Considering the wait, are you happy with how the finished product appears to look?

Time to bring in again Top Gear Test Track.....

I think that'll be impossible because the track overlaps.

Heres a quick Monza Old Oval. The scale is off but you get the point.

Australia and Russia only atm.
Oh darn. :( COME ON PD RELEASE IT IN THE STATES NOOOOOW kbgebvkgnelvnlME;PVFMJ;LANJEVLKNKNADVJBNH*

*= This gibberish is a joke. I feel the need to specify that for some reason.

10 kilometers max, eh? Well, this one certainly fits the bill...

We might not have an in-city nighttime setting available for the Course Maker, but at least we could make the layout happen. And as far as I'm concerned, joining these two tracks (using either the GT1 or GT3 variant of SSR11) would be just about shy of 9 kilometers. So yeah, this is possible. :)

Pleeeeeeeease. Do this!!!!!!

Nope, by far it wasn't the first complaint.

Why would I rejoice about them releasing a feature, which was "almost ready" at launch, which was the main reason I bought GT6 almost 2 years ago, more than 6 months after I stopped playing the game? Especially when it's much less capable than they made it sound like before GT6 released. Just like the "all new" B-Spec, this is far too little, too late.

10km circuit length might be big enough for you, but it's not even half the length of tracks already in GT6. My ps3 isn't limitless in power at all, since it died and I got rid of it ages ago.

I stated my opinion, that I was disappointed by the small maximum track length, which I'm more than entitled to, and you tell me to rejoice, then rant at me with exclamation marks, and then tell me to chill out? lol Take your own advice mate.
Yeah, I was expecting more myself.

10km x 10km area, biggest track is either 4.9km x 0.1km or 2.5km x 2.5km... Especially when you consider Sierra was supposedly made in course make and is like 22km long?

Still better than GT5's course maker though, which is good considering GT5's B-SPEC was, IMHO, 10 times as good as what we eventually got in GT6.

The inability to adjust elevation does kinda suck because it destroys a lot of my ideas, especially my replacement the boring, IMHO, super long straights of Bathurst with something resembling Watkins Glenn.

Right, but there will be a problem, maybe two.

1. You will soon have a bunch of poor made recreations like the old Hockenheim or Imola. If there is not an ranking system to highlight the good from the bad layouts, there will be a lot of frustration.

As someone who has downloaded many mods on PC, I've seen this a lot so hardly something for me to worry about.

2. As the company who has the rights for everything concerning "my" track, like Imola. I wouldnt like to see, people use my track layout without permission. So... sue PD, Sony, the user himself??

Then...don't share it. Simple as that.

So, wait, is the app out now?

Where ever its Wednesday the 30th, it is (which by now, I suspect should now include parts of Asia as well as Europe).

I was just about to start until I remembered the overlap meaning from my knowledge impossible, Stage 11 might be possible though

Yeah I read that literally right after I posted that. :guilty: but this should still be fun nevertheless. Just waiting for it to release in the states.

maps and images, GPX/KML files can be superimposed over the editor, allowing you to recreate real life routes"

Is that our "GPS thing"?

Some GPS software can generate these files, right?

Google Earth can create KML. Many sites online let you map out bike rides and download them as GPX.
If we can just import Google Earth KML files 👍

Yeah it's definitely a lot better than GT5's track generator, and even though I never really got into B-Spec in GT5, I agree they went the wrong way with the GT6 version.

I also agree the lack of elevation control is a big miss. Elevation changes can make or break a track. Some tracks look positively boring in layout on google maps, but are great to drive on because of elevation changes.

Whoa, no changes in elevation? So the tracks are flat other than banking in curves?

Presumably the environment you select will have it's own elevation differences, and where ever you build you track you will be just laying it on top of the existing elevation changes. But, no, you can't actually alter the elevation yourself.

I couldn't care less about the course maker. It's going to be basically useless anyway. The only thing I'd like to see is an update that improves general performance of the game. If I could get a constant, unwavering frame rate that never dropped below 50fps (30fps??) from the cockpit view I'd be happy. A constant 60fps would be a dream come true...

I was going to reply to you this morning, but work got in the way.... Anyhow:
Are you sure you want to think that way? Especially that now we know pretty much how it is gonna be...
I agree with you that frame rates drop down gets in the way of the game.... But at this point, I would rather have a brand new feature until GT7 comes... For sure there won't be any frame rate issues on the PS4.

Until then let enjoy the CM, hopefully the frame rates don't get worse....
