because even the VGT press shots still had the blur issues.

Soon, I will need 6 degrees of negative camber... So much understeer. I thought I was imagining it.

I'm not really sure, but the RS tires wore a lot quicker in the 24 minute race, and had way less grip.
Not familiar with racing softs.

Just noticed what I've experienced on comfort soft, sports soft, and racing hard, as I drove cars today with those tires on them.

Oh lord, what have I done?!? :dunce:

On topic. I did a couple races earlier and something feels different. I can't put my finger on it, I was driving unfamiliar cars. I almost thought I noticed something different about the FFB on my GT3 RS, maybe on brake lockup, but again I can't put my finger on it. More testing required.
